[Q] [Problema] EFS restored but not registrered on network

hi! i've a samsung galaxy note 2 n7100 , i've flashing a offical rom samsung 4.1.2 with a superuser AUTO-BOOT and SuperSU ... but one day i would have flash a offical rom 4.3 ... the flash with odin is PASS ... successiful... the n7100 work fine but not call... i see the imei and is changed! ... i buy a z3x box , take another one SUPER USER and i restore the imei...but NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK!!!!
i see and i product id is NOT ACTIVE ... i repair with z3x but another one not call ... have a solution?
i controlled the imei and is valid (is not in black list).
i take a SUPERUSER and i digit *#0808# an tap AP ---> MTP+ADB

i try to change modem on my operator, but nothing ,i try the efs folder on another note2 (4.1.2) but nothing... i don't have an idea...

You've to re-flash your current ROM or any you wanted to after restoring EFS_backup to start working with imei.

I've reflashed the official rom but i don't have the network... my problem is the EFS folder corrupt and i don't have a backup for restoring because the android official 4.3 corrupt the efs before the rooting!
but i've another n7100 with android 4.1.2

If you can see your IMEI in the about windows right, then you have to flash the 2 files in the thread I posted earlier after you flash 4.3 rom
that's it and voila you are gonna have your network back

Verify your IMEI first, if it is stating with 0049 then it means you haven't restored your efs partiton yet. And if youv'e your original IMEI then you just have to reset your phne by 'Settings' menu.
Verify and then report i'll walk you through the guide.
Note: Backup your phones content before resetting.

i see the guide but when i've flashed the wifi phone death and i reflash all firmware for fix...
i've tryed ARIZA patch but now my phone is in bootloop on samsung screen...i can only DOWNLOAD MODE and RECOVERY or nothing... have a solution?...i'm disperate!

i would try to flash all file (pit boot pda phone csc ums) by odin but i don't find the file...help me...

i had that problem... you have to flash the same oficial version and then restore the efs to the same version, and when i say same version its the 4.3 or 4.1( equal to same of the backup version) BUT ALSO the same modem version and band base

Just try this method,
Goto 'Settings >> Backup & Reset >> Factory Data Reset - Reset phone & reset everything. This would work with your IMEI.
Just remember to backup your phones storage first.

.PIT file
BL
AP
CP
CSC
for any firmware n7100 because is 4.3
take a V on
AUTO REBOOT
RE-PARTITION
F.RESET

You've to flash everything one by one to accomplish the work. All flashes at one time won't work at all.

but my efs is already corrupted... i don't have any ideas for solved this...
i don't have nothing backup for this folder, all corrupted and i can't restore... sigh...
i try to restore the efs with another n7100 (4.1.2) ... but i'm not solved...

1st. Efs has your phones specific data like wi-fi, bluetooth, imei and all other id's so have you came to restore your friends phones efs?
Have you got root? If so, try to flash your phones specific rom by app "Mobile Odin Pro".

Have you tried flashing those two files from the link provided on previous page? I think-not.
Flash a custom recovery through PC Odin PDA/PA tab, you can flash this one

Then flash those two files (kernel and modem) through recovery.

If you are already on a custom recovery, you don't need to flash it again, just flash those two zips from the link.

What about the 'Mobile Odin' solution have you tried it yet?
If it don't work I'd suggest you to try to make things work using Samsung Kies software for Desktop (It'd detect your phone, s/w automatically and procedure is already enlisted in Kies).
And one more thimg, have you noticed what you've had labled this Thread?

i've tried with KIES, and I tried all your advice suggested but to no avail...
i've tried with ODIN pc not MOBILE ODIN, i've flashe this firmware N7100XXUEMK9_VFGEMK4 , next i've flashed --> N7100XXUEMK9_ITA , next autoroot --> CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5 , next cwm recovery ---> recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.3-n7100.
in cwm recovery i flash DN3 rom , but i've not solved the problem on the network...
i restore the old original firmware (N7100XXUEMK9_ITA) and i reset EFS with z3x box...
NOW i'm in stalled mode with efs folder resetted and imei 00004999 ... any idea?

Ok i decided to upgrade his phone gt-n7100 to kitkat 4.4, as a surprise .. but. :crying:
as per dr ketans instructions,
installed odin.
installed cwm.
downloaded N7100_ND3_DrKetan_Custom_ROM_V7_3. installed via cwm.
rebooted. worked fine.
But no net, and phone would not show charge icon so installed as recommended in the guide the bootloader N7100_ND from d-h.st/TQq
using odin (installed as bootloader)
rebooted ... but now phone stuck on intial screen. :crying: :crying: :crying:
CANNOT go into cwm
tried flashing cwm again. no avail
tried another rom N7100XXDMG1_N7100ODDDMG1_INU_Prerooted. it fails to flash
tried kies, to update rom, it says cannot update this device
cannot find stock image (hotfile is down), nor am sure if it will update.
please help, where did i went wrong. followed everything to the instructions. spend so long trying to fix it. finally posting here in hope of help

1. Reboot to recovery - Power button+Home button+volume up then factory reset if this don't work:
2. Download a 4.4.2 rom from Sammobile and flash through Odin and then repeat the procedures to install Dr Keaton Rom.
Hope you can solve the problem.

You did a lot of steps that shouldn't have been done in the first place so instead of trying more things that wouldn't work just flash the official stock NE1 firmware from https://mega.co.nz/#!2QRmCbyb!YkWs927BfvYxqL-vJiQHXkshqG3UtqHm4XIDbgLsEK0 ,extract the zip file you'll get a tar file ,put your phone into download mode , (uninstall kies) only run odin, connect the phone to computer,make sure the ID:COM turns blue then check mark AP/PDA tab on odin and select the downloaded firmware.Dont touch anything else hit start and let odin do it's magic once your dad's phone successfully boots and you get network etc etc.then ask me i'll tell how to root the stock firmware and run custom ROM.Good luck.

Please let me know how to kitkat it now.
Should i follow same steps.
i.e install cwm

That's odd,go perform a factory reset and see what happens.Which one was your previous ROM?
Edit: After factory reset if it still boots in your old ROM, reflash the stock rom i gave you and then tell me what happens.
Use odin v3.09 at least ill give you the link hold on

Yes you dont need bootloader nor wifi fix anymore since flashing official stock 4.4.2 you are on the newest boootloader.Now you need to root your phone.So you need philz touch 6.41.tar file and supersu v 1.97.

The above posts show how to flash recovery in odin and do exactly what it says in the image UNCHECK AUTO REBOOT IN ODIN once its done flashing and says pass phone wont be turned off so remove the phone from laptop and pull the battery out and follow my instructions there.
Once you boot your phone again after flashing superSU it will ask you if you want to disable KNOX select yes (knox will be triggered to 0x1 that means warranty will be void)

The above posts show how to flash recovery in odin and do exactly what it says in the image UNCHECK AUTO REBOOT IN ODIN once its done flashing and says pass phone wont be turned off so remove the phone from laptop and pull the battery out and follow my instructions there.
Once you boot your phone again after flashing superSU it will ask you if you want to disable KNOX select yes (knox will be triggered to 0x1 that means warranty will be void)

Btw the link to download odin seems to be spamware, insted of downloading odin, i got a program 104kb giving lots of options, and at the end still did not install odin. Just for info. (i already had odin later version, and used that before, but wanted to check if a newer one is available, so header over there).
Going to install dr ketans custom rom. fingers crossed.

Finished flashing dr ketans rom, and it booted just fine, albiet slow compared to the stock rom.

Ya i think all the custom ROM for our note 2 are heavily modded the latest ones that's why sometimes just to feel the smoothness i flash back stock ROM and when i get bored of them i flash one of the custom roms.Glad to know you were able to successfully flash the rom of your choice.Enjoy.

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my galaxy note 2 N7100.
The problem is the following:
One day I was using my phone normally, and all of a sudden the screen turned off and the phone never turned on again, (if you press the power button the screen turns a little gray, but you must be in a dark place to perceive it)
I can't access download or any other mode, or at least I can't detect if the phone has accessed it, because the screen just turns a little gray and does nothing else.
I have the drivers and have the official ROM for my region, ODIN installed, ADB, and other flashing tools and recovery files. But it has been long time since the last time I flashed something or did anything to the device and would appreciate a little help.
Can anyone here help me to solve this issue or knows what is happening with my phone?

Update: I "think" I got into download mode blindly, just press the home+power+down vol buttons, then pressed up vol and connected the phone to the usb, surprisingly the computer made the usb sound that indicated me that the connection was recognized, Odin showed the ID:COM blue, so I proceeded to load the original rom and flash it, it took around 3.5 minutes and finally it showed succesful. But when I pressed the power button to turn on the phone, the screen still grey and doesn't start. I'm starting to think its a screen problem. I already purchased a new screen so I'm going to tell a frend to install it for me.

i don't know how i did that stupid thing ! i'm using note 2 gt-n7100 ( rooted ) i tried to install a new rom that doesn't built for my phone with " mobile odin v 4.2 pro unfortunately it flashed the sumsung star dous stock rom on my mobile but it doesn't boot .. i entered the philz touch recovery menu and select clean to install a new rom and restore my old rom and the problems started to appear !
the first thing is when i press the power button to lock my note 2 and try to open it again i find no response at all and the only way is to remove the battery and re turn it on again and try not to press the lock button as if i do so my mobile gives me no response and the screen doesn't turn on !
the second matter i noticed that when the start up i found the bluetooth icon trying to turn to green like i'm turning the bluetooth on but a few seconds it didn't turn on even i try to turn it ! the bluetooth doesn't work at all !
the third thing when i recieve a call that turn on the proximty sensor automatically if i touch the sensor the screen go black but i lose the control and give me no response at all and i have to remove the battery and turn it on again !
the things i noticed when i flashed the galaxy star rom with mobile odin that it has partion called param and the note to doesn't have it with its rom but have partion called modem which i didn't found in the galaxy star rom !
i need help please how i delete things that caused that conflict .. i tried to reflash the stock rom of my note with odin on my lap top but nothig changed and it hanging and the screen freezes with no control at all and that happened when i try to use a custom rom and flash it through the recovery .. please help urgently

Two options I see:
1. Try to restore your device using Kies3
2. Flash newest firmware (get it from sammobile) for your region using PC-Odin.

Putting "need help urgently please :'(" does not help you in any way, in fact it makes it more likely that people will simply ignore the topic. Topic titles need to be descriptive, not generic non-descriptive.
Your problem is that like many newbies you cant be bothered to do research, read and learn before messing around with your device.
You should boot into download mode and flash a stock rom. Preferably a older one that doesn't have knox. Then flash a stock rom(without knox) in recovery mode. All the info you need is here on forum.

i forgot to tell that one of the things changed that my mobile lost the usb support in the normal mode as there is no change when i connect it to my pc except it charges only but it works in the download mode and when i reflash the stock rom v 4.3 the screen freezes after a few seconds of turning it on and i have to remove the battery .. do you think that flashing the 4.4.2 sthock rom will make a change ? as the solution of kies isn't possible due to the lack of usb support !
is there a way to format the sectors that the pation " param " which flashed by the sumsung star dous stock rom is in it and make that conflict to delete that ??

What was your last stock rom on your device before messing up?
I do absolutely not agree with those horror tales about knox, most people don't use and easily get rid of.
Do you remember your last bootloader? MK4 or above? Then don't take any risk by flashing 4.3 firmware and go straight ahead to 4.4.2.
It will be the safest way to get a working device again.

i'm sorry for the way i show my problem as i'm a newbie already .. it that possible to downgrade my rom ? i will try install 4.1.2 rom then flasing the 4.4.2 one but when i flashed the 4.3 stock rom the screen freezes and nothing changed what do you think of that ? it there's a way to delete the " param " found in the sumsung galaxy star dous rom ? i think that made this conflict but try to explain to me why flashing an old rom then a new one without knox ? what will that do ?

i was using dn3 rom which has android version v 4.4.2 but i enter the recovery and restored the stock rom v 4.3 and it works with no problem and it was the last rom i use it when i flashed the star dous rom through the mobile odin in my mobile .. is there is a things i must do when i'm flashin the rom through the pc odin ? like check the repartion option or some thing else ?
my bootloader version is : n7100xxuena1 what that mean ?

So you can also try the NA1 firmware, but nothing beneath that. NA1 is a knox enabled BL, so whatever you flash successfully will have Knox in it.
DON'T TICK REPARTITION!

what you mean of the NA1 firmware if you mean the 4.3 stock rom i flashed it with the pc odin and my mobile screen freezes as i told you and nothing changed .. give me obvious steps 1 2 3 to do it to solve this problem and if you can give me a suitable download links .. now you know all the issues with my mobile and thanks for your interst

1) Go to Sammobile
2) Find firmware for your region -> download
3) Find Odin 3.09 -> download and install
4) Start Odin 3.09
5) Plugin device -> see if Odin displays active com port
6) Go into download mode
7) Link firmware download in tab PDA/AP
8) Let Odin check md5
9) Press start button
10) Wait until display of com port in Odin turns green and says success.
All these steps could also be found with an easy Google search or in Youtube tutorials

Thanks for your work but I did all these steps but my mobile freezes and noying changed fir sorry .. I flashed the 4.4.2 kitkat stock rom which is the latest one !

OK, I see. Try a wipe from stock recovery, wipe all possible.
Another option: Kies!
I know, you said not recognized but you must get it to work. Uninstall all drivers from PC an re-install drivers until Kies can restore your device.
Very last option: Find a Samsung repair near to you.

Look I searched the internet find something I think it will be useful if we can use it successfully called n7100 rescue rom consists of 5 files in one zip file it is the fully original factory rom but unfortunately it's 4.1.2 jellybean so how can I flash this rom successfully ? Is it possible downgrade the bootloader first or what ?? Please help

As you mentioned you already have been on NA1 firmware and as it seems you have flashed latest 4.4.2 with "a kind of success" I find it hope- and useless to even try this rescue rom. Bootloader is the reason why you can't successfully flash. NO DOWNGRADE POSSIBLE.

Can you illustrate your words ? For kies it's unpossible to connect my mobile to any pc the drivers works perfectly for any similarphone the fault is in my mobile not the driver and for sumsung care it will be high cost as the warranty ended ! And I wipe every thing possible through the stock recovery but noyhing changed !

I am beginning to lose my patience cause you don't follow my advice or even don't consider that I am right.
Look into system on your PC if there is an unknown device.
Whenever hardware is connected to PC Windows starts to search for drivers.
It doesn't matter that other devices are recognized correctly.
Wipe all Samsung drivers and re-install. Even re-install Kies too.
Start Kies and try restoration, maybe it will fail, but try. AND with current drivers you are supposed to fail.
At last: Try to find a friend with knowledge who can help you at your home or his.

Hi, first of all sorry about mi little english... I have the following issue:
I bought my Find 7 from Telcel (Mexico), the model of my find 7 is shown as Model Number: X9076 and Version Number: X9076MX_12.
I've tried to update (using both project spectrum zip and ColorOS V2.1.5i) using the methods that oppo described in their community posts (flash with stock recovery) with no success. It fails to update and reboot and the only message I get is "Actualizacion Fallida".
Would you please help me with a solution for this problem? Any workaround? It is because of telcel firmware?
My current ColorOS Version, it is V1.2.1i, Android 4.3

Flash the recovery update from this thread first, then try to flash the COS update again.

Thank you very much for your answer my friend.. sadly it didn't work.. it keeps telling me "Update Failed" message.. should i try flashing the recovery img using fastboot or unlock the bootloader first (if possible on find 7)? It is safe to install any other recovery like twrp and try to update from it? The phone isn't rooted, it has stock telcel firmware.

It's possible that the update .zip you downloaded just didn't download correctly; it got corrupted or something. Maybe try downloading it again, and then try installing it again. The first tutorial has worked fine for myself and many others.
However, it is safe for you to install TWRP. I'd recommend downloading it direct from their website here . Grab the latest version available and flash it using fastboot.

Thank you again for your answer.. i managed to install the recovery and the COS update using fastboot flash and the recovery img (version 4.3) from the zip file... Now I'm setting up mi Google account on the device... so it's done...thank you so much for your assistance.

I am assuming your boot loader is unlocked.
Power it down. Then hold power and volume down to boot into recovery mode. Download the latest factory image. Then use the flashall bat file to flash it back.
Edit the flashall bat file to remove the -w so you save your data and apps and flash it.

Yes...bootloader is unlocked...I was trying to root/install TWRP....and ended up here...as long as I don't relock my bootloader...I didn't screw anything up....correct?

With the bootloader unlocked you can always get out of these bootloops but it a lot of times requires flashing a new factory image. I have gotten out of bootloops by going back into twrp and doing the factory reset but of course you lose all your data with that. It just depends on what sent you into the bootloop but they can all be fixed by flashing a new factory image. So far, I've never hard bricked a device but I've been in many bootloops!
PS: if you're on the May edition of the OS, then you need the verified boot signer to install twrp or root.

If you're on May, download the verified boot signer, go into bootloader mode, flash the twrp.img so you get to twrp again and reflash the twrp.zip along with the verified boot signer. If you're on June, then that's not the problem but if you have mismatched slots (a/b not the same) you can get into these problems as well.

Im flashing/fixing it with the latest one (June 2017)... guess I need to figure out how to root/custom recovery better.....its no like any of my other Nexus phones...lol

This one is definitely different than my nexus 6 was, the 2 slots, etc. But after you flash it with June, you don't need the boot signer. You've seen some guides about the temp twrp.img first from adb/fastboot, then the permanent twrp.zip next flashed from within the temporary twrp, SU 2.82 is what I install next from twrp. You can find the guides. Having the June factory image on both slots can avoid a lot of problems (at least it did for me).

I can boot the phone up now... But still get the message at startup....

I assumed flashing the stock image would have given me the stock recovery, so I wouldn't get that message anymore..

No, that "can't be checked for corruption" stuff is because you have an unlocked bootloader. It'll always say that when the bootloader is unlocked, just ignore that!

Oh.....what happened to the days of just having a little unlock icon and that's it....lol...
I'll try flashing twrp when I get home... Hope the guide works lol

You're always going to get that message as long as the bootloader is unlocked. I wouldn't worry about that message. My Nexus 6P always booted up with that exact message when the bootloader was unlocked even if I was otherwise running full stock. Google thinks unlocking your bootloader is by itself a serious enough security concern that you can no longer pass safety net on full stock with the bootloader unlocked.

I've found that if you fastboot reboot bootloader, then fastboot boot twrp.img.
Then flash twrp installer zip in twrp and then boot into system, I should work. Then you can download Magisk zip into phone and flash it in twrp. You will have root as super su doesn't work anymore. I'm on a Pixel XL with January 8.1 update. Good luck

The message is because the bootloader is unlocked, not because it is rooted. Fastboot boot or flash twrp and flash magisk if you want it rooted
