Just wondering whatever happened to your phone, and to let you know that if you got a replacement, or still have the phone root/odin/stock all are now available..

I had no idea what i was doing i think i bricked my phone or w.e
it just starts and it shows the Samsung logo and vibrates
nothing starts up. im able to get in to CW but i dont know what to do.
and if i hade to do al full system restore i would hate it cuz i will loose all my contacts.
Chances are they were synced eith google so your good to do an odin
Also keep a separate backup using the contact apps internal backup by hitting menu then pressing the backup option

As long as their is life it is not bricked...just sponged. Go into Clockwork and try a Factory Data reset and see if you can boot. Either way you will have to restore your data whether you Odin back to stock or this. It would help if we knew more about what you did to get here.
If you tried to flash an EXT4 ROM without converting first then you will have to either Odin or flash an RFS ROM by pulling your sd card and downloading and copying it with a computer then pop it in and flash. There are a bunch of videos in the stickies at the top of the General section of Samsung Epic that may help.
I've just used Triangleaway and it successfully reset my counter but the Yellow Triangle symbol remains during Download mode. Is there something i can do?
Im on a rooted but otherwise stock SG3 bought just Friday. I need to get it replaced after i discovered black stripes on my screen.

I believe Download mode is suppose to have the big yellow triangle, even after triangle away. Even if you phone is bone stock no root.the triangle is there.

yup its supposed to be there. the triangle it refers to in its name is actually from the S2 as they see a triangle on every boot. for us its just a counter reset

Thanks for the reply guys. I just got back from Sprint Store with my replacement. They don't really even look at it but i wanted to be careful, Although it did say modified in device setting even after flashing a stock firmware, But oh well.
I've done my fair share of searching and I couldn't come up with much so I strongly believe I have a unique problem. I hope someone can point me in the right direction
Im have a rooted GS3 747 running Paranoid Android. A couple days ago the phone wouldn't charge. I tried different cables and batteries and after some testing with other GS3's I realized that my phone's charging port was broken. As a result I couldn't even connect my phone to the computer to unroot it with odin. I want to unroot so I can send in the phone for repair under warranty. So I downloaded mobile odin pro and proceeded to unroot my phone. I copied the original rogers rom to the external sd, followed the instructions and started the process. Everything looked like it was going fine until I got stuck on the samsung screen. Did some more research and learned that I had to do a factory data restart by booting into recovery mode. Did that. By now I'm feeling pretty good about all this. I followed the instructions all the way and I'm thinking that I'm gonna get a stock phone shortly. Wrong! The phone was still stuck on the samsung screen.
Now since I cant connect my phone to the PC cuz the charging port is broken I dont know what to do. I would have just flashed Clockwork Mod like I did when I first rooted and started all over but I cant.
If no one has a solution then Im just thinking of sending it in as is. Maybe they wont be able to see that the phone is rooted since they wont be able to connect it their PC without swapping out the motherboard to fix the problem.
I should add that I went to a repair store to try and fix it and they told me that the only way would be swap out your mobo.

You will want to be sure that your flash counter says 0. This can be found by entering download mode (vol down, home, power) and you will see "custom binary count". that is how they will tell that you have rooted. Have you entered recovery and done a factory reset to get past the boot screen? If you can full wipe/ factory reset and get back into Android, I recommend you use "triangle away" app to clear your flash counter.

I entered download mode and dont see flash counter anywhere. I got the warning screen were you have the option to restart or download.
Ya I entered recovery and did a factory reset but nothing. Really cant do anything with charging port broken.
I sent it in anyways for repairs. Hopefully they just replace it
I'm having the same problem with my Gs3 with CM10 4.2.2 running. Thought this would help.

I have been inquiring about an issue with my att Note 2 being bricked. I can't get past the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" I have read a little about the Knox warranty being an issue. Is there ANY way I can do anything to get my Note 2 working again? Regardless of what stage it is in now?

Can you get into download mode?
To get rid of Knox warning you will need to remove Knox or disable it. Disabling it by rooting it with SuperSU 1,94 will take care of that.
To get past the hung logo, try going into recovery mode, even stock will work and factory reset. That should work. If it gets stuck on the pulsin blue Samsung logo, there's another process for that.

Well, up until today I could. Just tried and the notification light blinks red approximately every 10-15 seconds as the buttons are pressed, but no screen image. So I think that basically says goodbye to that phone?? Thanks anyways for your help!

Since I think my Note 2 is fried since I can't get any screen image to boot, just the notification light blinking when the buttons are pressed... I will continue this post for a short time just to learn more and understand what happened... I CANNOT get into recovery mode. I have tried and tried, and it will not boot into recovery. It just plain and simple will not boot into recovery. The only options my Note 2 would let me pursue was the Samsung Galaxy Note II screen, or download mode, but that was before today. I have not been able to even get to the pulsing blue logo at all. I am just puzzled. The more I think about it, I am almost considering the fact that it may have been hardware. I got the phone used, but to my knowledge stock. Could it have been rooted before? Stressing the internal? Its possible... And this could have tipped it over the edge. However, It was working, and something happened during update that got it stuck, and now its dead.

Since you can get to download mode you may be able to get it back.
Go through this step by step. Read it slow and follow every line.. From what you are saying this should fix it.

The main part is at the end of post #1. You will have flashed the stock 4.1.1 for ATT i317. It WILL hang on the WHITE Samsung Note II logo.
Boot into the STOCK recovery and do a factory reset. At the minimum Post #1 will get you to a fresh out of the box firmware load.for 4.1.1.
Hi i have Galaxy s4 that was ran over. The only thing that was broken was the display and maybe the internal memory because it wont show up on my computer when i connect it via usb. The phone turns on and i can tell it made it to the home screen because of the little jolt the phone does when it completely starts up. I put a sd card inside of it and it still didnt recognize any memory on the phone when i connected it to my computer, but the phone itself did come up. So i got the bright idea of re-flashing stock firmware onto a rooted phone without formatting it because i cant get to the memory (which is a problem as well) and now the phone is stuck at the samsung logo (i can tell this because of the continuous blue led staying lit). So is there anyway i can format the phone and reflash stock firmware on it? This is only because someone wants to buy the motherboard to repair a verizon galaxy s4. Please answer as soon as possible i have a few people wanting to buy it tomorrow, thanks!
**EDIT** Nevermind ive performed a factory reset on the phone and all is well. Sorry for the trouble!
