Press and hold the volume up + power button combination until you get three vibrations. Then when PC companion prompts you to connect your phone, press and hold the volume down key and simultaneously attach the USB cable. Your phone's led should turn green and the repairing process will start
Also, if PC companion doesn't work for you then try using SUS (Sony Update Service) or Flashtool by androxyde.

I have tried anything to everything from flashboot to zerg rush to even droid break nothing is working

I even tried flash tool but same thing happens the computer does not recognize the phone for some reason
Can anyone point me to the right direction ?

What firmware version you are on?

If your phone's firmware is .62 then you cannot root. You must downgrade to .42 firmware

Yes, you hold back button while plugging the device. NOT the volume down or menu button.
As for drivers. Try with uninstalling everything from your comp, Flashtool, SUS, PC Companion, etc... And then do a clean install of Flashtool + drivers.
Then boot your comp into safe mode (just to be sure, as sometimes some background processes are preventing drivers from being installed) and then connect your phone to comp into flash mode (back button while connecting cable), and let your phone be recognised.
Then you can reboot your comp back into normal state, and then perform flashing.

I tried, till it went vibrate 3 times. But the booting was still stuck on SONY logo
Keep your mobile for charging for some time and then reboot,I think it's the battery bug that's preventing the boot..you may have ignored low battery level (below.20%) which may have caused the phone to switch off..

If seus doesn't recognize your device then Download ftf (firmware file) specific to your device and region (search for it in android development) then flash the firmware using latest version of flashtool(really easy and only takes little time)...also remember to check only appslog while flashing and unchecking others(cache, etc),this will flash the firmware without loosing any data and will surely get u rid of the bootloops..for more help this page will help you to flash the firmware properly....( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229250)

Plug the phone in the wall charger. The phone battery will die then start to charge again. mine took about 2 full days before it showed red led. It all depends on how full ur battery was when it soft bricked tho..

I'd flash stock firmware now... You don't have to do something special. After that your phone should be working again.

Are you pressing it BEFORE you connect it ? You've got to press it before you connect it and keep pressing it until you connect it and green led appear. Because if you press it after you connected it, nothing will happen, phone will be just charging

Make sure u have proper driver installed in your windows 8 system...there is some driver issue with windows 8.
Start Flashtool before connecting your phone. So that u will know if your phone is connected properly. connect USB to ur PC holding the down button. If tthings go right, it should go in flashmode and green LED should be on,..
Now, click the lightening button in flashtool and select the ftf file from your pc harddisk...it should flash ftf in your phone.

Lets just analyze your problem:
You launched flashtool and started a flash session. And then a window appeared in flashtool saying that you have to connect your phone in flashmode. You pressed Volume+ and connected your phone.
I want to know what happened next,
Did the window telling you to connect the device in flashmode close down automatically?
Was a pop-pup shown in your pc telling you to choose your phone model?
If these didnt happen, what else did?
I can help you certainly if you can answer these questions.
How do i unbrick my phone? I can't take it to center because i have rooted and unlocked bootloader.
