Hi guys, I was searching and browsing the whole forum, tried everything which I found but I can´t unlock SIM lock, can anybody help me?
I flashed to stock ROM with CSC for Czech Republic (XEZ) but phone still wants unlock code.
*#272*IMEI# is not working, but I installed CSC_Changer app and I see that I have correct CSC.
I have no idea what to do else. Please help.
Thank you very much
The solution is:
1. Root
2. usb debug: on
3. select z3x com port (mine is com151)
3. first stage: start with usb (using adb com150)
4. second stage: finish with uart (com151)

Ok, sorry for not understanding the whole world, but I also tried z3x, but it wasn´t sucesful. Can you please describe how to work with z3x in that 3.3.4. points?
Thank you very much
The main reason for telling you to google it is because I also don't know. My phone was unbranded.
On that forum there were more people asking questions, and those questions may help you.
I found that information from google also
I don't even know what z3x is...
So guys, no idea how to unlock it by yourself?

Can somebody give me a step by step guide on upgrading ROM of my T-Mobile XDA1. There's too much information here and I can't get to a step by step guide. Kinda worried coz I just got hold of my XDA 1 (T-Mobile edition), I'm a palm user before.
This is my Device's Information
ROM version: 3.14.40ENG
ROM date: 11/26/02
Radio version: 6.18
Protocol version: 324e4
Pocket PC Version 3.0.12039 (Build 11178) (Don't know if this is 2002 or 2003 pocketpc)
I want to unlock the device that's why I'm upgrading. I will be using the yorch.net ROM (http://kitchen.romanweb.com/kitchen/index.php) in EXE file. How will I upgrade?
I already downloaded the ROM from yorch.net selecting
3.17.03 ENG O2-Euro (6656 kB available)
and
XDA-developers AutoConfig data (113 kB)
How do I upgrade my ROM? Somebody said that I have to sync my device (usb cradle with power connected) and after synching run the exe file on my desktop computer. Is this method fail proof? Will it not damage my device if ever there was an interruption or something? How can I make sure that I can go fail-proof? I don't have an SD card so I downloaded the EXE file rom update from yorch.
Should I remove the simcard while I update the ROM? What other things should I remove from my device? Can you give me pointers? Id really appreciate it.
Thanks
Also, I've downloaded the exe file from yorch.net (http://kitchen.romanweb.com/kitchen/index.php) and its size is only 150KB? I thought rom upgrade file are like 15MB? I'm really confused.
I just want to get it unlocked. I'll be using it in the Phils(GSM900/1800) and US (from time to time)
it's still 150 kb. Here's what it says when I view the log
./mkrom.sh: ../../kitchen.local/mkrom-inc.sh: No such file or directoryno files for configid 26220739Cannot fit files in given sectionsError splitting files

I am still working on it ... But , probably , you can get what you need .
Sprint,
Will this method unlock my device? Just want it to be unlocked. And I don't have SD card
Do you have SD card in your phone ?
Intresting ! I am on T-Mobil network and I am using AT&T ROM .
So  What is the question about locking and unlocking ?
:?: Do you have SD card in your phone ?
Hey
Can I use an MMC card for flashing? I MIGHT be able to borrow an MMC card. Also, I dont have a card reader but I have a digital camera which I can use to transfer the ROM image from my desktop computer to the card. Would you think it would work? Thanks again.
Hello
As I know you cannot use MMS card ... But :?
Probably my info is to old
Oh that sucks guess I have to do it the hard way (EXE file). Wish there is a fail-safe way of doing the upgrade. Im' kinda worried to damage my device, just got hold of it. I just want it to be unlocked.
will the exe file below work for me?

and

if all you want is to make it unlocked then getting the
seriel sync cable and using the program on this site
is alot easier then you dont have to worry about ending up
with a door stop
Rudegar, can you give me the link for serial unlocking? A step by ste p guide maybe? I'll just search for some1 who has a serial cable here in the philippines. thanks

i have been lookin' around to find help to unlock my tytn. Unfortunately everything i have done with the instructions found here were not helpful!
i do have a HTC Tytn with the following version:
ROM version: 1.18.260.2
ROM date: 07/22/06
Radio version: 1.03.03.10
Protocol version: 32.34.7010.01H
ExtROM version: 1.18.260.105
Model: HERM200
IMEI: 357719006002855
I’m using a XP Home Edition, 2002 version, and for some reason the HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a does not start automatically.
I’ve tried already the manual steps and on the tri-colour screen appears 1.09.ds (which i guess is the bootloader) and if i connect the phone to the pc by the USB cable does nothing! Then i must reset, so that it can start up and i'm able to run the RUU_Hermes.... and appears an error (200): invalid update tool. Although the error is different from the one u mention on the forum i ignore and carry on with the process.
i run Herm_Unlock, click unlock and check both boxes to unlock (sim/cid) wait and seen the success message.
i soft reset or turn off and turn on with a diferent sim card (from another company) and appears a new message saying "u have tried 13 times, plz wait until the waiting time will be exceed..." (did I exceed the number of time permitted?) and from there, there is nothing i can do!!! Neither put the code: 22051978 as u mentioned in ur forum because the OK button is unavailable!!!!
I’ve tried many times and the last one has yesterday at around 11am until this morning nothing happen. This message does stills there!!!!!!!
i am sorry for been so long but i really need ur very usefullll helppppppp.
thankssssss so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
waiting for ur replay!!!!

Well about 1 week ago i buyed HTC Desire , created goldcard , rooted , and flashed LeeDrOiD and everithing is great , but my friend also buyed Desire and did everything like me except one thing. he did not created goldcard
Here is his phone info and question , can he put stock firmware back witouth having goldcard ?
What RUU should he download , etc.
baseband:
32.49.00.32u-5.11.05.27
kernel:

build
2.33.163.1 c277878 relase keys
soft

BTW phone is not bricked or anything , it works great but he worry about future (paranoia about possible hardware malfunctioning and warranty , selling phone with stock rom etc)
He have different provider and i gues my goldcard can not help him.
Thanks.
Goldcard is only connected to sd card. So your friend can use your goldcard to flash stock rom.

6.5 Can I use a goldcard from someone else?
Yes you may.
It is true that if someone else can read the CID of YOUR sd card (from his phone) and give it to you, with the CID code, you can make it a goldcard without a phone. Once you have a CID code, the other steps don't need a phone. Note that CID is unique to the card and not to the phone/region of the phone. You can have anyone anywhere read the CID code of his/card amd mail it to you. You can make it a goldcard without your phone. See also 6.6 below.
6.6 Can I create a Goldcard without a phone?
You can if you have Linux. You need a Laptop card reader slot and Linux. Once in Linux, navigate to a folder like /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid
I havent tested it out in a LiveCD. Check it out and tell me.
Programmers have tried writing applications to interface the sdcard in USB mode to get its CID number, but it needs a PCI slot or device-a phone-Either Android/Windows Mobile. A PC application may be specifically written for a PCI based card reader to read the CID, but such an application would be hardware specific for the particular brand of PCI card reader. You cant use it unless you are a programmer and know to do that. As far as I know there are currently no Windows programs that do that.
To clarify, Once again,
The only thing you need from your memory card to create a goldcard, is its unique CID number (which is inserted by the manufacturer of the card)
The CID is unique to a memory card. It is not specific to the device
You can get the CID of the sdcard from:
Any Android phone which can connect and use the adb command.
A Linux operating system running on a Notebook with PCI slot which can read a memory card. Note: YOU CANNOT GET CID FROM LINUX FROM A USB CARD READER of a PC/Laptop. You need the PCI card slot.
You can even get the CID from a Garmin proprietory OS or a Windows mobile based phone. There are utilities available online using these, which can be seen in a Google search.
Do not try to get CID from any PC via USB cable. It can display a CID code but not the correct one. It is said that "USB lies about the CID".

according to this thread , your friend can use your goldcard and ruu with the same build number in his phone info to unroot. so he doesnt need to worry about the future
Hope this will help.

I hope someone can help me. I tried almost everything. My wave just won't boot normally. It all started when I tried to downgrade from Bada 2.0 (S8500XPKH3) to 1.2 (S8500XXJL2) and got a security port error while flashing (used Multiloader 5.65). My wave wouldn't boot up so I got someone to repair it with JTAG. Good thing it was revived. It can now go to download mode, however, i tried flashing almost all firmware versions (Bada 1.0, 1.2, 2.0) in different regions from samfirmware but to no avail.
I browsed through the forums hoping I can get an answer but I didn't see any similar case. I'm sure I'm doing the flashing right 'coz I get "All files complete." when flashing is done. Only that, every firmware that I try, it just stays in the logo screen when it starts up.
I'm looking forward for any response.
Best regards.
I guessed you have done all well. But still try this process:
1. Download a fresh, full and original firmware for your region from samMobile.com
(The firmware version does not matter, but it has to be full and for your region).
2. Make sure your battery is fully charged
3. Remove SIM and memory card from phone.
4. Ensure that all kies drivers are successfully installed.
5. Use multiLoader v5.65
6. Cross-check that your USB plug is not damaged (if possible use another one)
7. When flashing, make sure you tick the FULL DOWNLOAD option in multiLoader.
Try the above and report back. Best of luck.
yeah you should tick boot change and full download for a complete fresh installation
Good thing it was revived

Depend on how it was repaired via JTAG...
Maybe NV items are overwritten... this could be bad.
It is not the best idea to use Fullflash from others...
I have RIFF Box experiences...
Best Regards
P.S.:
Try to flash some Rsrc2_S8500(Mid).rc2
Maybe Bluescreen tell you what is missing...

Thanks for the tips guys. I tried the routine checking. I've also tried different a different pc. Same thing.
I'm more inclined to this adfree. NV items might be corrupted. I just know the basics of flashing.I tried several Rsrc2_s8500 (Mid) and yes I got a blue screen with details. I don't know how to interpret it myself but I remember there was IMEI not active. Will post the details later. Hope you or someone can share your thoughts.
Best regards.

I've been working on this for a week now but no matter what firmware I flash, i can't get my wave to boot normally
Try qualcomm tools to activate imei
ask Adfree or use google to find the qualcomm tools program and then make your imei active using your pc.
what region was your 8500 originally?
remember that different region firmware use different boot files.
Try to use the boot files that was on your wave originally.
For some reason, it's showing "IMEI not active" when I get the blue screen after flashing with Rsrc2_S8500(Mid).rc2.
I read adfree's qualcomm tools guide and it was more on editing the product code. And, i can't access the configuration mode/hidden menu since I can't boot the phone normally.
IMEI is NV item 550 and ...
But it is secured by...
I have never tried on S8500...
Lost IMEI is enough evidence, that NV items are corrupt/missing/damaged...
I'll try to analyze your Error message...
.. will report later.

I think the guy who tried to resurrect my phone was using JTAG Medusa. Is there any possibility something went wrong during the process? I was just happy that the phone can go on download mode but didn't expect that whichever firmware I try, phone is just stuck on logo.
With regard to the IMEI, should i recover it, will it have a good chance to fix the problem? Can i use qualcomm tools even if the phone can only run on download mode?
if use medusa make this erase full flash after that write full from support stop writ flash in 6% in flash procedure after this flash full flash all files with boot after this pach wit z3x pachv2.Repair imei and al by ok
tested with s8500 whoo come in donload mode with 3 butons vol - lock and power
in first when try flash bada 1.0 soft after ffs write in screen see missing fota 2.0 please instal instal bada 1.2 after this
@OP:
Your SysSec data, which is closely related to NvData, has been damaged, probably by JTAG ovewrite. These data are encrypted by device-unique key.
It is possible to repair it without JTAG, through modified FOTA. But I don't think I'm the one to try this. Last time I played with that data I damaged my BL3. :\
Thanks for those who provided their insights. I kind of gave up last week and had to bring my phone to the service center. Fortunately or not, the tech had to replace the motherboard which cost around 170 USD including the "repair fee". My phone's back with a new motherboard and ready for some risky flashing again. Hehe.
Anyway, thanks again guys. Good day to y'all!
full erase flash only 6% from full after thath full flash with orginal flasher now read wit rj45 cable with z3x nvm from phone in 550 string see if imei is 359321654 need write 8a31391256 and write in phone now imei ok or select in z3x i 5500 put orginal imei and sn repair all come good and working
after all ok read full again from phone search s8500 and see you detail if need edit as your orginal string

During my plays with RIFF JTAG and few stupid experiments with full erase I'm now facing same problem...
Strange, but this happens with my own JTAG dump...
Will see how long I need to repair this...
Best Regards
It seems no good idea to be. To erase whole NAND via JTAG...
Anyway... long time and luck... I was able to bypass Boot Cycle and then to Restore NV items via QPST...
Maybe 1 part of solution is, to use Firmware BOJE7 with Bootloader XXJEE...
Then maybe your handset start...
Now you can access menu to change to Qualcomm Diag Port for restoring NV items...

Hello, techs. I need help. My Samsung a50 is not turning on to normal and not charging. It stuck on the Samsung logo. I googled some troubleshooting but they are not working. I'm trying to boot it on recovery but there's no chance. I even tried doing that while charging on external power and on my laptop, but no chance. The only thing I can do is boot it on download mode.
I'm trying to flash it with Odin but the problem is which firmware do I need. I look upon the IMEI and model number of the phone at its backplate (356796101130659, SM-A505GN). I tried to check my IMEI on samfw.com to see which PDA version I need but the problem was the details are not matching. The model number shown is SM-A505G and its carrier ID (XTC, Philippines) is nowhere to find.
Device's details on the backplate:
IMEI: 356796101130659
IMEI: 356797101130657
S/N: R58M46SAJXK (matched)
MODEL: SM-A505GN
Device's details on samfw.com:
MODEL: SM-A505G
PDA: SM-A505GZWWXTC
S/N: R58M46SAJXK (matched)
Any suggestion?? huhu, please. I need my phone now as a tool for board exam review.
