[Q] Custom boot animations - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Can anyone help me with how to use custom boot animations? I am running Darthstalker. I am used to it being in /system/media but I do not see bootanimation.zip. Any input is appreciated.

Don't know where they are stored on your phone but you can flash these.

Why cant i simple replace the boot/shutdown animation?
Is there some md5 check ?
Is here no moder who can help me?
After changing Wallpaper, Sounds, Boot-/Shutdownanimation needs them a new signing?
Please help me
My Desire is rooted and S-Off. All I need to do is replace the boot and off animation files under \\data\local. Then flash the ROM, and there they are.
PS. I am using CWM recovery 4.0.1.4

If your s_off you can change them while the roms running. Infact if they are in data/local, you can change them even if you aren't s_off. Then just turn the phone off and back on.
So i got helped in other board:
- the bootanimation.zip dont be compressed, the downanimation can be compressed
if i change this the bootanimation is showing

You cant unless the rom supports it and juggernaut does not support it. I believe you can with beastmod rom.

Bootanimation.zip caused bootloop

Hi Guys, I've stuffed up my LG G3 with a boot animation for a phone with the same resolution. I replaced the stock boot image (hidden in data/) and rebooted, the animation plays great! over and over and over. The original bootanimation zip is still in that folder as bootanimation.zip.orig.
Is there any way of fixing this without reflashing? I'm currently using an Optus/Virgin Mobile branded LG G3.
Flash using normal flash not CSE. Should hopefully fix it. Don't replace boot image. If you want to change the boot animation you just need to replace the bootanimation.zip with the one you want.

Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply, can you elaborate on what you mean by "Normal flash"? As for the boot animation, dont worry, if I can recover my phone I wont be doing any tinkering again without fully understanding what I'm doing lol.
I'd also like to point out that I stupidly, didnt install a custom recovery before doing this. any help would be appreciated.
Using LG flash Tool, select the KDZ file you want to flash then select normal flash as in the picture.
Hope this helps.
Thank you, I will try that tonight.
Nah, didnt work. It cant even register that my phone is connected to the PC. even in download mode
