This is an early build, developed blind by having a tester run it and give feedback, since i have no device to test this on, this kernel is not (yet?) supported by my app, so if you own it, refrain from using it for now.
If you don't have wifi, edit your build.prop, change secure storage from true to false and you will have wifi.
i will update this as i have time for it.
Yes, there is a lot that can be done still, but doing it remotely, things take time

Yes I agree, there is really no need for the Snapdragon 800 CPU to be clocked this high. 2.5 - 2.7 is more than enough. Anything else is just overkill I would rather just see some optimizations.
Nice, glad it's here and you took the time to get started without actually having the device ...

I would like to know if it's possible to overclock without running a custom rom and just running a rooted EH06 stock. I used roms b4 but now I just want to stick to the stock Touchwiz. I happen to like their feeds n updates a lot and a few other stuff. Plus might be handing my Epic down for the gs2 wen it arrives. So is it possible?

This oc app really made my phone unstable, and it ran hot and killed batteries. Though, it could have been a combination of things tthat I did. I would not recommend it. But, good luck!
I didn't try the kernel. I just found it odd that a kernel was available through the market, so I stayed away from it.

Cool. Fun, new question because I bit the bullet and flashed v3 anyway:
Why is every setting I choose an invalid choice except for the ondemand profile? It's the only setting that doesn't error out.

this is applicable to nexus's. i think for you to see a difference the phone has to be bogged down from weeks of use. in other words, it actually has to be running slowly for you to see a difference

Since I've posted first reply Tapatalk started slowing down.
Indeed. I looks like this app it's deleting some garbage (or whatever) and this speed up phone for a while.
Very similar to clean instalation of rom + whipping data, cache, and dalvik
I did a storage benchmark before and after running this, no real improvement.
Might be notifiable if you get performance issues after copying a lot of files or when storage is low.
Tegra isn't known for its great storage controller so that's probs why it helps on n7 a lot more.
Edit: this is running a trim tool, just Google trim if you want to know more
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
From the LagFix app description:
"It is also advised to reboot your device after the TRIM process so that kernel could reinitialize block data."
I don't believe this is true. See this:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=278532
"So ext4 KEEPs the trim info between fstrim calls, while btrfs does not.
Neither can keep the keep the info between mounts or boots. "
So I don't understand why you would reboot after fstrim is run. And you can just extract fstrim from the APK and run it manually. And then reboot your device and see that again the same amount of blocks are trimmed. So whether this has any performance increase I can't say but rebooting would negate any performance increase.
Also I ran fstrim -v /cache and fstrim -v /data manually and ran androbench without rebooting before and after running fstrim. And didn't notice any significant performance increase in write speed.

Seeder wrecked my battery life hard core so watch out people. I posted in that original thread a few months ago whenever it came out and the developer responded to me saying that our phones already have this tweak enabled. Because of that when you install seeder on the 747 conflicts happen. I'm not a dev so sorry if that is too basic of a explanation.
Essentially. Proceed with caution. My battery life dropped from 1 day to 4 hours after installing this.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I'm using CrossBreeder instead of Seeder, and my battery life has not taken a hit with it. Search for it here on XDA.
So I did a little research for this app
And dig deep and its a placebo.
It honestly just stops the CPU from sleeping. Nothing else......
This will drain your battery and screw things up if you're running any governors on a modified kernel.
Our devices are clocked at 1.5Ghz with 2gb of RAM.
if you're experiencing lag something is wrong and you don't need these kind of apps.

Whompasaurus + persius + crossbreeder mod + force gpu rendering and set transitions at 0.5 sec (both under developer settings). No where. These threads are not allowed. I have seen them get pretty nasty before. Try them out and find what you like. These devs put tremendous amounts of time to put these out. At least use just a little bit of your time to read the different op's and flash them yourself. Goodluck.
