[Q] My SD load, even with charge only

Hey,
I'm having quite an odd problem! Every time I connect my phone to a computer with USB, for charging only, it loads the SD-card. I can't seem to connect without loading, and when It's done loading, I have to manually press charge only, for unloading the SD..
Does anyone have or solution or have the same problem?
I'm using a rooted stock froyo 2,2, with s-off

[Q] Help! All phone memory disappeared.

Hi guys, a few days ago I transferred all my music onto my new One X from my laptop manually, in USB storage mode (can't remember the exact name but it wasn't using HTC Sync) and that was fine, I turned off my laptop and for the next day and a half I had no problems listening to music etc.
I think at some point I connected my phone again, just to charge, and chose the "charge only" setting. Then yesterday I tried to access my music and I got the error message "Your content is unavailable because your phone is being used as USB storage. Disconnect USB to access your content." I went back into "connect to PC" but the default connection was set to "charge only". I cannot access notes, as it tells me "please insert an SD card" and when I try to view my photos I get "SD card unmounted". Obviously there is no SD card/slot so it seems like my phone's internal memory has vanished. I haven't lost any apps, but when I go to Settings -> storage, my total space is 2.11GB with 1.77GB available.
I tried using HTC Sync instead but the program tells me "You have connected a device with no storage card." I don't know what to do!

Disconnect phone from pc. Set USB connection to charge only before disconnecting. Go to menu storage. Under phone storage see if it is detected. If not reboot your phone.

had this happen a couple of days back. My phone started to lag to the point it was unusable (slower than the G1).
When i went to play a movie or audiobook it said the card wasnt mounted. I ended up factory resetting the machine and after that its been fine (so far).
Like you i could only get the charge only symbol on the phone when connected.
Im pretty sure it was a software bug as a factory reset solved the problem and i didnt lose any data (such as music and movies etc). i had to re download all my apps, i miss titanium back up lol.

Thanks for the replies. I already had my phone set to charge only when I disconnected it, and it is still set to this. I tried rebooting but when I go to storage it still says 2.11GB, and under phone memory - "unavailable".
Yeah I have that too, when I plug in my phone now I don't have the option to use it as a USB storage device, I only have charge only or the 3 ones listed underneath. Is doing a factory reset the only option?

If you hold the power button down for 10 seconds it`s the equivalent of a battery pull.

Hold power button for 10sec, the phone should reboot and it should be solved, as people posted before

Anyone having problems connecting N5X to Macbook via USB

Bought the 'official' usb to usb3 lead from the Play store. When I tried connecting to my Macbook Pro the Android File Transfer can't find the Nexus. I thought it might be the USB Debugging needs enabling so I did that. Nope. Maybe the Android File Transfer needed updating so updated it. No joy. I'm a bit lost now, can anyone shed any light on my problem?

Mine would say something about the screen being locked even though it wasn't.. When you plug it in, pull down the notification drawer and tap the Choose More USB Options, or whatever it says. Make sure File Transfer is selected and try again.. took mine a few times of switching between FTP and Charging but it works with my Mac now

Ok, thanks, I'll try switching between MTP and charging a few times like that.

I have no trouble. Have a 2012 MBP using El Capitan.

More thanks. I had to switch it between charging and MTP 5 times to get it but it worked in the end.

Is there any way to making the MTP setting sticky for trusted devices? When you connect with usb debugging, it asks you to verify and save the device. If something like that was possible with this setting, you could have the security of not auto enabling when charging from random devices but the convenience when connected to your own remembered computer.

Copying to SDcard stops when phone enters sleep?

Anyone noticed if you sending over say music and just leave the phone to turn display off and enter sleep, the copying stops responding. but if you keep the device awake the file transfer finishes fine? Do I have something killing the process when screen off?

Not entirely sure but could be doze doing it. What app are you using to copy?

Using Windows 10 pc connected by USB to phone. I think I found the issue, it might be my front USB 3.0 ports.
I connected at the back to Intel USB 3.0 ports and it didn't crash. Will test more tomorrow.

Can confirm it was issue with my USB Port.

N5X won't turn on, no sign of life

So yesterday I installed PixelROM, after bein on PureNexus for like ages. Nothing special, just the ROM installed.
I tried going into recovery mode and the phone restarted, then turned off, and now it won't turn back on.
Tried holding every possible combination, tried plugging into AC and USB. I don't know what to do, it's not recognized on the computer, no sign of life is shown.
What should I do.

Sounds as if you've run into the hardware issue that so many are experiencing. I'm sorry. Google and LG are now repairing phones or sending replacements for free.
