Would I be able to get an unlocked EVO Design 4G to work with AT&T? To do this with my Droid 3 all I had to do was unlock it then flash a new radio image. Is it the same with this phone? Has anyone done it?
Sorry if this the wrong area, but I didn't see a section for the EVO Design.

Hello Everyone. I have been searching the forums for an answer to my problem but haven't found any info.
I recently purchased a Desire 4G online with out realizing that there was no AT&T 4G coverage in my area. I also made a poor assumption that this phone would be backwards compatible to my current 3G service.
My question: Is this phone backwards compatible and I just don't know the proper settings or do I just stick it in a drawer and wait for AT&T to role out 4g in my area sometime in the fall. ( so they are saying )
I would appreciate any help
Thanx
Do you mean an Inspire 4G? There isn't a Desire 4G
Absolutely right Inspire 4G. My mistake sorry. I also realize that I posted this in the wron forum. It should have went in Q&A. If someone could move there I would appreciate it.
Shouldn't even be in the Desire forum - needs moving to the Inspire one

I would go for the amaze 4g. Slider phones always seem to have problems with the flex cable inside, and an all touch phone obviously would not have that sort of problem. All touch phones also seem to have better/more variety of cases. Plus the amaze 4g has a qhd screen rather than a lower resolution wvga. For me though, im actually considering the galaxy s II instead of the amaze 4g for my upgrade, but both are good phones.
Thanks for the input.
And due to tmo not letting me upgrade yet, anyone selling a mt3gs?
All I can say is that I upgraded from the Slide to the Amaze and I love this phone.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I didn't know if anyone knew if you could take a Sprint branded EVO Design 4G phone and put it on Boost Mobile. I wasn't sure if they had some database of what ESN's are Sprint EVO Design's and what are Boost Mobile EVO Design's.. does anyone know? If so, if the Sprint EVO Design has a bad ESN on Sprint, would they activate it?
Yes interested in this as well.
I have an evo 4G and was wondering if you can just call boost when your term is over.
Would love to save the hassle of 'donor' phones and related processes.
message me for detaill i know he can do mostly any sprint phone
im currently running gs2 epic on boostmobile i can even say i get better 3g loll
also w 4g
I tried to call boost mobile customer care and activate an EVO 4g(not the design 4g) and all 4 times the took the DEC then told me that they are aware that people want to activate sprint phones on the boost network but an not compatible. (which isnt true) I told them that it was the new EVO design 4g and one time i told them it was a sprint branded phone evo.

I am also interested in how to get sprint evo to boost mobile.

No, I don't think you can use any Design, it has to be from Boost.

Hello again,
So I am returning the Droid bionic that I posted about last night. So I know own a sprint 4g evo. The Guy i bought it from said it was flashed to Metro pcs. Which is was it say's metropcs on the lock screen. Now my only issue is getting the data to work. he said that he had everything working on it when he was on metro pcs.
So any way of getting data working for the htc evo 4g sprint, for metro pcs.
I saw a few postings for iphone, But i wasn't able to find a thread in regards to the iphone4 on the att&t gophone prepaid. Anyone can refer me to that area, and i'll post my questions in there.
With Sprint dropping over 60,000 customers from WiMax in November who have phones using it such as the Epic 4G touch, Is it possible to do a custom ROM that will allow the Epic 4G Touch to work on the newer Spark network/4G LTE, or do I use my Epic for a paperweight.
The Epic will continue to work on 3G but Id rather buy a new phone than go backwards with speed.
Anyone have a solution? :crying:
thanks

No. LTE/Sprint Spark requires new hardware. As you stated it will still work on 2G and 3G.
And this is not the Epic 4G Touch sub-forum. This is the Epic 4G sub-forum.
I'm leaning toward a 2015 Moto G CDMA, Moto X Pure Edition, or 2015 Nexus 5. I'll just keep my Epic 4G as a backup probably.
Some news:
Sprint is planning on providing replacement phones to long standing customers at no fee sometime in September that will work on the 4g LTE network. If they keep their word, then nothing lost and maybe a lot to gain with a better phone even if it will most likely be refurbished.
So where do you think they will come up with over 50,000 phones for the customers that had WiMax only devices?
Could be worse.....they could offer us a rotary dial phone.
At least wimax will become spark in that area where it was
?
