So I am returning the Droid bionic that I posted about last night. So I know own a sprint 4g evo. The Guy i bought it from said it was flashed to Metro pcs. Which is was it say's metropcs on the lock screen. Now my only issue is getting the data to work. he said that he had everything working on it when he was on metro pcs.
So any way of getting data working for the htc evo 4g sprint, for metro pcs.
I saw a few postings for iphone, But i wasn't able to find a thread in regards to the iphone4 on the att&t gophone prepaid. Anyone can refer me to that area, and i'll post my questions in there.

I am interested on purchasing a HTC Evo 4G from ebay to replace my G1. I do have a couple of questions before I jump both feet in it.
(This will be assuming that I get the device unlocked and rooted with CM7RC2 or CM6Stable for Evo4G):
1- Does the Evo 4G even work on the Roger's network in canada? I got 2 years left on my contract.
2- On ebay, phones with "bad esn's" are cheaper. Would a bad esn stop me from using it here on roger's?
3- I am guessing that the sim card from my G1 be used on the Evo4G?

All three questions can be answered at once. The Evo uses the CDMA network, whereas Rogers uses GSM. Simply put, you can't use an Evo on Rogers.

Metro PCS offers a service called "MetroFLASH" my local metro store said they can take my HTC EVO and metroflash it to the metro pcs network.
They than said some things might not work properly. When i search here i cant tell what is the difference between "MetroFLASH" and flashing a evo.

What i am trying to find is info on what happens when metro flashes a sprint htc evo 4g with "MetroFLASH" and is there any thing that i have to do. thanks all.
Basically, a "metroflash" is not a rom flash at all. It is metropcs adding your evo esn to the network (and configuring other items) so it can work on metro.
Flashing an evo os changing its rom (e.g. operating system).
1. You take the sprint evo to metro and let them "metroflash" it. (adding to metropcs)
2. This gives you text and talk. You will not have mms or internet yet until you root the evo and configure it using bloodykiller69's method (there are others but this worked best for me).
Metropcs will NOT flash roms (unless on the d/l).

EXCEPT 4G... i get good 3G internet but when i try to use 4G it tries to connect to sprint. How can i get my phone to use Metro PCS 4G???

I'm pretty new at all this, but it sounds like a PRL issue...you should have a PRL file that includes the Metro 4G.
Metropcs uses LTE 4g and our phones are Wimax 4g, so sorry but no working 4g on your phone,
There is NO WAY you can get 4g to work...but I'm surprised you got mms working...i have been trying to get mine going...
Hi i was looking around and I found out that they are some people who was able to flashed their epic 4g touch to verizon prepaid ,but I cant find the guide or the tutorial for how to do it. Can someone help me and tell me what I need to do to flash my phone to verizon prepaid ,Thank you ,I hope someone help me with this.
You need a donor phone from Verizon.

or just pay 50 buck to a buddy of mine he will do it all you need is a usb a phone a working computer
If you have metroPCS service in your town, you can also flash it to metro- text, talk, mms, web, gps all for $40 a month. I also think you can for cricket as well. Both are pre-paid carriers- no need for a donor phone.

Hi I flashed my Epic 4G touch to Verizon prepaid but It keeps saying roaming whats up with that everything Is working perfect but it says roaming witch probably is not a good thing??
I was considering flashing my Epic to Metro since my contract is up with Sprint and was wondering if it still works? I called Metro and they said that the phone would be removed from the network within a few months. Is there any truth to this? My second questions is can I run CM9 on Metro? Thank you.
My buddy got a samsung Fascinate flashed to metro, I hear it was sorta similar to the epic. I also hear that CM9 worked out for Metro flashed phones.
