How do we enter stock recovery to do a factory reset on the LG OG Pro?
I want to flash a stock ROM and do a reset, but I prefer to not do it inside the ROM.

If I remember correctly, it's volume up, home and power all at the same time.

Hey guys,
I managed to soft brick my device by flashing all sorts of crap today.
I am able to get into download mode and Odin recognizes the phone. I have been trying to get my hands on the stock factory ROM in Odin flashable format but haven't had any luck. All the links I have found around here are either broken or are taking so long they are timing out.
If anyone has a working link to the stock ROM that I can flash through Odin I would be very grateful.
Thanks!
Do you have stock recovery? I had same problem before lol.
I will try to seaech my old thread.

No, I was on TWRP Recovery. I flashed from CM10 to the new JB Touchwiz leak after performing a full wipe, which went fine. but then i decided to flash the nav bar mod and a theme just to see how far I could push it. Clearly the limit was hit.
Thanks for this. Flashing now.
Strange, after flashing the stock boot image in Odin (which went successfully) I cannot seem to get the phone to boot past the Samsung logo. I also can't boot into recovery (volume up + volume down + power) is not working.
Any ideas?

Boot into recovery (you're doing it wrong) and do a factory reset
Volume up + Home button + power until the screen comes on, then quickly release and you'll be in recovery. Then factory reset, you'll be good to go

If you still want stock:
Download T999UVALH2: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=SGH-T999&pcode=TMB&os=1&type=1#firmware
Flash it through Odin.

The fact that it's booting is a good sign. Can you flash a custom recovery?

thanks for your resonse
I soft bricked my SGH-I747 on 4.4.2 and I couldn't find a solution anywhere. If anyone could help me out by either linking me somewhere or providing detailed instructions on how to fix this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
how to unbrick
If your phone is softbricked, the recovery will still most likely be working. While the phone is off, hold power, volume up and home button to go to recovery. From there wipe system data and cache, and restore your latest backup.

I can't enter recovery; I'm stuck in odin mode so I guess I'm not soft bricked? I'm not sure
If you are stuck in download mode, try holding the power button until it turns off, then try going to recovery. If that doesnt work, just flash a stock image for the i747 and start from square one.
You could flash a custom recovery such as Philz Touch via Odin, boot into recovery, and flash a custom ROM.

That's where I'm stuck. I don't know what stock image to use/can't find one that works
There isnt one for 4.4.2. Youll have to flash a custom recovery with odin and then a rom from recovery. If you want stock 4.4.2, enewman17 has it in the development section. Doing this will void your warranty if you still have one.

Stock ROM, was rooted, and power button didn't lock the phone so I thought resting my phone would fix it; Now it tries to enter recovery mode everytime I turn on the phone and I cannot exit and it shows the android lying with the blue stuff for a split second but doesn't show me recovery options;(

Ok, did you do a backup of your phone after installing a recovery? Can you get into recovery my powering off your phone, pull the battery and wait 30 seconds, replace the battery and boot into recovery (hold down volume +, home button and power)? And, now/what did you do to "reset" the phone? Let's start there.

What phone/model do you have. This is the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 forum, you do realize that , right? A Verizon retail version of the Note 4 cannot be rooted by the method you stated as to how you rooted your phone.

If you don't have a Dev. Edition I suggest you use Keis to flash your firmware. If you could get into recovery I think clearing cache and delvek would fix your bootloop.
Personally , I'd Odin back to stock. You can find the right files in the sprint section

Yep, I agree with ^^^ since you can get into Unlock Mode. That is probably less of a hassle than dealing with Kies.
Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before, I purchased the Lenovo P2 4/64GB (P2C72) from Gearbest as Three UK doesn't stock it anymore, the phone comes with P2a42_S048_161111_ROW firmware and I would like to update it to Nougat which I know I can do it via OTA but I prefer to clean flash via fastboot in case Gearbest has added spyware/malware to the firmware.
Do I just need to download the S244 fastboot file from the link below and follow OP's instructions to flash it? Do I need to wipe anything after the fastboot flash or I can just boot straight into the system?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/development/fastboot-files-stock-firmware-t3649914
Thanks
Its a good idea to install via a fresh install and u can follow the instructions in that post but i think OTA update would work just as well. There is hardly any bloatware on this phones stock roms and you could save yourself some time. Just do a factory reset after updating.

By factory reset, do you mean in the phone settings or in recovery?
It didn't matter either one but maybe in recovery might be better.

In recovery, do I wipe data, cache and format data?
I think data and cache only don't format data.

When I press Power + Volume up, it doesn't boot to Recovery and go straight to system?
i think you have to hold all 3 buttons together untill you feel a vibration then let go and it boots to recovery.
