[Q] [HELP] Stuck on bootloop! Cannot enter recovery and download mode... - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Stock ROM, was rooted, and power button didn't lock the phone so I thought resting my phone would fix it; Now it tries to enter recovery mode everytime I turn on the phone and I cannot exit and it shows the android lying with the blue stuff for a split second but doesn't show me recovery options;(

Ok, did you do a backup of your phone after installing a recovery? Can you get into recovery my powering off your phone, pull the battery and wait 30 seconds, replace the battery and boot into recovery (hold down volume +, home button and power)? And, now/what did you do to "reset" the phone? Let's start there.

What phone/model do you have. This is the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 forum, you do realize that , right? A Verizon retail version of the Note 4 cannot be rooted by the method you stated as to how you rooted your phone.

No ones helping me in the sprint forum do is there a chance that you can still help me?

If you don't have a Dev. Edition I suggest you use Keis to flash your firmware. If you could get into recovery I think clearing cache and delvek would fix your bootloop.

Personally , I'd Odin back to stock. You can find the right files in the sprint section

Yep, I agree with ^^^ since you can get into Unlock Mode. That is probably less of a hassle than dealing with Kies.

[Q] Question - Recovery Mode without WCM

I just re-lock the bootloader and i removed the root using nextoolkit.
and before that, i didnt put CWM in my nexus.
anyway, i was looking at fastboot mode, and tried to enter de recovery mode without CWM... when i did so, it just apeared a kind of "android error" with a exclamtion mark. the buttons were freezed and i couldnt do anything. so i waited 5 minutes and it did a automatically reboot
-why my recovery mode showed this "android error"?
-what purpose of a recovery mode without CWM?
-recovery mode only works on root devices?
-did i do anything that can cause me problems by entering the recovery mode and waiting those 5 minutes?
Thank you
The Android with the exclamation mark is the stock recovery.
Stock recovery is useful, but not quite as useful as CWM or TWRP because it doesn't let you flash ROMs or mods, etc.. Stock still lets you do a factory data reset and a few other things.
Recovery works on stock devices (necessarily), but you need to be unlocked to flash a custom recovery and use those advanced features that the custom recoveries offer.

You should be able to navigate the couple options with the volume keys and power button. Its likely its working just fine and you didn't know how to work it.

That's the stock recovery screen.
Also, this is the Galaxy Nexus forum. You should post and keep posting in the Nexus S forum. And don't cross post...
Hold volume up and hit power you will see the options.

i have a galaxy NEXUS, but the image i found was nexus S (but the problem is the same)
i found this in another forum, and every body sad it works:
"1. flash that through fastboot, that is the cwm for lte
2. reboot phone, then find the file named /system/recovery-from-boot.p and either rename it to '1recovery-from-boot.p' without the quotes or delete it, (i renamed it)
3. reboot into fastboot mode and then chose recovery, you can then make backups or whatever with out the dead android guy with the red triangle containing the exclamation
i didnt make this up just followed the directions in the above mentioned thread good luck !!!!"
I found the "recovery-from-boot.p" but i couldnt delete it because is in system folder? only with root acces its possible to delete it?

Hey
I have a Samusung Galaxy SIII I747M. My phone randomly rebooted last night. And then wouldn't go past the flashing samsung at the end of the boot. I have tried to enter recovery mode. The little blue title comes up, and then it continues to the same problem. IN download mode I'm not sure how to flash or enter recovery. Hopefully someone can help me

[Q] Note 2 Stuck in boot loop [No Root/Custom Anything]

Had my note 2 for several months now on Wind Mobile. I woke up this morning and it was working fine, went out for a walk and 5 minutes into the walk my phone was stuck in the boot loop. I never flashed or rooted my phone. Its stuck where the samsung logo comes up and the blue and purple halo circles it. I have access to both the volume up+home button+power button menu, aswell and the volume down menu. I already cleared the system cache and was wondering what to do?
If possible i would like to be able to extract my data before doing a factory reset. Any help would be great!
It doesnt seem that wiping data will fix your problem it looks like system corruption try flashing new software

u need to flash stock then chainfire auto root
check if its entering recovery now then proceed with adb hopefully u have efs backup .tar file safe in pc or anywhere ,search google how to set adb

would say just recover it to stock, as long as you can get to recovery, download mode, its an easy fix just patience let me know if you need help with going back to stock then you can just re root it, mine has problems when i try the rooting system from odin, the coloration is off and flickers, blue green and red, its pretty anoying tho its rooted and everything works the flickering doesn't stop so i fixed it with kies, and back to stock, i retested the root again but still no vice, so just went back to stock again.

sorry dude i was busy with work i didnt have time to get back here to read it, download kies for samsung galaxy, i have the same one as yours, and ours is the pain in the bottom one to get it to work correctly, it is a hit or miss, http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/ download windows version then follow this method, http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00048586/52928, then it will get you back to basic then just redo what you did to root it in xda forums general thats all
