if you talking about the touch pro there is no need to root, you have root access.

Yea, we may need more than this. What are you trying to do? If you're running XDAndroid, it is already rooted as hamagc pointed out...

Disable boot start? What does that even mean?
ya i'm still not catching you either. autostarts.apk is an app that will let you run selectable apps at boot (google). i see no reason this wouldn't work. is that what you are trying to do?
there is no boot start to disable on our devices.
For example, some worthless, I want to disable the boot
Ok... that's interesting. I don't think root access is your issue, it's probably something else... I just don't know what.
He's trying to keep certain programs from starting when Android boots up, I believe.

[REQ]Dump of the preinstalled rom

With the release of the kernel sources, it seems that the 3 AndroidOne devices all share the same kernel and internals,
with only the rom branding and chassis they're in being different.
If this is the case, then the roms themselves are built by goog and thusly OTAs handled directly by them.
What it also implies is that the 3 devices might be able to share roms and kernels as they already appear to share kernel sources.
What I need:
Dump of /system
If the rom prompted for an OTA at initial setup
Dump of /oem
Bootloader version
Baseband version
I am expected to get my handset on Saturday. I will try to adb pull ASAP and post.
I want the recovery.img
Sent from my GT-I9082 using Tapatalk
I'm also interested to port it to my bq aquaris e5
You don't have any OTA updates out of the box for now- the baseband version is WR8.W1412.MD.WG.GMP.SP.W14.26.P3, 2014/08/16 11:39
I have yet to get the system etc. dumps, will try to do it over the weekend.
Hi all) Make please dump or backup in CWM recovery and lay out it here.
hey cant we use MTKDroid tools for system dump as it works for other mt6582 devices

My phone has 2gb ram instead of 3?

How.come my phone has 2gb ram....and not 3?
BTW my phone is no clone
Lg h811 tmobile original
You should return it, that's not right...
afaik, there is no LG G4 H81X variant with 2GB ram, return that thing back.
u are sure that you are not referring to the "used ram" ? make a screenshot of the settings entry

The g4 has 3 GB of RAM. Yours not. So it seems you have not a "normal" g4 sorry.
I mean you could try to reinstall stock and see if it still showing 2 GB in cpuZ but that's very likely the case. I mean that would mean the installed ROM screwed up the correct display of the RAM and that would be very very odd (not impossible though)... Give it a try and if it still showing 2 GB make an exchange as fast as you can..

You should return the phone to the place of purchase. The only problem is that you rooted your device, meaning you have no warranty. They will probably reject your return for modifying the product. Try to find a method of locking your bootloader (I assume you have it unlocked) and flash the official stock firmware. Also make sure you dont have anything that suggests the phone was once rooted like folders or files (although that should get removed when flashing the stock firmware).
Bring it back to the retailer and pray to God you get accepted
Even your storage is low, as far as I know all G4 have 32gb internal storage.
Going to try stock
Tried stock. Had a backup
Same thing
Should I try flashing the image instead with lg bridge? Or am I wasting my time
Lg suggests it is a hardware problem (confirmed serial numbers as original)

Mate se boot screen on honor 7x usa is this possible??

Can this be done ?? If so how
What kind of question is this? I do not think there is a way to get a boot screen from another device unless you have the phone rooted, and then somehow get the boot animation from a Mate SE, and then replace the default boot animation with the Mate SE one.

I did not change it on mine, but just located to bootanimation.zip
it is in /version/special_cust/BND-L24/hw/usa/media/bootanimation.zip on the L24
each region/ model will have different path.
there is also a second animation located in
\version\region_comm\oversea\media
don't know when it is used . On mine, the one in the hw folder has "wwwhi.honor.us.com " on the bottom of all the images, and that matches the animation being used. The other one has larger images and no addresses on the images.
I'm also interested in this, since I already replaced my boot animation with one that has a dark background from here. The Mate SE logo screen is just the simple HUAWEI logo on a black background, which is less visually jarring (especially with the warning screen that's displayed after the bootloader is unlocked).
I understand that the boot logo on Huawei devices is stored in oeminfo.img, but I haven't figured out how to unpack/repack it for the hi6250 devices.

SDCARD BOOT? help me understand....

Hey guys, so i own a galaxy s20+ SM-G986U BL LOCKED and i was curious, if we can tell the hardware to boot from sdcard couldnt we burn an image with root to the sdcard and just not use the eMMc memory on the board??

Wow very good question, honestly it doesn´t sound to easy.
That would be wonderful if possible, and then use the eMMC as SWAP.
Yeah, that'd be ideal! I already took apart an A21 SM-S205DL and am researching to see if there's any similar chipset this has been achieved on..

That's amazing! Heck yes. I was thinking about this for my Sprint Galaxy S3... so not quite on the same level, haha.
Most of my devices are elderly ones I want to breathe fresh life into!

Yeah I'll bet there a switch on the motherboards. From my research this has already been exploited in the past on even newer models than the S3, you should look further into it, let us know what you find!

what files do you think i would need? firmware stuff?? binary data?? im really new to development at all, im going to school but id really like to hack this one...
also, do you think id have to get my hands on some firsthand knowledge? like how the motherboards are put together, which pins to reroute??
nope sorry, it is just A theory, i will try ask mods about this
So I haven't been able to find much relative documentation on the exynos chipset. Am going to start looking into snapdragon considering my s20 is a snapdragon model. My test subject is a exynos... I took some photos of what I believe may be relative pins and will attach the files on this post. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Sometimes, old methods and exploits will come back into relevance. This could be a Golden opportunity to skirt Samsung's bull**** BL! Concerning my photograph, this is the side of the board opposite the sim/SD card storage. Don't know what the pins are for. Let me know!!
maybe someone can have A file to flash A BIOS-look BL like HTC HD2 had done?

Bookmarked that! Thank you for the link!
These guys were working on devices that already have bl unlocked even before they start to think about booting solely from micro SD. I'm working on a s20 model that's infamous for having a LOCKED bl. My main objective is to modify the motherboard to detect the SD CARD in place of eMMc. I'd like to see one of these have root without any firmware upgrade or flashing NAND, just like having a second SSD for a laptop. Just swap it out.
