New to note 2...s pen help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I just got a used note 2 and from who I got it from he said that the screen was broke and he had replaced it but whenever I try to use the s pen certain areas of the screen the stylus won't write on. Its either not accurate or scribbles to the left or right of where I'm writing at. Since I'm new to the s pen and the note 2 touchscreen I figured I would get on here and ask to see what it could be. I'm thinking maybe the digitizer but I didn't know if its built into the screen replacement or if its built into the the actual LCD panel. Any help or comments are appreciated.

It may be the spen itself.....my first note 2 the spen wasn't working properly either.....search Google for "note 2 spen calibration" there is a button on the pen and under it is two little screw like things that calibrate the pen....If that doesn't work then maybe new spen or might have to get a new phone...sorry

Here's a link for the S-pen calibration!! Hope it helps you.

FYI:
if that's your only problem is the S-pen, then you'll be ok. It's still working right?
Because if everything else works perfect on the device. Then your good to go. Imho

I tried the recalibrating and resetting solutions and it didnt work. I also bought a new s pen and still didnt work and when i tried to recalibrate it there wasnt anything to change like my first one. it just looked like a small circuit board with a button on it and thats all. Im guessing its a problem with the digitizer itself but since it works just fine with my finger ill leave it be for a while. just a shame i cant use the s pen for more precise doodling lol

In your opinion would it be worth switching out the screen & digitizer for a new one? Or just keep using it like this until the screen breaks or whatever.

Same here...I've done a little research and I'm not quite sure which part I need. I see a sensor board replacement that's pretty cheap, a glass/digitizer replacement that's also pretty cheap or all that plus a LCD panel that's crazy expensive. So I guess my question is would u just replace the glass/ digitizer or sensor board or both since my LCD panel seems to be in perfect condition. I don't really wanna tear more into my phone than what I have to ya know?

S pen issue

So whenever I try and use the s pen it sucks. If I hover over anything it acts like i selected it. I just want to know is there a way to disable this. I don't want the s pen to do anything unless I actually touch the screen with it.

I believe that's the Airview feature of the S-Pen which you can disable from the S-Pen option settings.
It's a known problem.
Some people have taken the pen apart. Rather, i just slammed the pen on a hard surface a few times.
Fixed. I'm not joking. Try it. I promise you it will work

Best troubleshooting for your S Pen
Thanks this method worked for me too!!! Gave it two gentle slams on the table and was good to go. LMAO!! I called samsung to report the issue and they had no way of helping me out, I will call them back and have them implement this technique into their troubleshooting steps.
S Pen Issue
Having a problem, wondering if its just me.. When i go to use S Note, the pen is automatically set to the eraser, and if i select the brush mode, its still using the eraser. I can only write if i press and hold the button on the s pen, then bring it close to the screen.. and then its like an etch a sketch where my lines would all be connected.. As soon as I take the s pen away from the screen and go to write again, its back on the eraser! any help would be greatly appreciated..- Matt
That's not how it's supposed to work. Maybe you have a defective device? Either way I would bring it back to T-Mobile to get it checked out. Are you running a custom rom?

Mine was hover selecting too but updated to the latest OTA, still had the issue. So I disabled and re-abled Air View and my problems were fixed. All has been good for a few days.
Yeah, it was working before but now its just all screwy, im waiting for my buddy who also has the Note 2 for tmo to come by im going to try his pen. This way I can figure out if its the pen or the phone. Thank you for letting me know that this isnt how its supposed to work!

Replacing the Glass on the Note II

My father had the glass on his Note II replaced by a local shop. When he got it back, it looked like this. I'm 99.9% sure that this is shoddy work and needs to be re-done, but I was looking for two things:
1) Confirmation that this is not how replaced glass is supposed to look.
2) Suggestions on exactly what it is the repair shop messed up.
Thanks!
Needs to be redone

No problem at all, thanks. My dad knows a lot of people in the area, and this shop is trying to make a name for itself. Worst-case scenario, they'll eventually replace the whole thing for him. I just wanted to know with certainty that replaced glass doesn't look like this.

Pen input pressure

Does your guys pen require more pressure to operate compared to the note 2? On my note 2 I barely had to touch the screen, but the note 3's pen requires much harder pressure before it starts working. I even tested the note 2's pen on the N3's screen and it worked just fine. So it's gotta be the pen. Does anyone else have this experience or is my pen defective?

Mine has this problem too. It was normal when I first got it, but now it requires more pressure to work. I think its normal, so I'm not going to bother exchanging it.
There's an option in settings to increase the sensitivity, see if that helps.

Try replacing the tip. The bag that comes with the device has two types of replacements. Clear and rubberized. Change be tip to a clear one. Worked for me!
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe on the Note 2 you could adjust the sensitivity on the pen itself somehow. I never needed to adjust anything so I'm not sure. I assume the note 3 would be the same way.
Edit: Yeah here's the thread on how to do it.

Please fix the link. I'd like to read it too. When I'm writing with the pen its fine, but if I'm doing something casually like playing Bloon TD 5, I find myself wanting a bit more sensitivity.

Replacing Galaxy 4 rear Camera PART DIFFERENCE

Update- If you are replacing your camera on your Tmobile Galaxy 4 Don't know about the other models make sure to not order the one most ebay sellers tell you is compatible with every model because is not and you will have to end up sending it back...... Double check you are getting the one I posted so you don't waste your time and money!!!!!!
So I dropped my gs4 broke the rear camera well camera is not entirely broken it displays just a white image...... But lets me switch out to front camera without no problem app doesn't fc or anything..... So I went ahead and ordered a replacement camera which said it was compatible with all gs4 devices when I received the camera i saw some difference by the plug but I didn't think it would matter " I ATTACHED SOME PICTURES " Well to make the story short when I connect this camera and try to open the camera app it gives me an error of connection failed or can't connect along those lines..... And makes the camera app close not even letting me switch to front camera or anything..... I tried this a couple of times reconnected my old camera connected just fine camera app worked fine.... connected new camere it just won't connect..... I'm figuring we have to use the version of the camera on the tmobile is different..... Here are some pics comparing them both
I RECEIVED THE TOP CAMERA AS THE REPLACEMENT THE DIFFERENCE IS THE TEXTURE THING BEFORE THE CONNECTOR IS WAY SLIMMER THAN THE TMOBILE ONE.... I BELIEVE SINCE THE OTHER ONE IS THINNER IS NOT MAKING ANY CONNECTION TO THE BOARD..... THE BUTTOM ONE IS THE ORIGINAL AND A PICTURE I FOUND OF A TEAR DOWN OF A TMOBILE GALAXY 4
Any1 ever had to replace their camera ?????

Yea I tried a bunch of times today it won't work even pushing the little connector piece down it still fails u could tell is the wrong camera since the connector that goes to the board literally stays in the air u have to push it down making the other plug almost pop out to touch the board but it won't work

Hope, it helps because many sellers on ebay keep saying that all S4 cameras the same which is not!

I bought an LG G2 coming Monday, and if it works out I can part out my SGH-i317. Capactive touch buttons, ribbon cables, etc. I even have the full AMOLED+Digitizer albeit with a few minor scratches (better than paying $200 I think).
