Those spikes seem to happen to a lot of these things.
With the first pic, what are you doing during those times of excess battery use? Are you using the device at all?

Those upward curves looks like you would have been on USB and it would have charged a bit!
Quick question regarding those pics. If I check the battery stats on my Galaxy S 3 it shows when it is active, but on my Nexus 10 and 7 the "awake" bar is always empty.

I only charge once to 100% and let it go to 0.. Never put it into Usb. only when it aprox 10%... so that cant be it.

This happens with a lot of devices, as said above, you shouldn't have to worry about it though. Possibly try re-calibrating your battery, for some people this supposedly helps and you never know. I'd recommend the app "Battery Dr. Saver" for some help with this here's the URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.lepeng.batterydoctor&hl=en

Ive noticed a couple of things.
Once the battery has reached 100% on charger it starts to go down again... Now im not sure if this is because the battery is still new or not but its very odd behaviour.
Ive tried leaving it on charge for a while and once it went up to 100% it started to go down till it reached 97%
I did (By Accident) fail to charge the battery fully the first time so im worried this may have caused the issue
2nd Issue that ive noticed is when using face unlock there is a few seconds delay from when the lockscreen comes up and when the camera actually switches on. Im sure that in all the videos everywhere that it's almost instant.
Anyone else notice these things or is mine playing up?
The battery thing is on purpose I have an EVO 3d and a vivid and the go down to 95 and back to 100...

The battery thing is intentional. It is actually recommended not to leave charged phone on charger. Once it is fully charged, it 'stops charging' for a short while for that reason.

It depends what you mean by instant, but I wouldn't say its as long as a few seconds, maybe 1/2 a second for the camera to display then another 1/2 to 1 second to unlock from there.

It is very likely that they did (at least more recent phones) and you didn't know about it. The 'charged' icon could have easily stayed there until phone is unplugged.
Guys if you have it already could compare Sound quality with iphone or galaxy s phones with wolfson DAC's. How does the music player sound( i come from galaxy s2 with yamaha chip). I want buy this if the music player sounds good.
my epic 4g touch was on the cyanogenmod 10.1 wild for the night rom v. jan23v2. every time, if my phone were off a charger for 5-10 minutes the screen would flash to different brightness levels then turn off. it would do this every time since that rom. in order to fix the issue, i tried using sfhub's el29 root to go back to stock to try flashing the same updated rom. i was on el29 rooted and the issue still occured. i would have to plug it in for it to turn on again. is this a battery issue or is it something else? my battery is over a year old. any help would be appreciated. if you need more info, just ask

Amazon will have OEM batteries. Be careful though, some will label them like OEM but they are fake. You will probably be able to get a new one from Sprint or Samsung, though.

I've had good luck with cheap eBay ones for $3-$5. (~$10 for 2 + external charger, shipped from China)
Originally bought a cheap 1800mAh for my Epic, but kept it around and am using in my E4GT (when the orinal battery "puffed" and wouldn't hold much of a charge) Recently added a "2200mAh" one and external charger. It's a tiny bit thicker than my 1800, but still fits under the stock cover. I havent noticed the "2200" giving any better battery life than the "1800" - both work well and I've had no problems.
This issue is happening to me too but seems to occur when I'm downloading something like an MMS or app, or even an image intensive webpage. The screen flashes to different brightness levels and then the battery would suddenly "drain" to zero, where the software tells me it's at zero, but with a little extra charge and a reboot, the power level will be where it was before shutting down.
And none of this occurs while plugged in so I'm reasonably sure it's an old battery, I'd just like some confirmation. What gave it away though? The flashing screen thing had preceded a loss of signal so at first (and for about a week or so) I thought that was what it was until I found this thread.

Thanks.
When I went to get a new battery, the guy pulled the battery out and spun it on the counter. If it spins, it's expanded, and indicative of being on its last leg or already dead. Of course, you could also palpate the battery and you will feel the bulge but the spin test is simpler, definitive, and more entertaining. Just posting in case someone else runs into this problem or a similar battery problem and come across this thread - try the battery spin test.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and for some reason, the battery is draining fast at times and I have no clue why. Could it be a software issue? Lockscreen Issue? Whenever I have my phone hooked up and charging, sometimes it profusely keeps charging then stops charging and vibrating thousands of times. I'm thinking about doing a factory reset, any app that can backup all of my data to an SD card?
The only apps I'm using are facebook, chomp sms, magiclocker(theme), music, simple notepad, juice defender, kik, and magicjack.
This started happeneing about 3 days ago and its frustrating me when my phones dead and I have to call someone.
Please help,
Thanks
Just turned it off and back on, battery was at 50% now its at 25%...

Its an SPH-D710, I havent modified the phone at all.
Thing is, everytime I hook up the charger to it, and it keeps charging on and off on and off on and off. It gets irritating and makes me want to throw this thing at the wall. Could it be the charging port?

Yes. This. I've asked mods to move it seeing as nobody else did.
You also mentioned that your battery is losing charge quickly, pull it out and try spinning it on a flat surface.
If it spins, then the battery may be going bad. There are a few options at this point, but I'd recommend ordering a new battery that has a larger capacity. There are several available on both Amazon and eBay.
I purchased a 3800 mAh battery with back plate for less than twenty bucks and my phone now lasts all day with heavy use. On top of that, I don't have to charge it as often, so there is less risk to my charging port.
Good luck!

Hi,
I have an S4 I9500 since a little more than three months. Only, for one week, it has started to start again and I find myself with a battery with 0%. Sometimes, it starts again and remains blocked on the logo of starting and dies out afterwards considering this “phenomenon” empties the battery at a stretch (moreover I wonder whether it is not a problem of battery). the beug arrives approximately twice a day whereas I surf on Internet or by writing a sms. I reset the telephone yesterday, but without success.
It discharged at a stretch this evening, I reloaded it, and there, fifteen minutes after, while writing a message on facebook, it was to 97%, it started again 69% then died out and I relit it (I had to remove the battery cause it freezed on the logo) to 47%, it started again to 47%, and two min after started again to 0%. It is sooo frustrating.
In the same way, and I do not know if it's linked, but I notice that my battery is emptied more (much more) quickly, at sight of eye.
Now I am on holidays, therefore when it beug, hop I connects it and I wait until it's fully charged, but I hope i could find a solution before the end of my vacancies.
Thank you very much.

Thank you for your answer. Now that you mensionned it, i've just noticed a slight bump on my battery, but frankly i've never paid attention before. And to be honest, I sincerly hope that is just a battery problem and changing it will fix the problem.
I don't want to be silly but i'd like to understand if the bump is the problem what might have caused it? Can it just happen? The protection case might be the problem? I use a Muvit Case Slim valve for Samsung Galaxy S4 (with magnet)
Thank you

i dont know what caused it but i compared the broken battery to the new one and there was a big difference, the battery cover was being pushed out on the mytouch
Could just be a defective battery from manufacturing process. Something is causing it to overheat and expand.

Hi guys,
So, I went to the store today, the guy told me that it was a battery problem, there was a bump on it, he said that it was due to an overcharge. I found that bizarre, considering that on forums they advise to charge the battery for 12h the first use.
Thank's for your help, and can you tell me how to calibrate my new battery in order to avoid future problems.
Could have been just a bad battery, nothing really that you did, who knows.
And 12 hours? Hm.. sounds a bit extreme, I usually just top my battery off and I'm set. :|
There are some apps in the playstore that will do it.
Such as, Rom Toolbox.
Also, some of the custom roms like Wicked come with the option.

Youre talking about a fast , usb charge mode that increases current drain on a usb source above 500mA.
Wall wart charge can go to 2000mA.
Fast charge option doesnt affect wall charging. Dont see that option in wicked v6.
That wont cause the OP's problem, which is simply a defective battery.

I got my phone 1 month ago. I rooted and flashed rom imidiatly.
I never got to use stock rom for very much so i was wondering if this is normal temperature while light browsing web.
Running CM11 (same thing with CM12/12.1) on powersaver usualy sometimes balanced.
51°C no runing games or anything heavy as i said (App:CPUTemp ).

I think its normal in normal hot weather conditions. Mine is at 47 right now.
In compare to my device (CM11 by Rox) my idle temp is around 20 C and MAX 45 C after few hours of Thr Room gaming. In GPS routing mounted to the front window of my car and 500 km. of direct sunlight + incar temperature Around 30 C the max that I was saw is 54 C. Please, check the others opinions of others S3 Neo owners, because for me, your temps is high enough!

Strange but i remember once i had the same issue on using net through chrome and i had a pouch like this. I did nothing. I turned off my mobile for few minuts and it was just fine. But in low signals i have never used chrome again. If your phone is doing this continually then may be there is a problem. Then try to use mobile without pouch.
Relax sometimes it happens.

From the screenshot attached you can see that batery temperature is much lower.
Looking now i see 50°C CPU and 37°C battery.
Also if you still have the phone could you measure the temperature after 5min of light web browsing?

I think your CPU Temp app is a crap. Take a look at attachments. I took them at the same time. But i am using two different apps. And i am just using UC browser and whatsapp right now.
First try another app. If problem doesn't solve then it might be the signal problems.
