Internal Storage!? - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

Hey all, im wondering how much internal space users have after doing a fresh install of the pac rom (or any AOSP rom) available for the n5110. I have around 9gb after clean install and im wondering if it should be more considering its a 16gb model.. Any idea what's going on there?
Thanks

i had installed app2sd.
i it is useless for me.
i have 64 gb class 10 sandisk card
it says to me there is no real primary source of memory or my memory source is emulated. hence it is unable to move any app to sd card.
really bad.
Thats what I said. It's not there in the current firmware. Do you think we can get this in a future firmware upgrade or it it a Jelly Bean thing?
If you are rooted you can use Directorybind. Not an option if you are not rooted tho
If you are interested in it you can search xda for it.

Best ROM for HTC desire WITHOUT EXT OF SD CARD

Hi guys wondering if anyone knows a good ROM for HTC desire but without needing to ext3/4 my SD card as I only have 2 gb and don't want to be spending money to buy a new one just for a ROM.

Oxygen. It's tiny, plenty of room for apps.

moving hboot is fine if you plan to continue to use your phone that way going forward. My experience is that most of the more recent rom releases start with stock hboot so if you can fit your apps into a standard install of oxygen it will be easier when you get a better SD card. By the way, just bought a class 10 16gb card for less than 10 euro.
Is there any chance I could just partition my SD card by like 500mb for an ics ROM like slim ics?

Partition with 4 ext recovery or gparted, like you have been told in the thread you started on this topic.
What I meant was would 500mb suffice instead of 1 gb? For that ROM?

Save up and buy a bigger sd card. With apps getting bigger and bigger these days you'll need that ext partition eventually.
via xda app
Yea yea I know!!!! I think I will just wait.

with the same method as described in the thread :S lol was just making sure i dont want to screw up my phone..only because it says international s3's...has anyone here done so with success?
thanks again!
Well I heard the link means gotta be on touch wiz right? But I know others who have custom scripts that work so I know it can be done just saying. Might want post in your Rom thread because going come down top your Rom kernel choice

Back to stock rom

Can't be happier. I tried some other custom roms only to be riddled with bugs. And that's not even the biggest reason I went back to stock. Stock just offered so much more. Even something like the MHL doesn't even work on paranoidandroid. So I must say im impressed with what touchwiz has become lately. I wouldn't not even consider using stock for the vibrant I had before. How things have changed.
I'm stock rooted as well just using go launcher instead and can't complain.....

Well, what is the point if this thread? But my bigger question is why would you use an AOSP ROM that will have problems and be missing features and say it isn't as good as stock. I run tweaked. It had all the features I love if stock plus abunch ofextras and zero bugs. Stock based ROMs are for the most part bug free

Try Jedi x12. I been on it for awhile and haven't found any bugs at all. I went back to stock for about a day and didn't like it so back to Jedi. Now over clocked to 1920 mhz, just to try something different.

CleanROM is the best. It's based off of the international version so it's on the latest Samsung official build. It's basically stock with no bloat. I don't know why their isn't a thread in the tmobile section. But I used to be on att note 2 so that's where I learned about the rom, then I switched to a tmobile note 2 and can confirm it works on the tmobile version. It uses aroma installer so all you have to do is pick tmobile is the Carrier prior to install.
If you have a perfectly working stock rom there is no need to muck up your phone with custom roms with parts not working. When I joined XDA and started rooting it was only to get a rom that was better than stock. WIth the N2, there is no point whatsoever in using a custom rom. If you have to give some up to use a custom rom, what's the point. Wifi calling and all SPen features have to work in order for me to even look at a custom rom.

Jedi master 12, persus kernel, and external to internal sd mod with a class 10 64gb sd card make this already beastly phone an unstoppable altered beast! I've got full stock functionality with many added benefits, and had zero issues. I tried a couple roms when I initially rooted my phone, and after trying Jedi master I no longer had any reason to try any more. The Jedi dev, and community are awesome!

I think ima go with this rom.. u had to format ur 64gb card as fat 32 right? Can you file be over 4 gb? Cameras 100%?
I did convert to fat32, but ran exfat for a long time using persus kernel. I converted to fat32 to try the baked in kernel that's included with Jedi master. I ended up liking persus much better tho. Just make sure to do a full wipe, then install the Rom, then perseus kernel, then the external to internal mod. All in that order before rebooting. I use Rom toolbox to backup, and restore all my apps, which saves me a ton of time when updating the Rom, as I have 140 apps installed on my phone, lots of huge Gameloft games too. Everything works on Jedi master, I've yet to notice any bugs, and I'm a heavy phone user.

Install ROM since external storage doesnt exist?HELP!

Aight. All of you know by now that you SD card can't be used to hold apps. When I run CWR I also have the issue of not being able to mount my SD card. Is that because of the way this phone is built or do I just need to format to FAT? If it won't mount will it be safe to save my ROM to regular storage and install that way? And if anyone has a tutorial link to installing Chrygen10?(mispell) ? To this specific phone that would also be awesome. I'm kinda new to the whole ROM deal and I'm new to LG phones and thus far its taken some adjusting going from Nexus and Galaxy phones to this OGP. Thanks in advance for any help I may receive.

OK so your external card needs to be fat32, you can put the rom on your internal and flash it that way, but just make sure you don't wipe you're internal sd card because the room file will get erased.
As for Cyanogen 10, there's a ROM in the development section that you can use. I use it as a DD and it runs great.

what's a DD BTW?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 4
And also what are the positives and negatives to using Cyanogen? I have honestly just seen the name over and over. I know it helps with over clocking and stuff but that's about all I'm aware of.

Cyanogen is one of the ways we can get pure AOSP experience on our phones. No manufacturer bloat, no Carrier bloat, just pure AOSP. Positives for me is that my phone is a lot smoother once it's fully up and running with Cyanogen, and theming. I like switching themes on a regular basis. Disadvantages would be that sometimes not everything works the same as it did on stock rom so you have to choose what's most important to you.
DD= Daily Driver, a rom you can use everyday even with the flaws it may have.
Gotcha. Appreciate it man.
