I like to try out new roms, but I hate going back through the play store and picking which apps to download again. Sometimes it seems like 'some' apps will reinstall on their own when I am setting up the phone/tablet and put in my google log in info, but it also seems very random. For instance, right now, how would I get my phone to automatically download every app that is on it after I install a new rom?

I'm not sure, that seems to be a hit and miss for me. For tw 4.1.1+ roms, it usually never redownloads my apps upon logging into my google account. On roms with 4.2+, (usually aosp) They usually seemed to always download by themselves. It might be a 4.2 feature, I'm not exactly sure. It just hits and misses a lot.

I don't think we're taking about the same thing. I mean for the apps I have downloaded using Google play to automatically download to the phone out tablet when I install a new Rom.

U will have to use Titanium Backup Pro app to restore ur apps + data (do not restore system data) after u flash a new Rom.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
I don't think you.need a third party app to do this. Like I said before it happens on some installs and not all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
The only other way i can't think of is using ur Google account. There is an option in the Sync settings of google on ur phone to Sync app data. And even when first flashing new firmware there is an option that comes up after the install and boot of the firmware that asks if u want to use google to restore ur apps etc.
Other than that, idk.

ok ive been trying to use and understand the app, app brain lately. i have a feeling its most likely user error. but from my understanding one of the main uses of this app is it syncs your apps so when you reset/wipe your phone, you re d/l app brain and it lists all your synced apps for easy download. well everytime right before i wipe, i click sync on app brain, wipe the phone and it lists no apps, or maybe 1 or 2 (outta around 15ish) is it something im doing wrong?
It's been working fine for me lately, but I used to make a backup list online. Basically, sync, then go online and select all apps and copy them to a new list. Then wipe your phone, install the app and set up sync. If you are missing apps again, go to your computer, copy all the apps from the list to your installed list and sync again. Works like a charm.

Has anyone else noticed their phone missing from their market account after the update? My phone is no longer listed and if I choose an app to download my phone is not one of my options. I can reach the market fine from the phone but cannot see the phone fwhen on the site with my PC.

I haven't had mine missing after the JB update, but it might be considered a new phone under google (for whatever reason, even though that doesn't make sense)? I know when I got a new phone, it took about 2 days to show up under the market.
Have you used the google framework trick for a while? this issue appear after clean the data of this app. you just need to delete your account from the play store and add it again, then wait a moment, and it should be appear again.

Yes, I cleared the data. It is now in the store. I didn't delete the account but I did delete an old device I no longer have and that seemed to fix it.
Thanks!
How you deleted on old device? I can only dont list it at the store, but its still there.
I doubt anyone ever wanted not to update an app, but I have Tweedle installed, and I want to stick to a particular version. I've unchecked automatic updates in Google Play settings, but twice Google has forced the update on me without asking me.
Today though, it started downloading the update, I stopped it. Then after a while, it started doing the same thing again, and I stopped it. Third time though, I wasn't around, so the update was installed. Delinking the app from the Play Store using Titanium Backup doesn't work either.
However, my point is, if I don't want to update an app, why the hell is Google shoving it down my throat even without my permission, and moreover when I have denied it?
Addendum: I have unchecked automatic updates of the said app individually too.
It might not be google doing it. I remember reading Facebook bypassing google updates a while back.
Are you sure it's being updated via the play store?

yup. Had the Play Store open, and saw the download progress.
Tried detaching the app from the market using titanium backup?
Yes, as mentioned in the op
Whenever I try to download apps from Google Play, it freezes in certain percentage. Then I clear cache in Google play app and Google services framework, it works good. Is there any solution to download without any interruptions?
I am getting the same problems, along with texts sticking at "sending" and after clearing data and messing with these two apps I can get them to work right. Have you disabled any apps or made any mods? I am rooted and have only disabled VZ apps like Message+, Cloud, Support & Protection. And modified the xml file to give write access to the external sdcard.

There is probably something interfering. I had this com.tmobile.pr.adapt just screwing with everything to where i couldn't even download titanium to freeze it. If you have su installed try to disable su in app and see if your getting those errors. If not just re enable su.
I didn't rooted my mobile and not disabled any apps. How to solve it.

I am having these same issues. I have a Verizon G4, running stock Android 5.1. No mods, just disabled a few apps (Caller Name ID, Music, Music, NFL Mobile, Slacker Radio, and ThinkFree Viewer)
Whenever I try to update an app, it stops at a certain point, and the downloading arrow notification icon disappears, too. If i open up the "recent apps" window and swipe away Google Play store, the download arrow notification icon reappears and the app usually finishes downloading. Can't find any other fix for this
Also, I have been getting the issue with my text messages just STOPPING. a few times a day, it I just stop getting any and I can't send any. If I reboot, they usually start up again about 10 minutes later, but then will stop at some point as well. It's really frustrating. And, this seems to almost always happen at my home only. I took 2 trips out of town recently and texts worked fine both times. Within 5 minutes of stepping into my house, texts stop again. Verizon is looking into this, but I don't have much faith in them
i have the same problem, but it looks like when uninstalling xposed play store works normally again.
this is strange because the same setup was working for several days without any troubles.
also my alarm app "Alarm Clock Xtreme" stopped ringing and i had to use another alarm app.
maybe the new greenify beta update is the reason? the problems began somewhere around this update.
Is anyone else having trouble downloading apps from the Play Store? Apps will get to 98%, then just stop. I've tried rebooting, clearing the cache and data for the Play Store, and Play Services. I also removed my Google account, and re-signed in. It works for a day or two, then goes right back to getting stuck at 98%.

Try clearing the system cache on the boot menu.
Were any Google apks updated recently or need to be?
I have apps set to be manually updated, and I don't see any updates available. I've even tried a factory reset.
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Forget a factory reset as even if it fixes it you're likely to trigger it again.
Try resetting the associated Google system apks back to the factory load. If you already done that check for updates. Make sure you are not using a misconfigured firewall or package blocker.
Google the error code. Playstore is a little bitc$.
Probably a setting... or a data issue.
Keep playing with it; Androids wuv being played with.

Not sure all of the ones. Goggle play service for starters. This one won't wipe your google sign in.
To nuke all of just clear all the data in all the google apks. Something may have got corrupted by backup when you reloaded.
Maybe what's needed as well is clearing Google online data. Then clear the apks data... again.
Something's misconfigured or corrupted -if- the your current software is compatible with Playstore.
Go through all your Google online and Google phone settings.
Play with it and remember to reboot after making changes; it may not take until you do.
Lol even when Playstore is running right it's a little sketchy.

When I Google the issue, there's a lot of people with the same problem. None of their suggestions have worked either. I've done the Play Services, and it works for a day, then goes back to not downloading apps.

Use ApkExport to backup your apps to the SD card/computer. You can easily reinstall them then after a reload. You always have a known good copy.
Works perfectly with no adware.
Sometimes the PS issues resolve themself after a few days/weeks:silly:
I'm trying the Beta version of Play Services. It's working for now, so time will tell.
