Hi guys,
Our kernel version is 2.6.32.9
My question is what about if we go up to 2.6.35.14 or higher (not 3.x kernel)?? will we get better performance?? And what is the lastest release for GB Kernels 2.x.x.x??

hey guys whats the best kernel should i install if you guys could tell me somesthing more about the kernel i would be glad im looking for a kernel that i may overclock, have good linpack results and for it to be stable thank you very much for help
AOSP or Sense?
Sense - there is only 1 or 2 ATM
For AOSP, Try RichardTrips kernel (gingervillain) and EVioletts's Manu Kernel
If you are asking for Sense Kernels, try snq's or gingercakes cfs kernels.
Anyone as know why S/E, is still on kernel 2.6.32?.
Everyone else is running 2.6.35 with GingerBread.
I've read that it has a great importance with newer kernel
//dong
In fact, the Linux system is already on 3.1.5 (stable)
Froyo Kernel 2.6.32 (S/E still on this)
Gingerbread Kernel 2.6.35
Honeycomb Kernel 2.6.36
ICS Kernel 3.0.8
I hope S/E update kernel to the newest, this time.

Mate You as per Your specs... I can say that you are already with the best kernel...
indeed nFinity is the best kernel currently.

nFinity is the best kernel at present.
Without wanting to dissappoint you, i flashed infinityplay (v10 flashable) on erwinp's e14 (nightly) and my phone wouldn't recognize any wifi after 1-2 days. I don't think you will actually have a prob on the rom you use, but if you do please state it. Thanks.

infinity by arco (your kernel) or infinityplay by keiran (more governors and IO scheduler)

As far as I know, Kernel is the bridge between Hardware and OS.
Why there are different version of kernels? I think it is because of Android versioning too, Kernel 2.6.35 is for ICS, and Kernel 3.0 is for Jellybean. And of course, new version of kernel do have improvements over the old one

Hello weihan1102.
Yes it is, but not very noticeable
Kernel usually affect on battery usage, wifi signals, etc... But still, it's not noticeable, unless the kernel you are using have something wrong with them
can some 1 give me a link for nAa kernel v 2.6
i remeber when i used it with jb 4.2.2 i didnt get any lag or reboots at all
nAa only made 3.0.8 and 3.4.48 kernel for Arc/Arc S. 2.6.32.60 kernel was only for MDPI devices.
Try fusion kernel. One of the best 2.6 kernels.
