I cannot stand the installation procedure needed for the screen protectors. Every single time: I use the "provided micro fiber" cloth to remove dirt and lint and the apply. EVERY TIME I am left with tiny lint,, micro specs of air dust etc. between the film and the screen, and a small little bubble here and there. It drives me crazy. Call me obsessive compulsive but it take me about 3 screen protectors until I finally get it right. Anyone aware of any screen protection technology that will help me avoid this outcome?
I don't, but I did read that if you apply it in the bathroom after running hot water and steaming it up real good that it will help that problem a lot. I plan to try that when I get my first screen protector this week.

Hard type screen protectors will solve your bubble issues. Martin Fields screen protectors is pretty much impossible to have bubbles stuck inside it.
However it won't solve your dust problem. If anything, it's much easier to see dirt and other imperfections stuck between the screen and a Martin Field protector.
Or you could try one of the crystal screen protectors from boxwave. I had your problem too with my first 2 screen protectors, and it seemed that I couldn't just get them on there without a problem. With this one from boxwave, I just wiped it off with the provided micro-fiber cloth and used the bubble-elimination card to remove any possible bubbles under the screen!

Get the ones from ATT. I have tried Bodyguardz, Zagg, Stealth Guards, and some generic BS from eBay. All of those were the type you apply with the solution (and have that dreaded orange peel look) and you have to wait for it to "cure" and it is extremely easy to get bubbles stuck in them.
The ones from ATT on the other hand, are completely smooth and truly invisible. They are a stiffer material and you do not need application solution. I am very happy with them and for 9.99 you get 3 of them. If you mess one up by getting some lint on it or whatever, you can just wash it with soapy water and spray it down with some water+baby soap and re apply it that way. Very easy to get the air bubbles out that are caused by using the solution. Again, they can be installed with no solution at all and if done carefully, it should look like nothing was ever installed on the phone

I got them from a local store for 7$ since I got a discount. Those above ^^ from BoxWave seem extremely over priced. For 10$ you can't go wrong with the ones from ATT.
I am using clarivue not even a single dust, lint, inside. It's the quick and easy 3 layer type screen protectors.
Here's a tip ... go to the bathroom and turn on hot water on sink or whatever to create humidity that would trap the dust or w/e in the air ... and it makes this easier to apply.
I haven't had a screen protector on my Vibrant in almost 2 months now & even with constantly putting it in my pocket with my keys, dropping it once onto my driveway & even fumbling it into bouncing off a brick wall one time I have yet to scratch my screen. The rest of the phone is dented & scratched but the screen is still beautiful.

I had my iPod Touch for years, in and out of pockets with keys and pocket-knives and cell phones, dropped countless times, two little kids messing with it all the time, accidentally sliding it face-down across surfaces, and so on. Never used a screen protector, never got a single blemish or scratch. And that was basically plain old arsenic-free glass. The Captivate is made with Corning's high-tech Gorilla Glass.
Sure, either could still scratch or break. But it's like getting a car with an expensive paintjob, and then covering the whole thing in Scotch tape so it won't get scratched. You end up with something that looks god-awful 100% of the time, because you're afraid something might happen to it that would affect how it looks. Pretty much any time someone hands me their smartphone or DS, it is a scratched, smudgy, dusty mess because of some $40 screen cover they have on there. I always try to point out that it seems odd to make your screen look terrible on purpose just because you're afraid of you might make it look terrible on accident. I used one good one once, that you couldn't even tell was there, but the first time I took it on a flight it turned into smears of rainbows.
use a piece of clear packing tape to remove the dust. running the shower helps bring dust down but there will be some lint from the cloth. dont lean over it, a lot of "dust" is dry dead skin or dandruff so if you have dry skin or dry scalp dust will fall on it. also stop being so anal.

I don't need no stinkin' screen protector. I mean unless I know my phone is going to be dragged across macadam but then a screen protector won't help, will it.

So, I got this Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal screen protector, and you literally cannot tell it is on there. It feels just like the glass (con for me actually, I prefer a paper kind of feel) and doesn't scratch easily at all. Plus, I installed it in a dusty room and there was no lint or anything else under the screen. It even comes with a thick card to remove bubbles once it has been applied. So, if you're even slighty, .000001% scared of getting lint trapped underneath the screen, go with Boxwave. I vouch for its clarity and ease of installation. Also, my screen is just as sensitive as before, as I've tried BARELY touching the screen and it still would pick up a touch.
And, in the rare event that you did get dust glued to the screen, it is completely washable and rewashable, so it is a little expensive, but well, well worth it.
Oh, and there is no adhesive whatsoever, not even water is needed. Just peel and go.

totally terrible advice. not that i care but i have about 20 microscratches and a couple decent sized ones....
it takes time to learn how to put screen protectors on... I have probably put 500 or so on all different types of phones you just wipe it clean tilt it so that you can make sure there are no dust particles... then you pull the backing off of the protector a few inches apply to the designated area and take a credit card and follow the rest of the protector down... works everytime

I second this . there is no such thing as 'unscratchable glass' some very expensive sunglasses use to have that warranty , guess what , they dont anymore ...
although I have to say the argument about HAVING YOUR PHONE LOOK UGLY JUST IN CASE SOME ACCIDENT CAN HAPPEN TO MAKE UGLY made me laugh , I d never have a phone without one my advice :
Just buy a few cheap ones on eBay and master the trick when your bored , after 3 times it should be installed perfectly , I also noticed if you have light scratches already on it , the screen protector hides them so thats a bonus
Ive tried SO many screen protectors. The only one I have been happy with so far (and VERY happy at that) is Realook. They are SUPER clear, thin, and very hard. You do not lose the glassy feel or the crisp vivid look on the screen. Ive put them on a few phones now, a few Vibrants and a Mytouch Slide 3g (my gf didnt even know i had put it on there till i told her). Its $10 for 2 protectors and I HIGHLY recommend them.

I have a tiny little chip right in the middle of my screen on my Captivate about a cm underneath the AT&T logo. It has taken less abuse than yours, and it even has a screen protector on it. It looks like the kind of chip you would get if a piece of gravel hit your windshield a little too hard.

Thanks for the info on the Boxwave screen protector, I've been wandering if it's as good as it looks.
In the malls near me now, there are little carts (you know those areas of the mall, where the cart/carny people are) that have people with small steady hands...
Invisible Shield it is called. They give you a lifetime warranty on the cover. They put it on. They will even cover your entire phone if you want (the back of the Captivate I am thinking of getting covered to avoid scratches on the metal back), and if you get a replacement phone for some reason, you only pay a portion of the price (material only) and they put it on again.
They use some sort of silicon liquid (snake oil... was probably just water) to aid in putting it on, and mine is perfect. Had a couple bubbles with the liquid still in it, but true to their word, it evaporated (through the protector) and it was perfect the next morning.
I jumped at this opportunity after totally FAILING at putting on a protector on my Tilt 2 (two packs of 3). On that phone, I took an exacto knife to cut off the excess I was so bad at it. I gladly paid $20 to have someone else do it and give me a warranty on it.

I have been using Zagg's invisibleShield for my Vibrant. However, recently I got my phone replaced and since I have heard so many good things about Realook, I wanted to give Rk a try instead of just ordering a replacement iS. Now that I have experienced both (albeit, I have only been using Rk for a short amount of time whereas I have plenty of experience with iS since this is my second device with it), I figure I should share my findings with my fellow XDA'ers. Note this is a comparison of only screen protectors - not whole body protectors.
Size/Coverage
Winner: Realook
Both iS and Rk cover 98%+ of the screen, including the touchkeys at the bottom. Both iS and Rk have an opening cut out for the speaker (Rk has a hole for the speaker, covering above and below the speaker, while iS has a cut-out for the speaker, not covering the small area above it). Only iS has an opening cut out for the light sensors - Rk does not have a cut out for the light sensors.
Rk covers more of the phone than iS. With iS, there is about .5-1 cm uncovered area - on all sides - between the screen protector and the edge of the phone. The uncovered area is large enough that a simple case will not cover it (i.e. you may find it catching dust, etc.) but small enough to not cause you protection issues or worries. Rk, on the other hand, covers more area. Depending on how well you apply it, you can potentially have very little uncovered area between the screen protector and the edge of the phone. Any area that is uncovered is small enough to be covered by a simple case, so little to no dust or dirt should get there. Personally, I was able to apply Rk in such a way that for the top, right, and left my case covered whatever Rk did not; I was not so lucky for the bottom -- there is a very minor uncovered gap that will probably catch dirt, etc.
Application/Installation
Winner: Depends on personal preference
Rk and iS differ highly in how they are applied to the phone. Rk is a "dry install' while iS is a "wet install".
With iS you are provided with some liquid solution that you use to apply the protector onto your phone. You spray the liquid on your fingertips - to help avoid fingerprints - and on the protector, before applying the protector onto the phone.
With Rk you have to peel off protective covers (the protector is covered by two "covers" on the front and back which need to be peeled off) before applying the protector on your phone.
Both iS and Rk are easily reapply-able if you make a mistake in positioning the protector. I hear Rk can even be reapplied at later dates, but I have not tested this out personally so I don't know. iS is also supposedly reapply-able, but only if you have any solution left.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to the iS/wet and Rk/dry application methods.
Because iS uses a liquid solution to assist in applying the protector, it is much easier to avoid catching dust and dirt particles under the protector and to avoid fingerprint marks. On the other hand, air bubbles are likely to occur and you need to be sure to push out the air bubbles with something like a credit card. Also, since you don't have to worry about fingerprints (thanks to the liquid solution) it is a bit easier to hold and apply iS if you are clumsy, like me. You need to be careful to conserve the liquid solution, though, because once you are out, your short on luck: You can either beg customer service to send you another one, or order extra solution from somewhere.
The advantage Rk's dry install offers is immediate up-time, and little-to-no air bubbles in the main area of the screen (there may be air bubble at the edges and/or around the speaker, though). With iS, you need to allow the phone to "dry" for something like 8-10 hours, whereas you can start using your phone with Rk ASAP. On the other hand, dust and dirt particles will drive you mad while trying to apply Rk, and you need to be careful to not touch the adhesive side with your fingers otherwise you may have fingerprint issues.
Two things that irk me about Rk are the confusing installation directions (you really need to be skilled with your fingers to do it as they want you to), and the fact that there was dirt/dust on the covers that protect the screen protector. The protector itself was 100% clean -- the two covers that protect the front and back/adhesive side, though, were a bit dirty so when you try to position the protector on your screen, as per the directions, prior to pulling off the two protective covers, the dirt/dust gets transferred to your screen and if you aren't careful you may not wipe it off before applying the protector.
Quality
Winner: invisibleShield
Both are excellent quality -- they have little to no effect on picture quality when compared to a naked Vibrant. I bet most people wouldn't even notice you have a screen protector if not specifically looking for one.
However, one very minor issue I noticed is at the lowest brightness setting, Rk caused the screen to be minor-ly less bright than iS. This is very minor and no one will even notice it unless specifically looking for it. At higher brightness settings, this issue is not even ascertainable.
Both Rk and iS attract fingerprints easily, and Rk is a bit easier to wipe off than iS.
One major issue I found, though, are reflections. Rk claims to be "anti-reflective" and "anti-glare" (it also claims to be "anti-fingerprint", which it isn't as I just mentioned), but in reality that couldn't be any further from the truth. I kid you not when I say you may confuse your phone for a mirror if you have Rk -- the reflection is that bad. While inside it isn't too bad as long as you don't have a light source directly behind you. When outside, however, the reflection/glare (whatever you want to call it) is terrible. Even on full brightness the reflection/glare is very annoying while outside -- forget using your phone on low brightness, which is something I could sometimes get away when I used iS.
iS, on the other hand, does well in protecting against glares and reflections. Indoors, even with a light source directly behind me, the phone is still very usable. And as long as I keep the protector clean, iS causes no problems outdoors.
Texture
Winner: Realook
Here is one major area that Rk and iS differ. Rk has more of a "glass" texture to it, while iS is more "plasticky". In other words, with Rk you will have more smooth, glass like feeling while with iS you may find a bit more friction. That is not to say Rk is always smooth -- if you drag your finger on Rk without picking it up for too long you will start to feel lots of friction also. However, in general, Rk has a must better feel to it than iS. In fact, iS has somewhat of a "break-in" period where you may notice your fingers sticking to iS making using a touchscreen near impossible for the first few days.
Price
Winner: Depends on how many times you replace your phone
Realook costs you $10.99 with free shipping (both Amazon and eBay listings provide free shipping) for a two-pack.
invisibleShield screen protector only (not fully body cover) costs you $14.99 + shipping for one protector. (You may be able to get a 50% off coupon for iS if you submit your e-mail for their awards/giveaways program - I did.) However, iS has a "life-time guarantee" where you can get a "free" iS replacement if your screen protector ever gets scratched. (You may also get a free replacement if you get your device replaced, like a warranty replacement -- they allow you to do that.) I put free in quotes because, it isn't really free -- you have to pay $3.99 for shipping and send back the old screen protector (which will only cost you an envelope and a stamp).
Final Words
Both Realook and invisibleShield are top-class. They are both terrific products, both with advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I prefer Realook's "glassy" feeling and better coverage than iS but the reflection/glare on Realook is a deal breaker since I use my phone outside often. So, my next course of action will be to see if Realook has any sort of money back guarantee since this product fails to do as it advertises when it comes to reflection and glare. In other words, I am going with invisibleShield. For everyone else, however, I can't provide a general recommendation since everyone has their own tastes and preferences. I do hope, however, my comparison here helps you make your decision.
I have IS, it works as it should thus far. Does the one you use, tetain its shape after its ben scratched or dented by something like IS. I like the way IS feels, everyone else hates it though lol. Guess it doesnt matter since it is my phone lol.
Invisible Shield is a ***** to install. Its very sticky and kept sticking on my fingers and flapping up. It took me a while to get it right. Other than the install issue, I am very happy with IS. The shield is already scratched up but it is very strong material and I know that my vibrant glass underneath is unscratched. I am thinking about sending the scratched IS back for a replacement but since the install is a ***** I will wait until it is really scratched up.
I've used both and IMO RealLook is superior by far. It doesn't look like I have anything on the screen. I haven't personally noticed any glare issues. I hated InvisibleShield. It looked like I had a covering on my screen, it smudged easily, and was hard to wipe the smudges off. With RealLook, I just use my shirt and it looks sparkling new. I had a go of it getting all of the bubble around the edge to come out, but once they were out, it was flawless.
I have also had both screen protectors on my Vibrant and the Realook beats the InvisibleShield hands down. If you are looking for a screen protector that is invisible in every way... The Reallook is the one for you.
Realook all the way. I had IS on my HD2 and hated it, it's thick, sticky even after install around the edges and kept peeling up.
Realook is easy to clean, looks like there's nothing there, as very low glare, and your fingers glide over the screen.

Firstly, I want to thank DarkAgent for the very comprehensive review. Props to you! The review is intelligent, thorough, and very sensible.
And on that note, I have been a 'long-time' user of the BestSkinsEver (or BSE) products ever since they became more main-stream; I believe one of my first orders dates back to 2006. I have personally put more BSE/IS skins on devices than I can remember, literally dozens. And I must say the main reason I switched/used BSE's products in the first place was for that of their low cost, especially in consideration to InvisibleShield. With that said, I will have to admit that perhaps the most annoying thing about the skin in general I have found is its ability to attract dust/dirt/junk on, and along, the edges of the skin. This is often not only upsets the look of the device, but it in turn starts to gum up the adhesive of the skin and ultimately separates the skin from the device.
A rather long way to get around to saying that while I am quite happy with the product, and that I can now quite consistently get good results, I am open to other options.
The Realook has me tempted, if for nothing else it will help me in my own personal knowledge and for future recommendations to others.

I'd say Realook is look. I do get glare sometimes, but more of the time my screen is sharp as can be.
I love the phantomskinz screen protector. You don't even know there is one on it and it self heals itself.
Here's my problem..I love IS bc it really feels like it adds a layer of protection to the screen, it applies great and I've never had a single issue with bubbles, peeling, scratches, or the application process. I've used IS on at least 5 devices. What i dont like is the friction you experience with the protector and the screen quality has always been negatively affected in terms of brightness and clarity.
Now I've also used many hard protectors and have issues with them too, mainly its that they always get scratched up, begin to peel and quickly look terrible. So does RF have these issues? If I'm spending $10 on screen protectors I'd rather buy 10 $0.99 protectors and just swap them when they're scratched up. So is RF actually scratch resistant or only a screen protector? I'd rather stay with IS and not have to worry about ever replacing it due to scratches or peeling if RF is just like every other "dry" protector out there.

Bodyguardz does the same thing, scratches get buffed out with normal use, and fade away.

I've tried both, first iS then Realook.
I teared off iS the same day I put it on. That sticky feeling simply kills! It reminds
you constantly that there's something on your screen. Yes it is visually invisible, maybe. But mentally, it's NOT. And that sticky touch feels nasty as well.
Realook is a total different story, after putting it on (yes, I managed to put it on without a single dust getting between), I almost don't feel any screen protector there. It's smooth and responsive. All the way hands down.
I've used both and Realook is miles better. The IS yellows over time and distorts the screen too much. The friction on the screen is also annoying and is a constant reminder that you have it on. Finally, over time the edges will attract dust and dirt and start to gum up which eventually causes it to peel off. The only upside is that the stickiness (friction) is nice when you're holding the phone if you have it on the entire body.
I've had my realook on for almost a year now and don't have any problems. I've used it heavily and it doesn't show a scratch. The best part is that it's completely invisible both by looks AND feel. There is absolutely no comparison, the Realook is the superior product.
My advice for anyone putting it on is to dust your area with a damp rag and clean the phone off well. Once it's dry and polished pat it down with scotch tape to get the dust off before you apply the protector (also works on the underside of the Realook if you need to take it off).

i dont think the glast uses adhesive - it is just the vacuum suction created by having two surfaces together - like water moving up two panes of glass
That sucks. Care to tell us what happened and what the state of your Notes screen?
Glas.t does use adhesive.
It is easy to take off but once it's off you can't use it again because the adhesive loses it's "grip"

It's very simple.
I installed GLAS.t to my Note. Without dust and air bubbles. But was very surprised how dirty fingers leave a trace on it. Thought that the wrong side of his stick on the phone. Pulled back, touched the other side. There is much worse. So, stuck right. But the inner surface has already managed to collect dust and sticky back was pointless. GLAS.t has been corrupted and I began to experiment on him. Trying to scratch and learn construction.
Needle leaves little discernible scratches on the surface. Attempts to leave a deep scratch failed.
That's one of those moments when pressing it burst.
The surface of the glass inside lined with a film, which caused the adhesive layer - adhering dust can not be deleted.
Do you still advice the glas.t protector ? are you gonna buy a new one ?
Yes, I want to buy another one. But to be much more careful with installation process.
I'm on my second GLAS.t, the original had a problem with the adhesive and SGP exchanged it for me free of charge.
I just want to give my experience on some of the comments here.
The GLAS.t uses adhesive, it says it on the box, it's some sort of silicon glue. It is not impossible to get off, in fact it's very easy, but not like it is just sliding off the phone.
It is almost impossible to scratch, I used my chefs knife and just barely made a scratch (youtube: Spigen GLAS.t Stregth Test).
I also managed to break the one that had a problem with the adhesive, albeit after I had removed it (I was bending it to see how much it could withstand). There is a some sort of film on it (like a car windscreen) that allows it to shatter without falling apart.
It causes no interference with the SPen and fingers (not even with two installed).
This thing is amazing, anyone that says otherwise is a hater.

But how about the buttons on the bottom?
The only problems I've seen had to do with those buttons, that you had to press really hard before your touch gets recognized.

Completely untrue
Indeed it is completely untrue. I don't know how these rumors get started but some people have absolutely no idea what they are talking about some times.
When I uninstalled my first GLAS.t I placed it ontop of the second. It worked very well, in fact if not for the degraded adhesive it would have probably worked even better than the screen itself.

Well, the touchscreen works (with glas.t) like its without, no difference.
But, due to the glas.t thickness, pressing the home-key isn't as good as without.
Too bad, that there is no way of rising the home-key (like a small glas.t for the button).

Like the iPhone version. Wouldn't be bad, but imagine the dust and the grime and the grinding noise caised by the dust between the two pieces of glass every time you pressed it. Being 0.4mm thick, I find that there is no real difference to the functionality, and in fact I find it a bit more comfortable resting my finger in the space.

I don't find that a problem. I actually like feeling that groove.
I'm eager to buy, but i have a few minor scratches already, (i'm not using a protector) they are hard to find and you can only see them with the screen of.
I'm scared that where the scratches are the protector will not make good contact, and i have bubbles.
Anybody something to say about this ?

What is it?
Your touch screen comes with Gorilla Glass, which is great. It has an oleophobic coating on the screen that repels oils from your fingers, from your face. It is great. It also gives the screen that smooth finger sliding lower co-efficient of friction. That new phone screen feeling that I just love when I get a new phone. The problem is that it wears off after some time and you will notice after having the phone for a few months that the screen starts smudging and you start wiping the screen more and more to make it look clean. This drives me crazy and I can honestly admit that I have in the past purchased a new phone just so I could get that "New Screen Feeling". I once even traded in my Galaxy S2 used for a new S2 and spent $100 just to get the "New Screen Feeling".
Am I crazy?
Maybe but I am sure I am not the only one who loves a new screen. I absolutely hate screen protector with a passion, and I have tried multiple different protectors during my smart phone era but none did it for me except the ones that are made from tempered glass, but they suffer from the same fate of the coating wearing off and they are more susceptible to scratching then the stock screen.
So the solution?
This coating can be reapplied for cheap. There are a few different brands that I have come across. I used a brand called Proteger ordered on eBay from Japan. Other brands I have seen are Fusso and Dynaflo LIQUID-ARMOR. It appears that they are all manufactured in Japan. Most bottles are between $15 - $20.
The instructions say to use 10 - 15 drops on the screen. This is not needed and WAY TOO MUCH. You can put 4 - 5 drops on your screen per coat. Best to do 4 coats. This is how I applied it.
- clean first with supplied micro fibre cloth
- 5 drops on screen
- rub with one finger covering the whole screen. I kept rubbing until it was almost completely dry.
- once it is dry the screen is very hazy. Use a clean rag or paper towel to wipe it off. Keep turning the rag to a clean dry spot until all haze is gone.
- repeat 3 more times. It is suggested that you wait 8 hours to allow each coat to cure. I only waited 10 minutes and got great results, but tonight I will allow it 8 hours while I sleep to cure another coat.
Results.
You will notice immediately that the screen feels like new. Even after first coat, but it improves with every coat. The more coats the more slick the screen is.
******Here is the best part*******
I noticed with my Nexus 5 and previous phone that I would always get these micro scratches from regular use. This would drive some people to get screen protectors but I rather micro scratches then a disgusting looking screen protector. I never really got deep scratches or gouges but I would always get micro scratches that you could only see at certain angles. Here is the kicker. After applying the Proteger coating THESE SCRATCHES ARE GONE edit** the ok the scratches are not completely gone but they are much less noticeable. You really have to try to see them now. Obviously this product isn't some sort of magic solution, and the scratches don't disappear. I reckon that it fills the fine scratches kinda like wax on your car. Either way less noticeable is good enough for me.
I even tried it on my crappy beat up Blackberry work phone that has a pretty scratched up screen and all of the scratches are now gone except for 2 deep ones, but even they are less noticeable. AMAZING.
This is a great product and I will recommend it to everyone that I know. The bottle I bought was 10ml and I have done 2 phones and I can't even see the level go down in the bottle, this product should last a long time.

The Anker screen protectors I use are completely invisible, provided you apply them correctly. And to me, micro scratches are completely unacceptable for resale value purposes.

Hmm maybe this would be great when applied on a cheap glass screan protector. A bit pricey, still.

Exactly my experience. No one believes me when I tell them my phone has a screen protector applied to it. Also they have a very good anti-smudge coating which stops a lot of finger prints and makes the screen very easy to clean. And if you want to have a screen that looks and feels always as new as possible, just stick a new protector on the phone. I got 3 ones from Anker for just 5€. Obviously this only works if you put the screen protector on as soon as you unbox your freshly bought phone. IMO this is the only real way to prevent micro-scratches or any other type of scratches to harm the actual screen. If you want to sell your phone you can take the screen protector off and it looks as new (granted you have been using a case so the rest of your phone isn't scratched etc either)

I haven't personally used RainX, but I have heard some people get good results from it. That said, I still believe a true oleophobic coating is a better idea. I don't know how to feel about the chemical properties of RainX. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

Thanks for this. I've had a hammerhead here for 26 months and just realized after buying another phone how bad the screen is regarding oil and smudges. It is rather ungodly and disgusting looking after taking a phone call. Based on searches the oleophobic coating is gone and I've been looking for a kit to reapply some of it at the very least. All the other products I've looked at do recommend multiple applications several hours apart.
Hopefully your fourteen month old review still holds true.

I agree, my experience with Tech Armor glass screen protectors has been good! The oleophobic coating is better than the one that comes with the nexus 5 and the scratch resistance is better. With a case on, you forget it is even there. I'd link you to it if i could!
Thanks for that information, I was only aware of Fusso before and that costs about £20 for 3ml, for about £30 you get 20ml of this stuff, way better value! I know what to get next time!
Hey, are you able to confirm if the Proteger coating actually works well. Read a few reviews and they all say it only last half a day while Fusso has great reviews. Don't want to waste £30 in it if it's no good.
Hey all. Quick question here. I bought an S9+ without any contracts or anythign cash. I was due for an upgrade so I figured I would splurge. When I bought the phone I picked up an otterbox and a glass screen cover. I spent good money on the glass and I literally applied it right after I unboxed the phone, gave the screen a quick spray with the included solution and cleaned it up to perfection. The glass itself was annoying due to the loss in sensitivity. I set up the higher sensitivity in the phone, but I still had sensitivity issues when I noticed the glass protector was separating from the screen. Very annoying and one day I just yanked it off due to constant typing errors from inputs not registering. So I went online to Amazon and I picked up a Spigen wallet case so I could protect my screen in my pocket while not bothering with annoying screen protectors.
After a few short weeks, I noticed my phone had scuffs from the stitching on the case. I cant believe how fragile this screen is considering it was just a soft material scuffing it up so bad.
Anyhow, it's not a MAJOR issue because I do not notice them when the screen is on, but it certainly looks shady and will affect resale if I want to sell my phone. Any thoughts on buffing out the very small micro scratches?! Im nervous to take a magic eraser to the screen, but I have some at home and am tempted to test that out. Im almost curious if Samsung would warrant that, but I highly doubt it since it was an aftermarket case.

I have carried my phones in my pocket for years and never had a scratched glass. I don't put anything like keys in the same pocket but that's why I wear jeans, shorts, and slacks with 2 pockets. ?

So many people say they do this And never get scratches, yet every phone I've had had ended up with micro scratches. I'm the same add you and never place my phone in a pocket with anything else...

Never had any scratches on any of mine either, but might depend where in the world you are, certain types of dust/sand that have a high Mohs scale value could scratch gorilla glass, possible your region has those where ours don't, or at least not commonly
First few days I get a new phone I carefully clean it with a proper screen cloth, a week later I'm wiping it on pretty much anything soft I am close to

Caring your phone in your pocket is not safe if you are in dusty environment. One speck of sand dust can scratch your screen. The case probably picked up some particles. The stitching can not scratch the glass, neither can keys, coins, knives etc. Only things that are harder than glass like quartz. Even a speck of quartz dust can scratch your screen. You have to keep dust, dirt, and sand away from your screen or it will get scratched.
