so best buy installed an invis shield on my tbolt the day i bought it. the thing has always been too big, it bubbles up so bad i cannot even put a case on it. today in the heat i have tons of huge bubbles, never seen this happen before. so i got ticked and ordered a phantom skinz. i think ill stay away from the shields from now on.
end rant...
it has a lifetime warranty why wouldn't you use it?

ah alright. I've never let best buy install them for me, always did my own and never had an issue. I just use a ringke case and verzion screen protectors. I've had this screen cover on since launch day and it still in excellent condition

I installed my invisibleh myself and ivliked it at first. After a while, it just gets a tad cloudy IMO...or those lines show up..
That was back on my EVO. I removed it because that a pen snagged it and while the funky film protected the screen, it left a wrinkle in the screen and that darn thing never reformed itself.
Got stenhiel and was fine till my EVO went swimming XD.
I'm so much happier the hard clear screens than dreadful no scratch films that look like orange peels on clear coat.
End rant.

I have the invisible shield and installed it my self. I love it no bubbles and it takes a beating. I do notice I have to clean it with that cleaning cloth it came with every once in a while because slight smears will not clean up with a quick wipe from a t-shirt. Other than that I don't regret buying it at all. Worth every penny for me.
I had phantom skins on my previous phone for 2 years, and it was great, now I got same on Thunderbolt.
My wife had invisible skins and it wasn't that easy to put on without bubbles on her phone screen, dropped skin after a year, it started to come off in corners

thinking about trying phantom skins..but have never really liked screen protectors :/
i got an Invisi-Shield from Best Buy Mobile also. some guy working there installed it for me and it did seem slightly off & the next day there were still some bubbles on it. i ended up going back again and this time a girl re-installed it for me and it's perfect now.
moral of the story, ask for a female employee to install it for you.
I used to buy ghost armor, invisi-shield, and another expensive one...can't remember the name? Anyway, now all I get are the cheap ones. The one I'm running with right now is the free one that came with Seidio Convert from Amazon and honestly its the best SP I've ever had on. Can't tell its there and replacements are like 3 for $3 or something like that?
Just my 2 scents...

Zagg is still the best IMHO. Sounds like someone didn't install it right for you. I've installed my own on my last few devices and they lasted me yeeears, and still work and still have the invisashield on them

I just go my own and I did it myself. Follow the instructions, take your time wet, wet and wet your hands and the film. Use the tools they sent you and squeeze and squeeze over and over. My final results was crystal clear and no complains.
What I dislike about the invisible shield is the finger slice on the glass, it feels different and somewhat different to move screen.
I use SGP Steinheil Ultra Crystal. I think its the best screen protector I've ever used. Its clear like glass, smooth like glass, and scratch resistant like glass. Most people who see my phone don't even realize there's a screen protector on it. I've used Zagg before and I didn't like it. It has an orange-peel effect, reduces screen visibility, and isn't smooth when you slide your finger on it.
I went and found a Ghost Armor kiosk in my mall and gave it a shot. Much better than Invisishield and Verizon ones! I will not use another screen protector brand ever again if i can help it.
Just saw these online. Was wondering anyone has used or is using one of these.
Any reviews?

The shock absorb demonstration video had me in tears, god that is awesome and hilarious at the same time LOL
Wish I could see one on the galaxy s3.
Seems interesting. Is this whole body protection or just the screen? 30 bucks for just the screen seems a bit much. For that price I'd be more likely to get a glass screen protector.

It is only for the screen.
It is about 20 bucks here, and I live in Korea so I am getting free shipping
I ordered one yesterday, so should get here on Monday. Ill post some picks. No videos though, I could never even think about doing that to my phone!
Well, finally got er on.
Pros
-protects the screen very well
-covers most of the screen, leaving only the speak and above, and the camera hole not covered. (and the button I suppose).
-feels smooth
Cons
-gets marked up very easily (just using the applicator left marks on it.....the plastic thingy)
-feels kind of rubbery to the touch (although it is smooth).
-still has a bit of a rainbow effect......a bunch of little rainbow pixels that I have been trying to get rid of.
I don't know what I want to do....there are marks on the screen already, but this thing really protects and covers the whole screen.
Just looking at it again, and it seems to be peeling up the sides like all the other ones.
Im going to leave it until morning and see what I wake up to.....
Hmm... are you using a case as well? Maybe I should have waited before I ordered mine

Any further information on those Buff covers? They look tempting imho... but testers should report .P
Sorry, to update....
It is a very sweet protector!
The sides settled down after a day or two and no problems at all.
Screen is clear and finger prints are not a problem.
Recommended for anyone that wants some extra protection.
One small problem....if you have a case that comes up and over the edges of the screen, you may have some problems. My gel case would cause the sides to peel up, do I'm using a slim case now

Got a different case because my diztronic was not having this protector at all.. works great.
Problem with mine is, I didn't align perfectly, so sides are a little off. But I spent too damn long applying it and had many dust problems, so I said screw it.(Also botched my first one -_-)
How is the screen clarity compared to not having the screen protector? I've tried the Zagg stuff and although nice protection, orange peel look and feel of plastic really got to me after a while.

I find it's somewhat similar to a ZAGG, not as orangy, but definitely not as smooth as naked either. You notice it the first time, but I just glide now that I got used to it. This obviously isn't the answer you were looking for, but it's the best I could do @[email protected]

Actually it does help, looking closely at your pictures, I can see where the buff protector starts comparing it to the white of the phone, there is a slight tint, so your right it is not as orange but still there. But I might sacrifice the smoothness since the buff protection from shocks is amazing, and from the number of cracked screens I have been hearing about with this phone, I think I may need it.

Glad I could help bro, I didn't apply the screen protector too well also. It seems to be more on the right side of the phone, but yeah.. I just got too tired man. I iced my first one, and the second one took equally as long and painful due to dust cleaning. Sometimes I just can't win! I'm happy with it though. Now I know my phone can take a brick at it, kinda.
Hi all,
Pretty sad at the moment, just found 2 scratches on my s3(one vertically around the middle, and one horizontally around the bottom) that are pretty noticeable in daylight.
In the dark it is minor but still there. It sucks because I cant remember any instance where I could have gotten a scratch and I've had the phone for only 5 days. Do you think a screen protector will help hide these scratches in any way? I'm not totally destructed over this I just came to realization that this screen is not as durable as I initially thought it was. I just really need to protect over these next 2 years until my contract is up. I ordered a armor suit for the phone btw.
Also, if any suggestions please feel free to throw them my way
Thanks for any comments or help!
Invisishield will do the job and hide most scratches. Everyone phone I get the first stop I make is at the mall to get an Invisishield put on it. They are guaranteed for life of phone.

i bought an iphone iwth a ghost armor protector over the entire phone after i bought i i get a iphone 4 case for it when it was an iphone 4s a bit bigger and it peeled off the plastic "armor" and to my surprise there was a **** load of scratches i got ripped but i learned ghost armor does a hell of a job hiding scratches
if you dont want the entire phone done get the invisishild ones they do a great job as well.

I feel you on that one. I still don't know where my scratches came from haha. I wish I would have taken a bit more precaution but I thought the glass would be a bit more reliable considering everyday use. Anywho, the S3 is a great device and have no gripes about it!
Hopefully the screen protector I bought off amazon will cover up the scratches for the most part, if it does that I will be more than satisfied.

Any experience with IQ Shield? < or > Skinomi?
Had mine on for 7 days now. Still bubbles all around the edges of the protector which look bad. One corner peeled up when I was wiping it down with a screen cloth so now I have fuzzies all under it. The feel of the protector i enjoy. It's not super glass smooth but it never feels tacky to use. The cut of the protector was perfect. Overall for $3 its not bad to hold me over until my InvisibleShield gets here (boy they are slow at shipping). I think I'll stick with InvisibleShield which I've used for many different devices and never had any problems with bubbles coming out / edges peeling. Same feel but better quality it seems.

I've got an IQ shield on mine at the moment. Installed easy but I flubbed and didn't install it quite even and so the bottom keeps bubbling from the case. I think if I'd lined it up perfectly, it wouldn't be an issue. I'd also tried the Skinomi (not impressed) and the Armorshield (I think I must have put the case on too soon, it bubbled along the side once I put the case on 24 hours later). Maybe I should stop trying wet install screen protectors?
Picked up The Skinomi because I couldn't resist the price. The cutouts for the screen sensors wouldn't line up with the phone. (yes, I installed it facing the right way)
Onto the next brand. Thinking about going with the power support one because they are supposedly officially licensed M4de for Moto X.

I'm using the Rocketfish case from BestBuy. 100% clear, really high quality, and lets the design of this phone shine through. Well worth the price, and doesn't interfere with the screen protector either. Plus its TPU, and covers all the sides of the phone. Really the best case out there IMO.

For what its worth, I got the i-Blason screen protector from Amazon and really like it. I've bought multiple screen protectors over the years for various phones, and this one is probably the best I've had, even better than Verizon ones (which are also really good). They seem overall the easiest to install, and are very clear. Can't even really tell the screen protector is on. Can't comment on how they will stand the test of time, since I've only had my Moto X a few days, but so far I really like them and would buy again.
I also use the Diztronic TPU case, and it doesn't interfere at all with these screen protectors, in fact I don't think it would with any screen protectors.

Received my sp today in the mail and I must first say I was very weary cause I've only used wet apply for years now as I was horrible at dry apply. I used the instructions provided and applied the sp using the hinge method. They provide everything needed including the tape, cleaning cloth and squeegee. It took me less than 3 minutes and it turned out perfect with no bubbles. I love it and I must say it feels so much better than the rubbery feel u get from the wet apply screen protectors. I would suggest this screen protector to anybody looking for an easy to apply protector with a beautiful finish.

I also received my TechMatte screen protector in the mail yesterday. I am pleasantly surprised with the product. The clarity and feel are excellent as is the fitment. The kit was very nice and included everything you need for a successful and clean install. Much like the OP I had the screen protector installed and bubble free within minutes of opening the packaging. The included tape for performing the hinge method of installation was very grippy and worked wonderfully. The microfiber cloth for precleaning the screen is also very nice and a good size. I also installed their HD screen protector on my Note 3 and am extremely pleased with those as well. I would not hesitate to recommend TechMatte's line of screen protectors to anyone looking for a screen protector for their device. Excellent quality at a great value. And they lifetime warranty their products and give free replacement if your screen protector becomes scratched or damaged. :good:
Does it feel cheap? I'm using an Illumnishield and it's okay, but attracts finger prints easily. Kinda makes your tablet look cheap.

I dont use screen protectors either. Same case you have. I use my tablet primarily as my cars entertainment center. It mounts right above my radio. I tether it to my s4 and have grandfathered UL data. I dont use even use the poetic case on it unless it leaves my car. I bought a small padded pouch for it to lock in my glove box when I get out of the car. Most of the time it stays there. If I take it somewhere I just pop it in my case. I dont feel the need for a screen protector honestly. The glass is already scratch resistent so.

As far as install goes i used the hinge method. First time and it went smoothly. I got bit of dust under the protector near the corner but was able to get the corner up and cleaned the dust. I thought I blew it.

I got a pack of Asus screen protectors. They are supposed to dry application. I chose the matte one. A friend of mine dry applied the screen protector, and left a bunch of bubbles, and a couple small creases. I washed the screen protector with some dish soap and hot water, and did a wet application. There is no dust or debris under the screen protector, and the only bubbles are because of the creases.
No bubbles here. They easily push to the sides.

Is it possible the touch sensitivity diminishes when the temp drops? I use my nexus as a GPS/map set up mounted on my motorcycle. Over the last few days I had quite a few dead taps when I was out riding in 45 to 55 F temps.
