I have a question. What is the most simple way to Root a LG Optimus G Pro?
I used this method, and it worked perfectly:

Make sure to follow the instructions step by step. No shortcuts!

Hey guys,
Just got my G3 yesterday after Jumping from the Nexus 5.
I was just curious, because I couldn't find anything after searching the Tmo G3 forum, is there any sort of guide to rooting the Tmo G3 manually? I understand PurpleDrake has his own root utility, which looks awesome, but I've always been one to want to see exactly what I'm doing to establish root. (I know it probably won't be as easy as rooting the Nexus 5 obviously)
If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.
Thanks guys
here follow this if you have windows.

and if you have mac and linux its very straightforward just follow purpledrake method
this is the easiest android phone to root ive ever encountered seriously.
i did it on my mac and no need for drivers, and few clicks on terminal and you are done
I rooted with the zedomax video method posted above. It's super easy and only takes like 5mins to do.
Im on D85120e how the hell can i root my phone???
By following the instructions in this thread...

You'll probably need to use the second method since you're on 20e.
tHANK YOU SO MUCH I'LL TRY IT!!!
I've tried all every method out there and I still can't get it to root. I asked for an RMA for my device because the charger port was finicky and now I want to root my new one because the stock DPI is terrible (540 FTW). No matter what I do it won't root. Purple Drake gives me a message saying my phone isn't vulnerable. Is there any way to downgrade to kit kat and then root? Any help is much appreciated.

You'll probably need to use the second method since you're on LP.

hi there im quite new to rooting and ive looked through many threads but dont seem to understand how to root my lg optimus g pro f240s and get lollipop, is there any threads that have a step by step guide on how to do it from scratch ?
Rooting Lg G Pro 240x, E98x.(4.2,4.3,4.4.2)
If you are on kitkat you need to follow this link to get your phone rooted.
http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2657504&d=1396115050
After downloading extract the zip file with any rar extractor like winrar and the rest.
Run the root.bat file and follow the steps in the command prompt.
You will have your phone rooted.
To check if your phone is rooted
You have to download root checker basic from the google play store.

Hi,
I'm unsure on which thread to follow to root my device for best outcome.
First link talks about steps that are in the following second link. It talks about following steps in 1,2,3 for example, but doesn't list all of them. I'm curious to know if by leaving some steps out would I make a mistake or what? Whereas the second link provides the root guide but with less information, and is not related to first thread and I assume is to guide you in rooting your device successfully. I hope I'm not confusing this.

EDIT
I have tried following first link, but sadly failed when entering a code. Would it be best to try second link and follow those steps? I don't want to be missing out valuable steps that could screw me over.
