Just wanted to know if any devs had anything like this since aosp roms with interactive governors give me the best performance/battery life..but I have lots of 4G problems on ALL aosp roms

This kernel is for CM7, but should work on any AOSP Rom.
I am maintaining this kernel from now on.
Known bugs
None
If any bugs are found I will add it here

I was playing around with this this morning, and installed it over my MIUI ROM. I wiped Dalvik first, and flashed it. MIUI didn't really like it, even though I was using jcase's 1.8 ghz CM7 kernel with it. It caused it to bootloop (or what appeared to be a bootloop), but came out of it and loaded the ROM after about 6 loops. It ran fine after that, but then on a reboot, caused a ton of lag.
I now have it running on CM7 fine. I didn't overclock it, and am getting 2200 Quadrant scores running the 'lagfree' gov. Very snappy.
I know this is probably a pretty general question, but how does this kernel compare to the stock CM7 kernel?

v2 is out.
Updated with version 3.
This looks great. I will try it out. Smart ass governor did wonders on my dinc1.
So let me be sure here, Im running the current CM7 offered here, I can just run this zip in recovery over my current Rom.
Its from jdkoreclipse, I won't be downloading

In case you are wondering whether or not to download this kernel, hopefully this will help.
Take a look at this guy's signature here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2355353
That sig highlights the conquests of user JDKoreclipse aka rr12106, droidhacker26, m0rt4l s0ul, romflash, & k_chupe.
This is relevant because the kernel in this thread is being hosted at jdkoreclipse.com.

I understand that, but I have been working with him for over 6 months and he has helped me learn when most people wouldn't even respond. He has been trying to make good with all he did in the past but no one will give him a chance. Well hell I don't need to apologize for him- so read this POST Now back to the kernel. I will be taking over development of this very soon, maybe this weekend.

Exactly, it seems he has apologized for his actions in the past, non the less everyone should be aware of the history before flashing one of his builds

Okay everyone, and let's get this thread back on topic. Has anyone else tried this with MIUI?

I was just about to ask the same thing.
This should work on any AOSP Rom.
As of what I know, Arco's Kernel doesnt support overclocking.
I found a few OC Kernels for Gingerbreak ROMS while browsing the forums.
Is there any OC Kernel for ICS ROMs ? Specifically CM9 Alpha 4 ?
Thanks
So far there is none but a few of the guys had shared their results using ICS with OC results at Antutu.
Suggest to ctc them if you can...coz they had modified the kernels themselves.....

Now to the kernel.
This kernel is for TW (stock based) JB roms only.
It will not work/boot with any of AOSP/AOKP/CM roms.
Current version is 0.4.3
This kernel is based on Samsung latest MA06 JB source
I'll be adding more features to and and will update thread as I go.
Flashed it on my phone. So far everything working.(2 hrs and counting).
- Upgraded to Linux version 3.0.71
- Available Schedulers
NOOP, CFQ, NOOP, DEADLINE, ROW, SIO - init.d support
- custom bootanimation support
- WiFi confirmed working.
- Added AGAT initlogo.lre
- Added Hotplug support. CPU1 is offline when is not needed.
- Available governors.
Adaptive, Lagfree, Ondemand, Performance, Hotplug, Userspace, Knoonservative - 64 GB SD Card support (don't have card to test it tho). Hope you guys can confirm it's working.
- OC'd to 1.97 GHz
- May be something else I can't recall.

Thanks AGAT, can't wait to see this thing oc'd:beer: i'm hoping for 2.1GHz fingers crossed...
Can't wait. Your kernel kept me from jumping to the JB leaks until clark44 just released his rom.

I don't know.
If sprint's rom/kernels running on it this might run as well
But try it at your own risk.
Already yes

Same here, I was really just waiting for source so I knew a custom kernel was close behind the roms
Version 0.2.0 is up and running,
Added few governors, hotplug support, Updated to linux 3.0.35.
Enjoy.
Does this support custom voltages? If so, what would be the recommended app for adjusting them

Agat, will you be updating this so that we can OC and UV in the future, I know that this is just the second version on JB but I loved what you did with the ICS version. Thanks in Advanced TIA.

Of course and that's the only governor that exhibits it so far in my testing.
So does this give better battery?

Have you tried Ktoonservative and Noop? This is what I am using and it is working fine. I am currently running a stress test using SetCPU and after 126891ms there were no errors from the CPU.

It should because if you use the correct governor it will ensure that the second CPU is in sleep mode unless it is needed to process phone requests. I have used Agat's kernel with ICS Roms like FreeGS3 and it has run great.

Just like the title stated, what kernel is compatible with AOKP JellyBean "Nightly" that will let me overclock my processor?
Ktoonez kernel is great. Has knots of schedulers and overclock up to 2.1ghz..my s3 has had no problem staying at those speeds for some time. Lean kernel is also good but I got random reboots with it. That one has very few schedulers and can oveclock up to 1.9 GHz. There are 2 more kernels for AOSP android. Check them out

Thanks for the link, however when I flashed it I cant seem to be able to able to overclock my processor, it is stuck at 1512mhz.
Also, I did download the Jelly Bean version of the kernel, the on and after 10/14 since my Rom was released on 10/21.
There is an app called KTweaker in there click on general and you should see the option enable oc options.
