Hi all, I really tried searching everywhere in the forum to solve my issue and I couldn't find anything specific, so I'll try and explain what's happened to me:
This is the first time I tried to install custom roms in my kindle, so I instaled TWRP and FFF and went to install the Rom I downloaded. I had an error message and just couldn't install it... So I wen't to restore my stock backup and just couldn't either. I then tried to install the stock firmware and what happened is that it didn't install the stock firmware properly!
So I'm stuck at the boot logo image, with no OS and no TWRP, FFF, Root or anything... I connect the kindle to my pc (windows) and open kindle fire utility (0.9.9) and I get ADB Status: Online but Boot Status: Unknown... When I try to reinstall TWRP, KFU tries to reboot it in fast boot mode but gets stuck at waiting for device...
How the hell can I get access to my kindle so I can install TWRP again???

I'm guessing you didn't factory reset in recovery before restoring the stock firmware? You need a factory cable.
same issue but I have twrp and fff on mine
When i got the kindle it had nipad ( everything was in chineese) and stock rom (english) installed. the stock rom kept having errors. I installed twrp and fff on the kindle. during the stock install I must have wiped the os some how. when I try to flash the rom it errors, see attached picture. now it won't go past the kindle fire logo unless i put it in recovery. Thank you for any help.

If anyone can point me to a post that might help me that would be great. I have used kfu to root and install twrp and FFF on multiple KF's. For some reason I can't get to TWRP through FFF on one of them. When it's booting and the light goes dim in FFF I press power- it goes orange, then the KF just reboots. When it reboots it is not stuck at FFF it just reboots normal.
I know TRWP is installed because I can get to it through the KFU by "install latest TWRP recovery". That starts TWRP on my KF but that is the only way I can get to TWRP- with it hooked to my PC using KFU.
MY KF is rooted/ stock 6.3
Have you tried installing TWRP manually?
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using xda premium
same problem with me!that's what i always do when flashing to a new rom.i've read quite a lot from here and they say its due to twrp not installing not properly.
please don't try to flash to other rom first cause it is dangerous. If your kfu cant detect your kf,then you will have a tough time to flash back your original rom.
i myself is in trouble now.
To both of you: I'm willing to bet that you guys have the stock recovery installed in the recovery partition and not TWRP. When you select recovery in the FFF bootloader, it's booting into the stock recovery which is designed to run a set of commands and then reboot automatically into the system. In addition, I'd also bet that you have TWRP 2.1.0 in your KFU folder. The developer of KFU at one point jumped the gun on the new version of TWRP which needs to be installed in a different manner than version 2.0.0. If you guys would take the time to learn to use fastboot manually and not depend on KFU to do this, you could install the latest version of TWRP (version 2.1.1) and not have these problems.
To jhaz: If you delete your KFU folder and download KFU again, I'm confident that you can do the same as you did on your other Kindle Fire devices to get the old version of TWRP installed.
To chaukeng: You are in a different boat because you won't get adb working on gedeROM without reinstalling your device drivers manually. gedeROM requires different device driver settings and the explanation for the reason why is way beyond the scope of this post. You can redownload KFU like I suggested to jhaz, try to follow the 2nd post in the Beginners Guide to install the drivers manually and then hope that KFU can install TWRP for you so you can reflash a new ROM... OR you can learn to use fastboot, get the FFF bootloader to stay in fastboot mode by stopping the temporary fastboot countdown, and flash TWRP manually so you can reflash a new ROM. What I just said probably makes very little sense to you, but all the information you need to understand this is in the Beginners Guide. If you study it carefully, you'll get all the information you need to fix your device. KFU is going to be of little use to you right now. You'll need to get your hands dirty a bit.
Kinfauns- That did the trick thanks so much for your help.
Hi, first of all, sorry for my poor english
So i installed succesfully the root and twrp with the kindle fire utility, so i installed a custom ROM, but when i rebooted de KF, the triangle logo just disappeared and i could not get more in the twrp.
In a moment of madness, i tried to boot the twrp using goo manager, but when i rebooted the kindle fire was stuck at cyanogen mode, i am just desperate, please help me!!!!!!!!!!!
did you wipe fully before installing the rom? Go back (in kfu) and reinstall root ,fff ,twrp , this time wipe fully ,re install the rom , It will be long wait , be patient the cyangen wheel spins forever ,just wait it will load
I have a bad feeling I know the answer to this already, but I'm gonna hold my breath and see.
Original Kinle Fire, rooted with TWRP. I installed stock 4.3 modded for the Kindle Fire, but when booting it showed half of the word "ANDROID" on the screen and just hung there. So I flashed the stock Kindle Fire rom (update, zip). Then immediately after flashing it, I thought, hey I didn't try wiping the cache before flashing 4.3. So I wiped the cache and flashed 4.3. Rebooted and it was still hung on the boot screen, but now I have no TWRP to recover from. The kindle stock rom killed root access and custom bootloader. I hooked it up to the Kindle Fire Utility and it shows offline. So no ADB, no custom recovery... Anyone know a super magic trick?
*SOLVED*
Looks like I need a factory cable.
ok i have a 2nd gen kindle and managed to root and install bootloader but when i select recovery it just hangs on booting? i reflashed an older version of twrp still same thing? (solved)
Wait how did you fix it? I'm having the same problem!
I rooted it using this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2075959, and then I used this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...light=recovery, to add twrp so I can flash CM. Everything seemed to go well except that I am unable to enter recovery mode. When booting normally it works fine and loads into the kindle OS but obviously, I want to replace that. I have tried searching the forums and trying a few different things but so far nothing has worked.
I've tried to flash back to stock with TWRP 2.2.2.1 I believe the version and I flashed the official stock 6.3.2 and everything appeared to go well when I noticed it stayed on that screen for a bit longer than it should and it never booted up properly. The devices is recognized by my PC in the name 'kindle' so ADB drivers are working properly and my device is not bricked completely :silly:
Did you do a factory wipe before install?
No reason to install 6.3.2 anyways, once it connects to wifi it will download and auto install 6.3.3.
Think you will need to flash fff bootloader/twrp and try again, or try my prerooted 6.3.3 zip
