Try using an app like NetLive or Internet Speed Meter to check if your data is working on other apps like chrome (and on these apps)
NetLive - shows live data usage in notification and widget with the app using the data - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.richardlucasapps.netlive
Internet Speed Meter - shows live data usage in notification bar - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.internet.speed.meter.lite
If that doesn't work, try asking your service provider to send you settings, or configure them manually.
When I installed CM10 on my Xperia ST26i, data settings were completely missing and I had to enter them manually, it's been working great since.
Ookie i reverted back too stock d issue ws only wid whatsapp not wid other apps like chrome and browsing ws faster wid play store faster than stock rom

Ya that app basically sucks. Went back to using the browser and just staying logged in....
I have noticed today that my Instant upload has stopped working.
The sync icon under account settings wont move and the G+ setting for selecting WIFI or MOBILE wont save - it always reverts to WIFI only.
Anyone got any ideas - i cant uninstall as my GN2 isn't rooted (yet)
Thanks
EDIT - I have discovered that if I uninstall the latest G+ update, instant upload works again
Well mine is mot working either

Is it only me or all galaxy grands can't sync candy crush to facebook using packet data? I'm currently on balli's gennext rom. I have no problem syncing using WiFi but when I use data, it says no internet connection. My brother, has no problem for both WiFi and 3G data on his HTC Sensation. We are both using the same network carrier. What seems to be the problem? Unfortunately I don't have WiFi access and forced to play it on my laptop all the time.

This issue happened if your data network is not using SIM 1. If you are using SIM 2 as data connection, Candy Crush will unable to connect to Facebook.
Same as mine, but I am using stock ROM.

Hi all,
I've had this issue for the entire time I've had my GS3 - on stock or custom roms. Essentially, in order for me to send or receive an MMS message, my wifi has to be off (disconnected) and I have to have data on.
If my wifi is connected and I have mobile data toggled on, mms still doesn't work. On prior phones it would briefly enable 3G to send/receive the MMS, but on the GS3, I have to fully toggle off wifi and make sure 1x/3G is on to MMS.
Any solutions to this? Is there a setting that I'm missing here?
Thanks!
What rom are you on? Because as long as data is on it will work regardless of whether wifi is on or not. I assume from your issue that you are on an aosp rom?

You could try GoSMS, I can recieve and send MMS over WiFi.

Yes.. id try wiping wiping...then flash a freshly downloaded rom.....i have tried lots of kernals...roms....and i always use wifi here in my house..calls and messages work just fine.... i WILL SAY THIS.. back when i was using froyo.. there was an option to disable data when wifi was in use but i have never seen that on the s3 or any other roms after froyo..

Of course you can toggle data off when on wifi. Any phone should be able to do this. I know for a fact the S3 you can togle data off when on Wi-Fi. But regardless as long as your data is on you should be able to send and receive MMS at any time regardless if wifi is on or not.
Now if your using an aosp rom you could have an issue handling the exchange between wifi and data. There is no aosp rom for our device so everything is built on leaks and ports and patched together. So they do have some issues handling the exchange.

MSG & Chubbz v5.0.2
When both Data & Wifi are toggled on (and Wifi is connected), MMS won't send/receive. If Wifi is off and Data is On, then it's fine. It's been this way on both roms I've ever run on my GS3; the current one (listed above & in my sig) and Freeza's GalaxyS Fre3.
Well that has to be a rom issue because stock rom and almost every TW rom will do this no problems. Mine works perfectly on the stock TW rom and on TPR. Unless you have some type of app like juicedefender or something like that which is shutting down your data and it will never recognize the messaging app trying to toggle the data to send an MMS because it happens in a split second.

I just quit running that ROM for the longest time, never once had this problem.
EDIT-I forgot to mention I was using the AOSP messaging app for TouchWiz-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950443. I would make a backup before you try this, because it replaces the stock messaging app.
Hi
Any application exist that we can make some apps not to use Internet data???
Because my problem is I will buy only 100mb data for one month just because of whatsapp chatting but some other apps like Facebook linked in and some other system update apps consume lot of data and it will be over within 15 days, so how can I make other apps not to use my Internet, if it is possible normal setting please suggest me???

You can use mobiwall app from playstore and it has option for blocking apps internet usage for both wifi and mobile data.

don't need an extra app
you don't need an extra app... :
Settings -> Data usage
Down there's a list with apps -> tick one and then on the bottom there is "Restrict Background data" to prevent apps using the mobile connection.
Another way is rooting and use AFWall+ from fdroid repository
