I have asked in a tread a few days back, but the post just got lost.
Please, could some of the early adopters (akak guinipigs) of leaked 4.3 test if Bluetooth Low Energy is functioning.
I guess you need a BT LE device like Heart rate monitor.
I know that connection with Samsung Gear has been confirmed but as far as I know that only confirms Bluetooth 4.0 and not explicitly Bluetooth Smart/LE.
I would be so glad if someone could confirm this.
Thank you in advance.

My understanding is Gear works only on LE BT connection . So I am pretty sure the answer is 'yes'

You maybe right there.
But I would feel more confident ordering a Bluetooth LE sensor (HRM or Speed/cadence or pedometer etc.) if someone else confirms that it works.
Hey mate I stumbled across this android page, may give you more piece of mind

Not to be a party pooper but when you write "Just thrust me", it's almost as if you're asking for it.
Ha, splendid! Good job. I wonder if there are any noticable side effects. I don't have my tp2 yet - so it will be interesting to read what everyone's experience is.
The first question that comes to mind: will the radio work _without_ the earbuds plugged in?
Woohoo! Is it HTC radio application with tweaks or is it a new app that you developed?
Great work regardless and thanks in advance.

I thought as much. Bummer, I hoped it would have worked without them. So no bluetooth wireless radio or radio-on-speakerphone I guess.
But it's still great to have radio capability. I'll install this on my pro 2 when it arrives for sure. Thanks a lot for your work!
THanks, working perfectly

Maybe. Last phone I had with FM Radio was a Nokia 6230i. It too needed the earbuds plugges in as the acted as the antenna. However, you could play the radio through the loudspeaker. Maybe you just need the earbuds connected, and it will then play through whatever audio output you want? Course you would have a wire coming off the device....
*maybe* this device is now back on against my preference of the Acer M900.....
Oh decisions..... honestly, whats the build quality like? Its always been awefull with HTC devices (had four, all have failed at one point or another)
Nice one

For people who have tried this, Are there any side effects? e.g higher battery consumption? I wouldn't have thought it consumed anything extra when radio isn't on. I want to know why HTC decided not to include it on release?
Hey guys - does anyone have tips on how to get the Galaxy Gear up and working on the M8? I've tried with very little luck. Thanks for any help!

I know it's been working on other devices. I think the limitation is Bluetooth 4.0 LE, which the M8 ships with. Just wondering if anyone has made any more progress than I have.

Cool, thanks for sharing the fix. I had thought about getting one but ended up getting the Sony since I knew everything would work. If the price drops low enough on these since the new ones are out I may still end up snagging one up since you figured it out.

Watch Best Buy daily deals - I picked mine up for $150. Having the camera on my wrist is pretty cool! I still can't get notifications, but I'll update when those are working.
Hi there guys,
I'm thinking of purchase a bluetooth heart rate monitor but all of them say that they need Android 4.3(not a problem) and Bluetooth 4.0. Our phones don't have bluetooth 4.0 (not even close)
Does anyone know if it will work? ..is should have compatibility but I don't know for sure. Anyone tried that before or had a friend who tried it?
no one has an experience with that? ..oh dear, probably I'll be the only one to try this

Well, I've moved on to the GNex and according to the spec sheet, it has the BT 4.0. However, it never receved the SW to support it. The BT 4.0 devices just wouldn't work with it... Some did however, but only via BT 2.x... There had been enormous work done to enable 4.0 and now it can be enabled.
The best way to go about your purcuse is to ask the sailsmen to tryout the device and try to pair it with your phone. If it works, buy it, if not, skip it

I'm in a small city so try before you buy is out of question. I did the purchase ..when it comes(15-30 days ..China ) I'll test it
If it doesn't work, I'll test it with a friend's note 2 and see what happens, it should work at least with note 2 as it has BT 4.0
P.S. If oneplus one becomes available, I'll retire my DHD :victory: (also Oneplus one has BT4.1)
Hi guys,
Hope I am not wrong in posting this thread, if I am then just remove it.
I have a SEAT Leon mark 3 and ever since I bought it the infotainment system has not once been updated in regards to software. It does have a software update section but it doesn't say anywhere to check for updates. I have tried google and cant find anything, any help please?
Thank you.
my gf "just" got a leon (2014 facelift) too, nice drive by the way.
why do you want to update anthing? i think updates will only be distributed if there is a really big error in the device/software ... and there will (in my experience) NEVER be new features for something they already sold ... buy a new car in 3 years is the deal here
by the way the speed recognition is a major pain as its extremely slow ... everything else is OK from what i can tell.

actually i meant to write *SPEECH* recognition instead of speed ... sorry for that
anyway yeah ive seen some VWs with friends & family, big/small nav-devices. never a really up-to-date functionality, CPU almost always too slow if you are used to a top smartphone/tablet ... but the units work for some good 10 years.
the future belongs to mirrorlink or whatsoever its called, smartphones are just faster and are being replaced at least every 2 years by the user.
cheers!
Hi guys, just a question about BT connection, probably It's the same on all BT system, I don't know, but why It's not possible to connect two devices (for example 2 smartphone) at the same time?
I have to switch and connect only one of them every time, It's a BT protocol or depends from SEAT software?
Thank you!

it is only possible to connect one (1) device at the same time.
i do not know if it is a BT protocol thing or just a restriction in the SEAT software, but it is the same with pretty much every headunit i know... (VW/AUDI/SKODA/SEAT, Mercedes, BMW, Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer...)
i guess it is like that because modern BT connections also get the phonebook and 2 simultaneuos connections would mix that up ...
in my opinion this makes perfect sense unless you really need 2 phone personally.
start thinking about a dual-sim-phone if you really need this.

Humm.. maybe!
The updates for the car radio is bringed by seat, but at the moment, seat no have updates.
Also, Seat is oferring a new model of radio card with mirror link
As a person who works in the automotive industry, I can only tell you that most, if not all updates are only possible in a service. On another note, updates rarely, if ever, bring new features.
So the only thing you could do is go to your local official VW service (or one where you know someone) and ask for an update. Be prepared to pay some good $$$ for getting a few (unnoticed) bugs squashed.
Here you can find the software updates for your 5F w w w.clubseatleon.n e t/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=118140, it's a spanish froum, use translator
well if anyone need i found a update for the mib 1 and the mib2 screens
it can update to version 480 for the mib 1 and 0330 for the mib 2
you can find the interstions and the files in the link below
have fun and thanks would be welcome

Random Question.
I updated my 5F0 MIB1 Unit to 480 in early January but since then my TMC Traffic hasn't worked - That's the "Traffic Button" it just contantly says "No Reports Found" but a guy 10 miles away receives loads.
Any quick fixes for this?
Hello, can someone post that 480 SW file for download, all the old loinks are dead...
Hi everyone,
So it seems that someone yesterday had questions/complaints along the similar lines as mine; however, I just wanted to put this out there so it could be forwarded to the development team as well. I recently purchased a Bebeoncool bluetooth gamepad to use for gaming on my 1-day-old Nextbit Robin but have had no luck. I'm able to get the gamepad to connect and it shows the gamepad icon (as opposed to a keyboard, etc.) but no matter what input setting on the controller I choose I cannot elicit any sort of functionality. I connected the gamepad to my Note7 and it worked perfectly fine--I was able to navigate the screens on my phone and play various games with gamepad support. Any ideas? Perhaps there's a bug that needs to be straightened out.
If you're wondering what I'm referring to in my opening statement, search the Nextbit Robin forums for "Trouble with connecting a bluetooth mouse with a Nextbit Robin. Any tips/suggestions?"
Hopefully this is an issue the dev team can straighten out soon--seems simple enough. I will be [very reluctantly] turning in my Note7 to T-Mobile later this week and want to continue my mobile gaming!
Look forward to pushing my Robin to the limits!
Thanks,
Josh
Same problem here
Hey Josh, any luck about this matter? I have the exact same problem but with an ipega 9025 bluetooth controller. Any sort of hint would be very appreciated :good:

Hey raftudela,
So since I made this post, I had a conversation with a Nextbit rep. We all agreed that it was a software issue rather than a hardware issue. Per their last message to me:
"It looks like I received a response from our engineering team sooner than I thought!
They are aware of this issue, but right now it doesn't seem to be a priority in resolving it as we have an extremely high demand for Android 7.0 from our customers. As I mentioned before, it's possible that this will be addressed when we update to 7.0, but maybe not.
Engineering is definitely aware of the issue and will work on it as soon as possible; however, I simply don't have a timeline for when that will happen."
Looks like we are out of luck until the Android 7.0 Nougat update! Even then it seems we are not going to be guaranteed compatibility ; thus, I've just ordered a Pixel XL and moved on with my life. This was kind of the plan for me anyways as the Robin was a cheap phone to use after I turned in my Note 7!
Well, Sh*t
Thanks for your reply, Josh.
Looks like I'll have to do something similar then. It's a shame, I really like the Robin
Cheers mate!
Hey fellas, I've been having this issue also and there are at least 2 confirmed responses of gamepads working on the nougat beta over on the Nextbit forums. I just got the Robin a few weeks ago and haven't flashed any roms yet. Maybe it's working on omni.

Hi, this is making me nuts. I've googled, checked youtube ,the bebencool site and can find nothing. I have a bebencool bluetooth controller that pairs with my Galaxy S8 plus and it finds it and it pairs but will not connect, I get a message saying "can not connect to bluetooth while acting as an input device" . Has anyone encountered this and knows how to fix it maybe? BTW I'm trying to use it with my Samsung Gear VR.
Thanks
