Hi Guys!
I'm using the stock Sense 5 rom. After I have updated to this rom I have serious problems with my phone such as random reboots and sometimes a cannot recieve calls but my phone shows almost full singal strength.
I have tried factory reset and everything.
If someone could help me I would appreciate it.
ps: I would rather stick with stock rom.

Try wipe system cache and dalvik cache.
Btw, you updated to stock 4.2.2 with sense 5 via ota or manual flashing? The latter often has problem due to incorrect flashing steps or bad source file (wrong/corrupted).

As I remember I cannot wipe cache in HBOOT. Should I do it with fastboot, shouldn't I?

Are you unlocked the bootloader are you have warranty? I think the factory recovery can do this go in recovery and after this press volume up + power button onse short
If everything works fine after wipe, do a nandroid backup of rom and save it for future stock restoration when needed.

Yes, thought he knows that unlock bootloader might void warranty. But it's always good to tell.

Yes, I already unlocked my bootloader. The factory recovery cannot do this. And in fastboot I only can wipe the cache, the dalvik-cache cannot be wiped remotely.

In this case install Philz recovery extract from zip recovery.img and put in your fastboot folder go in bootloader and use the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img after this go in recovery and wipe dalvik and cashe but if factory reset didn't help I am not shure this will!

It doesn't matter what directory your rom is in when you flash it. But do what mintaeroboy said and just reflash the rom.
You COULD go to mounts and storage, mount your SD card to your computer if you really want to move the downloaded rom out of the downloaded folder.
Ok thanks

Read the instructions in the op of stangs rom. It clearly states you must wipe everything in mounts and storage except sd and emmc and also wipe dalvik-cache in the advanced menu.

Can I get more info, like which rom did you flash, and how did you root your phone, what process did you take? Did you do wipes prior to flashing. Thanks, will try to help you out.
Go back into recovery and flash your backup or use Odin to flash a stock rom, your just in a bootloop. You mustve flashed a bad download.

Seanster_GBaxe EX v1.4.1:Taste of ICS is the rom... pretty much used odin to install cwm base recovery 5.0.2.6 I dont think i wipe prior to flashing. Once I installed the rom it booted fine but everything was slow and my phone kept getting errors, so then i went back in cwm and wiped all the data, now when i try to install the rom again it just takes like 5 seconds to install, i reboot the phone but it keeps going into a loop.... at this point i am pretty lost. I am new to this stuff... :/
How do i download this rom/kernel/mod........

On a more helpful note just wipe and reflash another rom or a backup if you have it, if that fails odin to the stock rooted rom.

Did you goninto recovery and wipe cache dalvik and permissions. Or even better just factory reset after installing stock rom. Odin to stock doesnt faxtory reset your phone. Old files could still be lingering in there.

Try redownloading the rom, then in recovery make sure you are A. Wipe Factory Data Reset, B. Wipe Cache, C. Advanced Menu Wipe Dalvik D. Advanced Menu Wipe Battery Stats, E. Mounts/Storage Format Cache, System, Boot, Emmc, Then flash the Rom.
Silly question but are you installing 1.4 before flashing 1.4.1? Cause I think that ROM needs the 1.4 full flashed prior to flashing 1.4.1.

Then flash the Rom - Go into Odin and Select the file(click pda), then click start - correct?

I have been researching all day trying to figure out how to get CM10 root to work properly. Each time I install it all of the features work fine, but I lack root access. I am able to root using the stock rom whether it be by using cwm or flashing using odin. Each time that I flash I always make sure to clear cache, do factory reset, and wipe the Dalvik cache. I have also attempted to use twrp instead of cwm, that yielded a bit different results; it would notify me when wifi was available and I had the CM updater, which I did'nt have before.
In all cases root access has been missing though. As far as I know CM had root access built in so I'm a bit confused as to what I can do. Any suggestions on what to do would be great, and if you need more information feel free to ask.
Thank you,
SqueakyP

Yes, I have the latest superuser, also tried getting the latest supersu. I only used one manager at a time. Both of them were unable to update the su binary due to lacking root access.
I am also unable to use the "su" command in terminal due to access being denied

So I should just flash the rom without doing factory reset beforehand?
root the phone.
Which should give you clockwork.
Install Rom manager.
Download the latest cm10 nightly
Flash.

You've already made your phone compatible with cm10 by factory resetting once.
But the order you are trying to do things in is stealing your root access.

When installing using rom manager should I leave "wipe data & cache" checked or unchecked?
No. but you may need to boot into recovery and manually wipe the cache and davlik cache. I believe wipe data does a factory reset.
...I would download the zip file from get.cm and install it from recovery rather than from clockwork in Android as I've had MUCH better success installing ROM's that way but that's me...
It's a miracle! I installed cm10 using rom manager and left the wipe data and cache box unchecked. Then when it tried to boot it would stay at the boot logo, left it for about 10 min. Then I cleared only the cache; got the same results. Then I used the wipe data/factory reset option cwm recovery, flashed cm10, and then gapps. After that it booted up and surprisingly enough it was rooted.
Since the rooting was successfully done even though I wiped the data prior to install there are only a few possibilities as to why this happened:
I had the wrong zip to flash (I obtained it from the official posting for the sgh-t999 todays nightly build)
I was using the wrong cwm recovery (T-mobile S3 touch cwm obtained via cwm website)
Or I just needed to flash twice with wipes in-between to ensure that no files were left over from the stock rom.
Either way, it's working now and I'm glad, thanks for the help c:

Yeah, I much prefer doing it manually only using CWM recovery, I used to use it on my triumph, so all the problems I was having blew me away.
I used the All in one toolkit to unlock my bootloader. I have tried a variety of ROMs and Kernels to no avail. Is there something simple that I am missing?
HTC One V CDMA
Kernel's tried
SuperSick and Jmz-primoc
ROMs tried
CM09, CM10, PACman
1. Flash boot.img(the kernel) in fastboot.
2. Go into recovery and perform full wipe factory reset, wipe eaxhe partition, wipe dalvik cache.
3. Flash ROM. Then boot.
Follow this correctly and it should work perfectly.....

Tried it out. No luck. Still the same. Boots fine, but WiFi won't turn on.
I tried it this evening with Jmz-PrimoC and PACman again.
Any other ideas?
Make sure the kernels are compatible with the ROMs u use

In philz go under wipe cache partition and select yes.Go back to main menu and click on advanced and click on wipe dalvik cache. Now reboot your phone and see if it goes past the boot screen. If still doesn't succeed then go to wipe data/factory reset(will wipe the internal phone memory,so will lose everything) and you need to reflash your stock rom via odin(if downloaded from sammobile) and re root your phone. or if it's a flashable zip file you can reflash it via philz recovery.
