I know what I did. I didn't take the rom out of the download folder but my phone is still stuck in recovery and the stock android loader so how would I be able to change this?

It doesn't matter what directory your rom is in when you flash it. But do what mintaeroboy said and just reflash the rom.
You COULD go to mounts and storage, mount your SD card to your computer if you really want to move the downloaded rom out of the downloaded folder.

Ok thanks

Read the instructions in the op of stangs rom. It clearly states you must wipe everything in mounts and storage except sd and emmc and also wipe dalvik-cache in the advanced menu.

Basic knowledge, research before doing any ROM,

Helpppp pleaseeee

I really need some help. I have no idea what has happened to my phone. Anything I d/l from the market or from the computer fc on my phone. I can't use anything. I tried flashing other roms but any ROM I flash just keeps looping the boot image over n over. Even when I try to restore one of my back ups from recovery it does the same it says error while formating data. Then Wen I reboot it just loops the boot image as well. I've tried everything I can think of. If this has happened to anyone please let me know.

By boot image do you mean "splash screen" and "boot animation?" Can you get back to recovery? If so, which recovery and version? If clockworkmos, make sure it's at least 3.0.0.7 or later if your Inc has an amoled screen, 3.0.0.8 if it's SLCD.
If you can get to recovery, power off the phone. Pull the sd card and check that your computer can read it and it's formatted FAT32.
If so, put a clean copy of a ROM on the root of the SD card. Reinsert it in the phone. Boot to hboot (you are running hboot 0.92 right!?) and then to recovery.
In recovery, factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik, then flash the ROM.
If you're running an older hboot and/or older recovery, see elsewhere on XDA how to update those first.

Have you tried flashing stock froyo and then doing a factory reset from hboot? And by stock froyo i mean the official ruu with stock recovery.
Next time you try to do a wipe, also go into mounts and storage and format boot, data, system, and cache. This happened to me once and this seemed to fix my problem. Now I do it every time.
Tried a different sd card?

Can I get more info, like which rom did you flash, and how did you root your phone, what process did you take? Did you do wipes prior to flashing. Thanks, will try to help you out.
Go back into recovery and flash your backup or use Odin to flash a stock rom, your just in a bootloop. You mustve flashed a bad download.

Seanster_GBaxe EX v1.4.1:Taste of ICS is the rom... pretty much used odin to install cwm base recovery 5.0.2.6 I dont think i wipe prior to flashing. Once I installed the rom it booted fine but everything was slow and my phone kept getting errors, so then i went back in cwm and wiped all the data, now when i try to install the rom again it just takes like 5 seconds to install, i reboot the phone but it keeps going into a loop.... at this point i am pretty lost. I am new to this stuff... :/
How do i download this rom/kernel/mod........
Oh thats right its in the wrong section ah thats it no wonder i couldnt figure it out (sarcasm)

On a more helpful note just wipe and reflash another rom or a backup if you have it, if that fails odin to the stock rooted rom.

Did you goninto recovery and wipe cache dalvik and permissions. Or even better just factory reset after installing stock rom. Odin to stock doesnt faxtory reset your phone. Old files could still be lingering in there.

i did that and the same thing is happening, this blows
Try redownloading the rom, then in recovery make sure you are A. Wipe Factory Data Reset, B. Wipe Cache, C. Advanced Menu Wipe Dalvik D. Advanced Menu Wipe Battery Stats, E. Mounts/Storage Format Cache, System, Boot, Emmc, Then flash the Rom.
Silly question but are you installing 1.4 before flashing 1.4.1? Cause I think that ROM needs the 1.4 full flashed prior to flashing 1.4.1.

can you give me a link to a stock ROM? the one i am using is SGH-T989-Stock-UVKID
so then I do what you just told me
A. Wipe Factory Data Reset, B. Wipe Cache, C. Advanced Menu Wipe Dalvik D. Advanced Menu Wipe Battery Stats, E. Mounts/Storage Format Cache, System, Boot, Emmc,
Then flash the Rom - Go into Odin and Select the file(click pda), then click start - correct?
Follow this to get to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462870
if phone isnt stock and you still have files there then do factory reset from phone or stock recovery.

MetroPCS Wildfire S recovery issue and bootloop problem.

Hello folks,
Ok here is my problem. First my phone is a Marvelc EVT1 / S-On RL, my Bootloader is "unlocked"
I was foolishly exploring the options in TitaniumBackup Pro and selected the clear dalvik cache and the disassociate dalvik from system (a dumb move, I know). So when I restarted my phone it got caught up in a bootloop from the MetroPCS splash screen to the HTC boot screen. I can get into HBoot just fine however, when I select factory reset, it goes into the factory install screen, then reboots into the bootloop process. When I select recovery I get into the recovery menu and can select reboot, install update from SD, wipe cache/factory reset or clear user info, but still even after doing all of that and selecting reboot, it goes back into bootloop. I didnt have clockwork installed because I thought Titanium would suffice as a backup utility.
Ive looked a few custom mods but I can't figure how to get them on my phone without access to the Android UI. I kinda figure that my phone is not a total lost cause because when I connect it via USB, the Android Composite Interface device as well as a hard drive icon appears when I connect the phone via USB. So I'm really desperate for some comprehensive instructions on fixing this issue if it is even possible. Any help would be super.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
EDIT: removed picture.
Obviusly the OP managed to edit his post to more than "Hello folks"
Maybe you could fast boot flash clockwork with adb then flash one of insinks metro roms (just an idea I don't know to much about this)
Sent from my HTC_A510c using Tapatalk
You need to fastboot clockwork mod recovery onto your phone, then from cwm you need to wipe your cache, dalvick cache and factory reset the device. After that place the rom if your choice on your sdcard and flash it. Follow the thread for your rom for specific roms

Thanks a ton for your info. I'll try that however every CW mod tutorial I've read always assumes that I had access to the android GUI. So I didn't understand how i could actually install it to phone. Your words are encouraging and I don't feel that this is a lost cause. Back to the research table/drawing board.
Thank again,
Gary

problems flashing roms, big problems.

I don't know what caused it... but no matter what rom I flash it seems that it always gets through the bootup screens and then gets stuck on the samsung screen, and won't load into a custom rom. It seems like something happened to my system and I have tried everything and nothing it working. I can only run with the stock rom it came with and thats it.
I have no clue whats going on. When I flash from ROM to ROM I take these steps.
1- put rom on SD card
2- nandroid
3- factory wipe from recovery
4- wipe cache
5- wipe dalvik
6- flash rom
7- flash gapps (if on AOSP based)
8- reboot.
I have went back to stock via odin, then reflashed via odin, repushed the recovery, basically started from scratch and nothing is letting me install a new rom. Wasn't really having any problems until today... any ideas? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
edit- I was thinking, I did ALOT of debloating at the beginning using the aroma debloater, and did some minor debloating myself.. I wouldn't think this would have anything to do with a new rom because when I wipe everything it does a fresh install of everything... So I am stuck.

Yes. Although if you're updating a rom i.e. cm or aokp a cache/dalvik cache wipe will do (unless stated otherwise).

see my main thing was everyone was talking about how if I was going from a modded stock rom to a modded stock rom there would not need anything except cache wipes... and i still get hung..:/
I recommended backing up all of your data, do a factory reset, then go back to stock with an Odin package from development. From there you can root or whatever you please.

[Q] Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS not working after root/flash kernal/flash rom

I used the All in one toolkit to unlock my bootloader. I have tried a variety of ROMs and Kernels to no avail. Is there something simple that I am missing?
HTC One V CDMA
Kernel's tried
SuperSick and Jmz-primoc
ROMs tried
CM09, CM10, PACman
1. Flash boot.img(the kernel) in fastboot.
2. Go into recovery and perform full wipe factory reset, wipe eaxhe partition, wipe dalvik cache.
3. Flash ROM. Then boot.
Follow this correctly and it should work perfectly.....
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Thanks, I'll try in a little bit.

Tried it out. No luck. Still the same. Boots fine, but WiFi won't turn on.
I tried it this evening with Jmz-PrimoC and PACman again.
Any other ideas?
Make sure the kernels are compatible with the ROMs u use
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
To get working Bluetooth and WIFI, you will need to flash the kernel zip file in your recovery.
