[Q] A real challenge for you guys...

Well, first of all hello to everyone.
the issue is that i updated some app and the smartphone lost all signal, then i checked the IMEI and it appear this 00000000000, so i was like what happened?
Then i started reading and i should have a EFS folder so i can recover my phone but nothing, my phone is rooted and using root explorer and looking everywhere i can NOT find EFS folder.
What can i do then to recover my original IMEI? My Gio is dead? Thanks in advance.

Try installing a custom.rom maybe i dunno honesrly

Well, installing a modified or stock ROM didn´t work, will have to take it to a service center but guarantee is already over so i think i will start saving to buy a new phone Thanks for the help.

i think the repair cost wont be so expensive..
so why dont you repair it first before buying a new one??

Service center won't be able to fix you imei, no one can. You have to get a New phone unless you backed up your efs folder...

Service center can bring back your imei.. My friend has the same problem,get the phone to the service center,and it fixed..
I wont say it if there are no proof..

Maybe service centre can fix it if the guy made a note of imei number otherwise buying a new phone is an only option left

Unlocking AT&T SAMSUNG GALAXY 3

So confuse, so can the AT&T SGH3 (1747UCLH9 , IMM76D) be manually unlocked?Or I have to get a code?

But nv_data.bin is nowhere to be found in the EFS folder.

[Q] Please Help!! IMEI IS GONE!!

So i have a note 2 I bought on eBay and it worked fine for about 3 days and I factory erased the phone today and my imei is "00" and it wont let me make any calls or use data. Helppp mee! Is there any way to change it back to my original imei.

Did you try flashing the boot.img file from the Dev' forum?

Odin back to stock. If that doesn't work ,Try using this program on your pc I used it to backup. Disclamer: its not posted for our phone , That being said I fixed my gs3 that lost its imei. .http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117 .. There's even a YouTube video step by step

What else did you do in addition to factory reset...aka what were you trying to do

This phone does not have RMNET as a setting choice under that menu.

You are correct i will run the program again when i get home ( at the aquarium with the family) BTW its similar what I presses

I didn't lose my imei but I did on my s3 and this fixed, now b4 people say this is a different phone... I ran the program and backed up my imei . After that I ran the imei generator program and typed in my imei The program pooped (lol the same file that I backed up....

By pooped do you mean it did or didn't work? I can't get the program to connect to my phone with any of these modem settings. Please let me know if you have luck with that.

it worked you need to press the "start orb"----> right click computer-----> manage-----> device manager---> Ports...Find samsung port # input in program:good::good: pm me if you cant get it to work ill help Edit: Sorry i didnt get back sooner someone ( my son, my finance daughter took my phone and i cant find it)

Not yet, I'm in the middle of work before the holiday and can't risk borking my phone if I mess up. I'll experiment tomorrow afternoon.

Np well ur phones not broke. So what your doing is just backing up ur folder so it wont hurt it . Just reading off of not changing anything ..

There's 2 programs you can run, one generates a backup file from your phone. The other you input your imei and it generate a string of numbers in a box and your imei " should be in there. I say should because...... HELL NO.. I'm not going to try to put it back on my 6 hundred something dollar phone ( if I didn't lose my imei.. Honestly , it can't hurt to to do but, what of you backup up your efs and it don't fix it. This is precautionary , that's it .......

The one program that you enter an imei and it generates the info seems to be dead link. I PMd the OP for that tread earlier this week but never got a response.

Sorry for not replying i was on vacation. Im going to try some of these steps.

[Q] Restored IMEI but stuck on EDGE:2

The problem came when i updated to CM, i noticed that i could not get 4G. After that, i searched online and read some problems about peoples IMEI being 0. Sure enough i had the same problem, so i followed this threads instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117 and managed to restore my IMEI(also flashed back to stock and phone is now unrooted). Now im stuck, i have searched online for hours for a solution to get my 4g back, but most threads are dead. Can someone give me some info for a solution to this problem im experiencing?

And little by little I started loosing HSPA+ or something like that then loosing 3G and when I found out it was only working

I was able to inject the imei (I didn't have a back up) but I'm still stuck on EDGE.
I've read I could flash a stock firmware but the only access to internet I have is from my phone
And I cannot download a 615MB file on edge. Please help.
I would like to be able to get 3G back.

hey, sorry to be a bother, but i've also had with the same issue as of Thursday. phone is stuck with only edge for data. I'd flashed a CM nightly on Thursday, didn't know my backup had been cleaned off my sd card, and lost all data connection. went back to stock firm, no imei, fixed that issue but still only 2g data. If you need any more info just say the word. Any help is appreciated :fingers-crossed:

I'm freaking out. I've spent the past 3 hours reading IMEI articles and I have no idea idea what I'm doing. I'm using CM10 and my IMEI is 0. I never backed up anything because I had no idea I needed to. I don't know what to do :crying:

Lost IMEI and then restored.
But now only 2G (E) works.
Checked lots of topics.

Yes I did PM him read it after.

[Q] trying to flash a note 2 shp-l900 scp number not working on cdma tools

im trying to flash my note 2. i connected my phone to cdma tools go security tab to put in my spc number in spc box and it says failed to connect to phone? I got the msl number using the get my msl app. am I doing something wrong. .also ##8778# not working

You need to put it into diag mode. There's a thread that already covers flashing various Sprint phones in this forum that's miles long. I suggest reading that or taking the phone to someone.

Hey thanks for replying! I have done that like I said I can connect to cdma tools but when I try to put spc # or msl # it says phone failed to connect? I've been googling it and reading the forms till I have a headache.lol

yea ive tried dfs 4.0.1.1 in DFS it says log...(COM 20) open so that's good but when I put my SPC # and pass word 01F2030F5F678FF9 it does nothing just searches....
here is a snap shot.......weird ive flash a galaxy 3 before...

You do have USB debug enabled? And done ##diag# then select USB settings using one of the last two options?

Well I am not sure what the problem is. I flashed my note 2 to cricket with alnost no problems. Last thing I can think of which you probably have done already. Open ports double click on the Samsung one the at bottom of screen click on the one listed there.

well im lost just bought cdma work shop and still same thing...connects to port 20 but when I try to read spc it says failed device not answer

how did u get your SPC # I used get my msl# and its not working? I even downgrade to 4.1.1

Flash ljc.modem and all should be fine! !

I used the method in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35753067. Although I change all my phones spc to 000000. Which requires an older modem to work. Used ljc or lj1 or something like that.

how do you change spc to 000000 ? I have just bought cdma workshop 3.9

wow man it worked changed my modem! ive been pulling my hair out....thanks.. now its turning off and on when connected to dfs?

Do a complete wipe back to ljc and what are you selecting in the DIAG MENU?

I had that problem when I was using the diablo kernel. I would suggest a stock rom and stock kernel.

there are two choices that have dm. either should work but i use dm+modem+adb. when i did it i used the back to stock mc2 plus counter reset zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769. then flashed recovery via odin and flashed the older modem via my recovery. doubt you have to go that far but i had flashed a few roms before I started my flash to cricket so I wanted to make sure everything was 100% stock.
