Is it possible to use isis when you are rooted?
Downloaded the app but wouldn't let me install it. Is there a workaround?
Would triangle away work? Anybody know?

There's an xposed module for it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425346

I have tested this module on my Note 3. It fails when I attempt to register my Isis wallet, with the error "cross MNO not supported". My guess is that this patch module is VZW-specific, and as such fails on T-Mobile, which is of course a different Mobile Network Operator.

install xposed framework, and then this apk (https://www.dropbox.com/s/46c8p4kpbmhkbeh/com.isis.bypass.root.apk) click install, reboot. go back into exposed and click on modules, and click the one that was installed. reboot. presto! ISIS works
Able to use a different method

I was able to use an Xposed framework tool called "RootCloak" to do the trick. Then I signed up for Isis with a different email address. Evidently, the email address you sign up with is associated to the carrier you are using at the time, so if you switch carriers (e.g. AT&T to VZW, VZW to T-Mobile, etc.) it won't let you use your original Isis account.
Thank you for the information anyway!
its doesn't work on T-mobile Note 3 i tried every step correctly and i'm Not new to android things lets say expert, and on other thread it doesn't says which devices is that for? when i downloaded the ISIS app i included with link it was for Verizon so they need to explain- this is Verizon only..!!? what i didn't tried is unchecked super user. will that work? i did full unroot because i badly wanted to try ISIS and it worked smile on my face. but i want roooot too? will unchecking super user enable work ISIS?
Stock KitKat, rooted, with xposed framework and ISIS root bypass 2.0 on N900t using T-Mobile works fine for me.

I am looking to use a T-Mobile N3 on AT&T LTE in USA (for unlocked bootloader so I can use custom ROM). Is this possible? Are there any nuances of the phone/connectivity that would not work? Is it as simple as putting my AT&T sim in the phone? Sorry, not too tech savvy. Thanks
I'm using my T-Mobile Note 3 with ATT right now. If I remember correctly I just popped in the SIM and it worked. This is after I set it up with a T-Mobile card, though, and I may have unlocked before using the ATT card.
Now I have it rooted too, everything is fine.
EDIT: sorry I forgot to mention I also changed the APN settings after putting in the ATT card. I think you have to do that too. Bookmonke in his better response below has the link with the info.
NOW FOR A HIJACK:
I want Google Wallet to work, so I think I need to upgrade to KitKat.
Any suggestions as to which ROM to use on this phone that is both KitKat and will work best with ATT?
Also I guess I will have to install TWRP or Clockwork, and thus 'trip Knox' whatever that means. Should I care? I'm not going to return the phone at this point.

Yes, T-moble 900T works great on AT&T, just needs SIM unlocked and the proper APN put in, follow this thread for the best way.

The Knox feature is about security which will no longer operate if tripped. It can also mean the loss of warranty for your device. As for roms check the developer roms to see which one's offer the features you want.

Thank you very much. What is the best way to root the N900T and install a custom recovery? Chainfire seems to only root the device without installing a recovery? Is there a step by step guide on how to do both? Haven't been able to find an all-encompassing one. Thanks

Please correct me if im wrong, but after you use chainfires root you should be able to install TWRP through goomanager from the play store.

I just used Chainfires root and used his region unlock to get rid of the sim lock, then used goo manager from play store to install TWRP.

So ever since I flashed to 4.4.2 I lost my ability to use ISIS, I could always go back to 4.3 but i dont want to.
Is it gonna be possible to use ISIS again now that the S4 has been officially updated to 4.4.2?
And please dont say USE GOOGLE WALLET..
Google wallet doesnt give me cash back, 50% off discounts and such.. so yea.. just dont
Just realized that TMobile published the ISIS wallet app... Downloaded it and got "device is rooted - isis will not run" message.
There appears to be a way around this using xposed framework and an isis root bypass apk. Am trying that now...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425346
This worked for me but now I'm getting a message that my SIM card requires a Secure Element... I'll stop by a TMobile store and ask them about this later...
Edit - swapped SIM and it works. I don't have a compatible isis card test with but from here I'm sure you'd be good to go

It's what I used to get rid of the root message. It didn't work on yours?
I'm on t-mobile with a S4 Active from ATT (rooted, AWS unlocked, etc). Stock touchwiz rom. I have an ISIS sim card.
I just need the APK. Thanks!
Change your model in build.prop to SGH-M919 and see if you can download it from the play store

I was able to do that and I got the program installed, but it's telling me I need an enhanced SIM.
I have the original ISIS SIM from maybe a year ago. Is it just a hardware incompatibility or get a new SIM?

I did. Maybe it's just not going to work with an S4 Active. Google Wallet does I'll just have to redo that.
Well you could try to get a new sim I suppose, unfortunately that's about all I can suggest since I don't use that app
Anyone try this app from Samsung?? (You can download for Samsung app store) Seem like it's not working on rooted Loly? It claimed that I am not using original samsung software? and just shut down itself.
Works good on my Edge. I'm using the free version.

Hmmm...strange i cant seem to get it run on mine. Keep saying its not supported on non samsung official firmware. I thought it must be the root that causing the issue. I will try to unroot see if it work. .

update: I reflash my firmware to unroot....and it does work! I am really unsure how you managed to get your Music to work with rooted firmware?? even if it comes with the phone....It seem like this app can detect whether the firmware has been modified or not (in this case root). Once I rooted, it stop working.

No, I'm on AT&T. No root available.
But yes, this app was originally designed only for Samsung and therefore can detect altered roms, etc.
Works fine on my rooted sprint edge

On rooted T-Mobile with custom ROM and never had an issue with Milk.
Same here..TmobilE Edge ...no problems...rooted with Hylerdrive Rom
I love it

Mine didn't work for a couple of days so I Uninstalled and reinstalled it and it now works

For future reference; Install Xposed if not already then download RootCloak from the "download" section. Once downloaded go into the RootCloak app and check the box for the app/apps you want.

Tried this on my Galaxy Tab S and couldn't get it to work. With rootcloak on it crashes on bootup and without it I get the generica non-samsung firmware error. Any other ideas? thanks

Ok further to my last post, I was able to get milk loaded using a module in xposed called 'Chocolate Milk'. Please note if you use this module you will need to sideload(not install from the appstore) MILK to get this working, good luck!
Working great on rooted sprint. Love this app i use it everyday.
only available in the United States... anyway to bypass this?
I need to use an app over GSM data. It works on WiFi but not GSM.
A colleague uses the same app on a different device and this works on GSM.
Is there a way to trace what fails so can try and resolve it.?

Guess you need root for that? I don't use root as have banking and payment apps that don't work with root(or never used to work when rooted).

Try root via magisk, and use the integrated MagiskHide. It works well covering root to my banking apps.
Or if by "works over wifi but fail over mobile" you mean the network connection, I suggest using ssl capture. No root, it just use VPN.
