Torrents. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Having a weird issue. Torrents are downloading extremely slow when not on wifi. Tried different apps, torrents, internal/external storage, HSPA/LTE.... I think it was working at the beginning but now, When i download on LTE or HSPA I get like 10-30 kBps and I have no idea why... Didn't have this issue with my note 2... Anyone else having this issue....

Not having this issue using bittorent on late downloaded the lone ranger 720p over 1gb in less than 10 min.

What torrent app do you use? Or do you tether it to your PC and use bittorrent on your pc side?

I have the same frustrating issue. I can't even load you tube videos or Google Music right half the time. It loads a percentage and gets stuck unless on wifi. I toggled to regular 4G and baam! Loads like it should

i know there is a legal side to torrents...but this discussion is not allowed here in relation to pirating/etc

I have an issue where it won't play a whole video. At least most of the time. It'll get maybe half way through the video and then it's like the buffering just stopped so there's nothing else to play. Anymore I just open all YouTube links in Dolphin.

i once had the same issue and for youtube to be able to play videos. i had to factory reset it and install calks rom again. hope this helped.

Even after doing this my youtube videos on low quality still take 45 seconds to load and then it still buffers all the way through the video. If I try to load a video in HD, i have to leave it in the same spot and wait about 3-5 mins for it to start playing. Im in phoneix az where there is no 4G, and my 3G is about .40mbps most of the time.

YouTube loading slow on wifi

Anyone else's YouTube app load really really slow? I get 25mb down with Comcast and it will only load like 45 seconds of a video, stop and then load some more and then stop again. My One X loaded videos right away, is this just me or is this known?

In every ROM i have tried on all my devices the YouTube kinda sucks. My only fix is not really a fix but it works for me.. I just set the bookmark of the mobile site and give it a cool little widget and act like its the app.. Works like a charm lol.

Feels like YouTube allocates less bandwidth to the app access
I know its old but I have this problem too. Anyone knows the solution?

Well here is the thing only on WiFi is the video load time really slow. While I am on "4G" the video loads fine and quick. I know its not my wireless router because I went out bought a brand new wireless N router from best buy just to test and its not equipment. ( return the router after )
Can anyone confirm that it is the case?

Guys, it isnt your router, your modem or your internet. I had to play youtube videos on my PC at 240 p and still wont load... and i have a great internet connection speed. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens. You're not alone.
internet. i have verizon fios at my house, youtube sucks on my computer and phone and tablet. i use comcast at another house, youtube flies.

Check your DNS server on the router. Use Google's DNS server internet is faster. YouTube is faster on my computer than phone sometimes

On a 50mb connection youtube randomly starts buffeting for me on my phone (ran speedtest on my phone after and it was saying 30mb)

Music playback error.

Hello all! Is anyone having any issues with Google play music? I keep getting a payback error, and it's been occurring for a while now. Here's a screen shot of what I mean.

Could it be a weird file format?
Even an MP3 has different encodings and things. MP3 is just a container I believe.
Have you tried using a different player?

Happened to me as well, I chalked it up to sprints terrible network

I don't belive it's the format, I played the same songs on my OG EVO, and my Nexus S, they both played just fine.

Do you get the error on WiFi, CDMA, and LTE? I had a similar issue with a different application except it only did not work on CDMA.

It happens on CDMA I haven't tried it on WIFI. I don't get LTE here yet so I can't test that.

It has happened a couple times on 3g with me. I think it just can't buffer the song day enough.

Maybe for you. I have clear signal where I live, and solid 4G all the way for miles.
2MB/s d/l on a p2p file over 4G is AMAZING.
That's a home network speed.
So is the song you want to play streaming from a NAS box, or is it local?

I get this error pretty often, and I think only on 3G. Usually if I just restart the song it is fine. There was one song that got messed so that I couldn't skip forward in the song because it had the time all screwed up I think.
Also, big pet peeve! When streaming a song, it stutters. So annoying. Once it plays through and is downloaded it is fine. Guessing this is due to the memory bandwidth limitations since its having to read and write at the same time while who knows what else is accessing the memory as well. Downside of no external sd.. but hoping a custom Rom/kernel with memory tweaks will help!

[Q] You tube app constantly buffers on wifi

I have att note 2 with stock rom but rooted. I was having issues with old router at the house so i bought new netgear dual band router. And I have comcast cable with about 22 meg down and 6 meg up so this should be enough to play hd on a phone.
My issue is when i play a youtube vid thats hd it plays for 10 seconds then buffers like the bandwidth isnt enough. My note 1 played these vids in hd no problem. Wifes gs3 plays them no prob. My friend has gn2 also and has the same issue with buffering. However when i kill all recent apps and clear ram and then restart phone it will play the vid easily with no buffering. Then a couple vids later it starts not loading fast enough again. I also have app cashe cleaner that i use about once a week to clear the cash of all apps.
It seems like this happened after one of the last major re-design updates.
Just wondering if anyone has the same problem or a solution?
Sucks! I have the same prob!

Site Admin, please read: Landing page "Root" video.

So the video on http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1891#root plays automatically in the background whenever you get to the Samsung Galaxy Note II landing page. Is it possible to stop this from loading until I press play? Or I figured it was code on the page telling it to load that video and play automatically.
Seeing as how alot of us are using tethering already anyway on our phones, it takes up quite a bit of bandwidth that we ALL KNOW Sprint doesn't have to spare.
I have adblock already.

I am not experiencing what the OP is describing. The video does not auto play for me.
Go into your phone's browser settings, find Plugins and set them to Click to Play or Disabled etc.

This is on a full desktop browser guys. Not mobile.
I've never had this happen, not on any of the four separate computers I use (at a minimum) every day.

Chrome, almost exclusively, FF on a random occasion. Two of the computers have Chrome (and all ad-on/settings/b-marks) synced. The other, shared workstation...
Try Chrome in incognito mode, make sure it's not a sh1tty extention.

I have this happen all the time. I use Chrome. I haven't figured out how to stop it, but I know it's Youtube video, and somewhere in my settings, Chrome automatically starts any Youtube video. I noticed the YouTube thing on other sites. I just haven't been able to find the Youtube video on the landing page, but I do know the video playing is from YouTube because I have watched it on YouTube.
So it's A Chrome thing then... Simple enough.
