Problem Solved!

Hello,
First sorry for my bad English. Whose kernel is the best for performance in cm10.1 rom?

Welcome to xda-developers. You must be new here, because there is no such thing as best kernel. Do not listen to any recommendations that people make, saying it is the best kernel, because guess what? Its not. There is no best kernel. Best kernel for performance? Go look in the Android Development Section and try all the kernels, test it and see which is best for you. There is no BEST, for the last time. So stop asking.

my opinion
the best rom for my needs is my own cooked version of PDAVIET 3.00.07.09
i just added to it some tweaks and apps to MY liking... but to me its the best ROM ive tried so far from the bunch... the AX3L ROM which i used before, was also great, the only problem i have with this great work is that its not based on the dopod release and gives me trouble with my local customization...
i hope it helped

.... with pro and cons (if possible)....
Thanks for the thread
I'm a newbie and i want to install a wm6 based ROM on my Trinity, but I don't know which one...
P.S. May be (IMO) you have to specify in a better way the title of the thread to result more comprehensive

Yes, I got what you said.
The thing is that what is the best ROM for you, doesn't have to be the best ROM for the next person. It very much depends on the type of user that you are and the what features the user is looking for.
So you could create a table or a matrix which shows the features per ROM. This would definitely be a great startingpoint.
Always the same question ... And the better answer is try yourself for having your own opinion : the best rom is different depending on your needs...So try and post your feedback...But that sort of question is useless !!!

I don't think that the question is useless, cause the features, the bugs, the speedness of a ROM are not an OPINION....
I think that made a table with pro, cons , bugs and features of each ROM is USEFULL for a great part of the community, in particular for the newbies like me. Thanks and sorry for my English

If you take the time to read the tread of the differents Roms (i know it's difficult to read for someone...) ... You will know which bugs are in which Rom ... So...I persist..i'm sorry but i'm still thinking it's useless
You'll see if you read each ROM thread that some people say it's quicker than others, it all depends on what you're using it for, what apps you want to install.
In the end, asking everyone which the best ROM is, is pointless, because as shym says, the only way to fins out is to TRY them all.
It takes 10 minutes to flash a new ROM, half an hour to install all the apps, use it for a day, flash another one the next day, try for yourself, it really is the best way.
what is a pro to 1 person is a con to another
I agree with shym - interesting that most senior members have the same opinion. You will find the pros and cons of each ROM by reading their threads. (If you can't be bothered to do that - this forum probably isn;t for you).
and if not - try out different ROMs for ourself - you'll learn a lot - it's worth it.
... I'm not the thread mader but for me an overview table of all the cooked ROMs is usefull.
Ok without pro and cons (cause are personal opinions) but alt least the features and the bugs cold be added.
If all the community don't think so, My best apologise to all
don't you think that anyone that will make that table will put inside his own personal opinion? you will have a table with only one person as jury. pretty useless huh?
I like mun_rus TE and i don't like Axel's rom. why? just because. is my opinion.
and maybe I'm wrong because many people love Axel's rom. how could that be helpful? just try yourself some available roms and you will get the best opinion.
the best opinion for YOU I mean
btw... this is not the first topic about this subject. have a look here:

If you add your own opinion to the fact, yes, it becomes blurry and useless. But if you state facts (installed software, cutomizations etc)... I would love to see such an overview.

Stock ROM, and stock kernel, mate.

Nah, just kidding!
Just have a look around the Dev Section! You're bound to get different answers on this question, so have a look around, find what suits you.
These ROMs are well known, but don't limit yourself just to them:
(in no relevant order)
-Juggernaut
-Darkside
-Blu|Ray
-slickMOD
-Foxstar
-CM7
Pair up with well known kernels:
(again, no relevant order)
-Faux
-Synergy
-Darkside
(NOTE: if you choose CM7, CM7 comes with it's own kernel, and may not work with others)
In any ROM's own thread, the Dev(s) will most likely include in the ROM, what kernel he/she/they favor most. If they favor that kernel, it may be the one, when included with that ROM, that yields the best performance. Try out the combo yourself, and also read through the thread to find if anyone is getting better results using a different kernel.
Hope this helps in some way!
You should check the other 43 threads asking the same question, this is subjective to what you use your phone for...there is no one other person that uses the phone the way you do, so your results will vary.

No, it can't be answered, which is why these threads are always closed. Try them out for your self and make your own decision.
I'm going to try installing a custom ROM on the Note, and I don't need one with tons of extra stuff I'll never use. Right now I'm looking at Synergy, but is there anything out there that is a clear best in stability and battery life?
Best clean and stable ROM with good battery life is always a stock rooted (de-bloated) ROM, period.

I suggest debloating a deodexed rom yourself and adding mods as you see fit..a good debloated base is Digiblur's rom in my oponion.

100% agree. I always try what's out there on all my phones, but my daily drivers are always stripped stock Roms.

Okay, so Digiblur is a good place to start, thanks.
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Have a great day!
This? I am currently on task's AOKP ROM with a katoonz kernel. I have used quantum, carbon and liwuodsmooth before to namea few. I just would like a ROM which uses as little of battery as possible. Thanks
Hi Anaerobics. Unfortunately, we can not allow a question like this because it always turns out to be an argument between followers of different developers/roms. Suggestion from me is to read each thread thoroughly and try some out, and see which works best for you on your specific device.
Thank you for understanding, and best of luck!
Which is the best ROM on 7.1 for performance? And also battery life.
Try them out and see
BJRR N I guess.

You are new its rather obvious of that so let me help you out. This question is one of the worst you could ask since there is no real answer to it. Everyone in here could give you a different answer so best bet is to read up in the threads and choose a rom with features you like and try it out. Also read the user reviews and come to an educated answer that fits your needs.
Just trying to help and I see this question often and I bet if you search this thread which you should of done before creating post you may find others have asked this before you. Good luck and let nandroid be your friend or multi-rom it up
