You are new its rather obvious of that so let me help you out. This question is one of the worst you could ask since there is no real answer to it. Everyone in here could give you a different answer so best bet is to read up in the threads and choose a rom with features you like and try it out. Also read the user reviews and come to an educated answer that fits your needs.
Just trying to help and I see this question often and I bet if you search this thread which you should of done before creating post you may find others have asked this before you. Good luck and let nandroid be your friend or multi-rom it up

The beta 9
I found out that N roms are not good enough yet. I tried few and went back to stable M (CM from sultan)

I know this is a noob question as stated by the title but, I'm on the cm9 rom and the battery life is terrible. I am considering flashing a kernel but which kernel would be the best for battery life? I usually just use the kernel that comes with the rom so I'm new to this. Also Iknow this is a similar question to "which rom is the best" to which people would just reply try them out its different for each phone. If you feel this way just post your experience with a cm9 custom kernel. They don't have a list of features like rom do. Please excuse any errors in grammer and spelling
I know you are noob ill go easy on you this time and as stated in other posts about the very same topic plenty of times before with Kernels Roms ect. there is no best its just whatever works best for you there are only a few to choose from now so flash 1 a day and see which one works best for YOU thats what the focus cause we all use our phones differently.

Nice answer K3vin. Exactly this plus EVERY phone is different and EVERY user is different using his phone differently. So whether ROM or kernel every one is different depending on how you use your phone. They all have great battery life and it is often the user or an offending app that causes bad battery life. The DEVS here are great and will not release something that sucks your battery dry.
I hope I post this in the right place...
So my Q is this: What is the best all around ROM that is stable and give the best battery life / performance?
Thanks,
Just a heads up this thread will most likely get locked.
The correct answer is they are all the best. Try them all till you find what you like.

Well I don't understand why that would be as I am probing as a new SG3 user for information but in any case, thanks for the info.
BTW:
I don't really want to just try one because I may just go with a different phone if I don't feel like I can get the battery life and performance with stability I am after. Thus the phone will still be in factory condition so to speak.
Battery life and performance have to many variables to say one person's will be the same as another.

Like speed said your best bet is to find out which one works best for you. some roms absolutely suck on my phone while others love it on theirs. And vice versa.

The problem is that what is best for one may not be the best for another. Asking vague questions about battery life and performance won't really net you the data you need to make an informed decision. What sort of battery life and performance are you looking for? Even then, how you use your device may impact the performance of the ROM compared to how someone else may use theirs.
I view custom ROMs as something for people who like to take their device and tinker with it until they find a sweet spot that suites them. There are some very good choices but what will be best for you is for for you to decide.
Well stated by experienced and helpful users, thanks all.

hi there.. i'm new here..
i want to flash lollipop on my girlfriend's phone.. i have no clue.
which one is better in battery and performance and bug free?
it's important.. if anythings goes south she'll kill me i guess.. loves her phone more than me..
E988 i think. kitkat is on her phone now..
hi there.. really? nobody knows?
Nobody cares! People ask which ROM is the best question too many times, enough to form it's own threads, so if you really need somebody to tell you which is the best, use the search function. Otherwise my suggestion is to try different ROM, start out with the official ones such as blisspop and cm12. All the ROM here is mostly based on cm, I'm currently using Bliss pop, which is the best ROM IMO. Which is just my opinion, and that's why nobody cares to reply because it's just an opinion.

thanks man for reply.. at least there are some people who own these phone tried some rom and know about the bugs or ect..
i own g pro 2 and happy to help out.. but a quick and short answer does not kill anyone..we are here to learn and teach and share..
Sure thing, but this device is getting up there in term of smart phone years, also the number of subscribers have decreased in recent months because they too have move on to other devices. Those are two reasons why no one replies to you.

Which Rom is best for one plus 5t
Pls don't mind I m asking this instead of trying the roms
I don't have much data to use so I want to download stable custom ROM for 5T.
I also want in total list of ROM available for 5t.
that's a personal opinion
It is better if you find out for yourself
Here are all ROMs very good ?
Wrong thread, Please ask either Q. Ans. Or general thread, You'll definitely get your answer..

Stop asking for the best ROM (for battery, for performance or any other criteria), it doesn't exist. If there was one true best ROM, do you think there would be other ROMs?
There is only subjectively best and that's different for everyone. Everyone has different usage patterns and preferences, so when asking for the best, you get the best for them, not the best for you. The only way you'll find the best one for you is by trying them yourself. They're all free, anyway.
Also, keep in mind that the devs are not competing against each other and they're not trying to win you over or anything. They all have different design goals, they're not trying to be better than one another. They're just trying to be different. Asking for the best is quite disrespectful towards the devs.

I don't feel oos is fluid.
I liked cnp quite a bit but there's huge battery drain by Google Play services.
Treskmod is fine but not as smooth as cnp.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development Some decent choices for your perusal.
AOSIP (aka derpfest), AEX Krieg, MSM Extended, Havoc

Thanks for enlightening me
Anyone please?
Nobody can answer that question but you. What's smooth for you may stutter / lag for someone else and vice-versa. Try derpfest. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-unofficial-aosip-pie-beta-t3884802

You ever tried cnp?
How's derpfest compared to cnp?
derpfest has bugs i had a few system ui crashes for no reason
Post like these are the reason xda has got the way it has, try what you want to try......see for yourself, everyone has a different experience with any rom they flash... asking what's best for a particular person isn't going to help you. Moral of the story is, try them yourself, results will vary...happy flashing

I can't flash every single ROM out there. Also there come weekly updates.
What's wrong with asking for opinions?

I probably came across wrong, but in all honesty try roms for yourself, everyone has a different experience good or bad, if you ask what's the best you'll get ten different answers, try what you want and make your own judgement

I get why sjain11 asked the question, but you have a good point, there are lots of different ROMs because there's lots of different users with different preferences.
You try a bunch out and eventually you find the one that feels right. I advise trying each for a couple of days while using the phone like normal, of course if something really doesn't work for you from the get go move on right away.
I'm hesitant to give you an answer for the same reasons, but for me Official Resurrection Remix Pie has become my go to ROM for the 5T.
When I first got the phone it wasn't being updated, but it's had regular updates since with some huge bug fixes and it's currently (as of the newest build) VEEEEERY smooth. Everything is snappy. That is just my experience though, to find out you'll have to try it for yourself.
