[Q] Charging sound? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I've noticed this on other Samsung Galaxy devices, like my old s3, s2, maybe even vibrant, but whenever I plug in the charger it makes a noise to let you know it's connected. On the Note 3 it just vibrates. Is there a way to turn on the sound?
Also, I've noticed how boxy the speaker sounds... coming from the HTC one lol.

anyone?

That's all mine does. ..I thought that was strange. ..

Mine does not have a sound nor a vibration. How do you turn this on?

Mine says "Charging" in a female British voice, and immediately turns off the screen. Using tasker to do that however.
Britsh voice comes from the iVOVA TTS package.

I noticed that too. Strange as the charger _ connection.ogg file is under system/media/ui

[Solved] HTC BH M300 Bluetooth headset

Hi XDA peeps.
i just picked up a cheap bluetpoth headset by the above name, after it checked out for having A2DP functilnality and had ok reviews. My SGS2 connects and says the right stuff and all seems hunky dory. But I can't get any sound out of it.
When messing with the volume a green light flashes on it twice followed by one blue. Still no sound. All the phone options are enabled for music and calls.
I've tested with an iPhone 4 also, same problem.
Has anyone had this headset before with similar problems? Or is this a case of faulty product?
Cheers~

Solved. Took it back to the store and turns out it was faulty. Replacement headset works brilliantly!
For £15/€20 I believe this is a right bargain.

Headphone jack not responsive

My headphone jack decided to stop working, wondering if theres a fix that does not require flashing. I hope I don't need to send this out for repair
Thanks

Try a set of speakers that you would hook up to a pc if it still wont work its probably a bad jack

just flashed to At&t ICS now its stuck on headphone mode and won't play through the speakers
UPDATE: weird it just fixed itself...
When I plug it in, I have to twist it for the headphones to work.
I just started experiencing this today. The phone "is not recognizing" when I plug in or unplug the headphones.
I was listening to a podcast, got a call, unplugged my headphones, the person could hear me but I couldn't hear them. Restarted phone, everything was good. 30 minutes later, another call, same thing. Then I tested it by starting the podcast then plugging in the headphones. Had to plug them in 4 or 5 times to get it to "catch".
The fact that restarting fixes it, makes me feel like it a software issue. I've been having other issues, so I think I'm going to reflash.

Take a pin and clean out the jack this happened on my brothers iPod and he pulled out about a pound of pocket lint

Note 2 Charger - Does yours hiss and buzz?

Quick question guys, when your charger is plugged in...put your head near to it, does it make a hissing / buzzing noise?
I upgraded from S3 to Note 2 last week (so glad I did, the Note 2 is awesome), but I noticed when charging that the charger makes a weird noise.
So, thinking it was faulty I got it swapped out at Phones 4U for a new charger.
Upon returning home and trying the new charger, it does the same thing!
The noise it makes is similar to that a computer PSU makes before it blows.
Is this normal? Anyone else the same?

This can be a sparking wire in the plug socket of your home which is about to burn or very near to the opposite charge carrying wire. Get that checked rather than the charger.
Same here.

Same. Very irritating but so far no issue other than that.
I can even hear it 3 meters away. Happens when the battery reaches 65% charging.

Same here. I just assume it's the charger doing its work. If everyone has the same experience, then I'll be glad I'm not the only one whose house is gonna burn down, should it self-destruct.
Beamed from Jupiter on my Galaxy Note II
Thanks guys, looks like its just how they are then.

Yes, perfectly normal, no need to worry.
To be honest, I've put my ears near it in a quiet room when it was charging and didn't hear anything.

LOL
Mine does it too when charged
same here, its really annoying when you are trying to sleep
all my phone chargers make that noise when not charging a phone, though the samsung charger is the loudest.
Initially I thought what a silly thread. Then I heard mine making that noise this morning. Only happens with one of my chargers. My N2 came with 2 different ones. A 1A and a 2A. Only the 2A one does it

I thought I'm the only one?
I'm asking Samsung to send me a new charger : )
Hope they can.
Accidentally sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Mine too...it is a relief to see that it is quite normal and happening with everybody.
same here
I use a HTC Charger for it and not a single noise , But i would consider asking Samsung about it, they would normally have a process or also a guide for the support team informing them of whats normal etc,

[Q] GS4 included headphone problems

I'm wondering if this is normal or if my headphones are malfunctioning. The headphones that come in the box for the Galaxy s4 seem to output more sound in the right headphone than the left. Is this a common thing for headsets to do, or are mine malfunctioning? Thank you.
Mine do not have this problem. I would say take 'em back.
Are you sure you're not just deaf from one ear? Lol jk. Nah man you should try and exchange them. I had a pair that came with my s3 that had the same problem. I didn't do anything since I wasn't going to use them anyway.

Check personal sound, it allows for adjusting sound innon ear for ringtones and notifications....

Question about taking a picture with front facing camera in dark place

Could be nothing..
I just noticed that the bright frame you get when you enable flash in front facing camera mode is really pink-ish color.
Is this normal? Or is it supposed to be white?
Thanks in advance XD

I believe it's normal. Mine is that way, too. They probably didn't go with plain white for some reason or another

What issue was that?
Would show a quick aux wire logo instead of headphone jack when plugged in any 3.55 mm jack and no sound would play from the jack only from device speaker. Did 3 reboots 2 battery pulls and still had the problem. The 2nd i walk in the store i plug it up to their headphones and it works fine. So i try mine again as i bought my headphones there too and i would just exchange those and they worked again. No problem since tho juat thought id mention it bc i see im not the only one. I dot know why it happend or what fixed it though
