Hi XDA peeps.
i just picked up a cheap bluetpoth headset by the above name, after it checked out for having A2DP functilnality and had ok reviews. My SGS2 connects and says the right stuff and all seems hunky dory. But I can't get any sound out of it.
When messing with the volume a green light flashes on it twice followed by one blue. Still no sound. All the phone options are enabled for music and calls.
I've tested with an iPhone 4 also, same problem.
Has anyone had this headset before with similar problems? Or is this a case of faulty product?
Cheers~

Solved. Took it back to the store and turns out it was faulty. Replacement headset works brilliantly!
For £15/€20 I believe this is a right bargain.

Has anyone had any issues with wired headsets? Which model is working the best? I know a friend that has gone through 2 of them already and said that he couldn't answer phone calls, and the mic didn't work.
Bose in-ear, inline-mic headset
Sounded amazing on my ipod and Dinc, and now on my Tbolt =D
Does Bluetooth need to be on in order for them to work?

Do all the controls works? Like fast forward volume and skipping tracks?

No it does not use bluetooth, we are talking about wired headsets.
RF3 and airtube
As a side note, has anyone ever tried the RF3 Airtube headsets? I think Life Blue Tube and ENVi are the two brands. They are supposed to reduce radiation, but I can't really find a review anywhere, to see if they actually work as headsets.
I have a pair of Apple hands free cord headset that I use to use with my DInc with no problems, but they won't work with the TBolt...people on the other end can't hear me. Somebody please help or recommend a good pair that does work. Thanks

I have a pair of sennheiser ie8i and klipsch 10xi, which the mic worked fine on my evo. now neither mic wants to work on the my thunderbolt. Does anybody know what they changed? The little icon comes on that shows the microphone but they don't work.
I got the same issue with my Monster Turbine with Control Talk. No mic, but they worked great on my Dinc.
Need to find something too, but leaning towards the Bose.
I have used the nexus s headset with no problem.

HTC in their infinite wisdom disabled the microphones if anything is plugged into the headphone jack, this is the first time they have done this. I hope a developer can pull the right code from another HTC phone to get this to work.
This is a $10 solution, just picked mine up today and works perfectly: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex&#...218120537083&skuId=9535327&st=DYNEX&cp=1&lp=1

trying this... Hopefully work, love the sound of my monster turbines...
I had to use an old shure cable that has a built in mic and button to get it to work, strange thing is the connectors are exactly the same the only difference is my headphone have the extra volume button and the shure doesn't.
I just get cheap $10 earphones, cause im so ruff on them. I tend to tear them up alot or wash them in the washing machine sometime too
I just use a set of Ozone "noise cancelling" headphones with a Mic built in. I am not a fan of how it feels in my ear but the Mic works and is clear. Only thing is it seems flimsy and its 20 bucks at best buy.

I'm perfectly fine with the fact that my HTC provided headphones haven't worked, since I've rooted, but I was wondering why exactly it is that the mic stops working?
I can hear sound on them fine, even in phonecalls, but the mic just died. Is it an HTC thing? I've just always been curious.
Very cheap headset. Mine ripped apart just by dropping phone in pocket while connected.
Someone needs to make a phone that comes with quality headphones

Rooting doesn't change anything but permissions on the phone. As indicated above, its probably just a hardware failure of the headset. Try another headset.
Anyone know where I can get a relatively cheap and decent Bluetooth?

How cheap? if your looking for stereo bluetooth, check out the creative WP-250, holy balls it sounds amazing with beats. I got it for 48 bucks shipped on Amazon, and the bass is the best I've seen on bluetooth stereo ear buds. Regularly priced at 69 bucks, and i would have paid that if i knew they sounded this good.
That still works with calls right?

Before my current set, I used some Motorola S9s. They were not as good as they advertised. The sound quality was ok, battery life was about 6 hours, and they were definitely not sweatproof, as they claimed. After about 3 or 4 weeks of workouts, they crapped out on me. After a particularly sweaty workout, the controls refused to work. I couldn't even get the power buttons working to turn them off. And I had lost my receipt so there went any exchange.
I ended up buying this pair by Rocketfish at Best Buy. So. Much. Better. The sound quality is fantastic, they are very comfortable, and the battery life is pretty much as advertised. All the music and phone controls are on the left earpiece, so I don't even have to unlock my phone to skip a track or raise the volume. And the microphone is excellent; sometimes the person on the other line thinks I hung up on them because of the lack of background noise coming from my end. These are not necessarily noted as being sweatproof, but I've had no problems whatsoever with sweat after nearly 3 months of use. However, as a precaution, I still wipe them down when I feel they may be getting too wet, and I bought a couple of these covers to make sure sweat doesn't get into the charging port.
Oh, and for $10 more, you get a no-questions-asked, 2-year replacement plan.

You can always go with a PS3 headset too. I have one now and its bass isn't the best but the battery life is over 8 hours (constant streaming) and I have had it for about a year now using it 3-4 times a week listening to audiobooks at work. Cost me $30 and goes with my PS3 too. And it does work with calls, buttons on it to answer/hold and volume buttons.
Bluetooth volume boost
I have a Samsung Captivate that runs on Firefly 3.0 froyo rom. The problem is that the audio of music and most importantly videos are not loud enough. Voodoo control plus does a great job of increasing the volume for wired headset. But I use bluetooth headset to listen to music and watch movies. I can hardly hear the audio in noisy environments.
Can someone suggest some app or fix or mod to increase volume in bluetooth headset?
I came to know that volume+ app for gingerbread does this job. Any similar app for froyo? or Voodoo control plus can actually help with BT headset volume boost?

Ebay Bluetooth sets can be decent, but I've gone through a few with horrible battery life. 2 hours max, usually.

Does anyone know and have used and a good blue tooth / headset. I want to get one that is both headset and blue tooth. I seen one at best buy for 70$ but don't know how good it is.

parrot line of blue tooth products are the best imho.
I have used Plantronics headsets for years. My current one is the Voyager Pro UC. It is the best one I have every had. I have purchased multiple Pro series headsets for my company and they have worked well. It has great noise cancellation and good battery life. It is a touch bulky but workings great. I use it daily, and I wear it for hours at a time.

Really like the Motorola Elite Flip
*superb* microphone and speaker quality, EQ, multiple phone support, and comes with different fittings for your ear
They made the HM7000 to compliment the T989.
The casing matches the battery cover.

I got one I am selling if you're interested.
I'm not quite sure what exactly you are looking for, but if you want a stereo Bluetooth headset for listening to music and fire making and receiving calls, I like the Motorola s305. I have had mine for two years and they work just fine with this phone. last I checked, they run about $40 from Amazon.

Glad I could help. One thing to be aware of: in my experience, some ROM/kernel combos have been problematic. With BeastMod 5.0 and synergy kernel, occasionally turning the headset off while music is playing locks up Bluetooth and requires a reboot to regain Bluetooth functionality. I had similar problems with revenge of macnut r1. Blue pulsar worked without a hitch. Eugene's CM7 R2 has been fine for the last two days.

Samsung HM7000. I think it's $60 in the store. The out case matches the SGSII battery cover. It's nice. Gizmodo or someone rated it the best.

Hi,
I have bought Jabra Sport Bluetooth headset, I can easily pair it with my Nexus.
But when I am on homescreen and I click volume up then both my phone and headset beeps.
The same situation goes for ringing: When receiving a call, both my headset AND phone is ringing.
But when I enter powerAmp, only headset is playing (huray!).
Is that normal? I want only my headset to ring/play music.
I have tried this on AOKP M4/B33 and LiquidSmooth 1.3 even with different radios and kernels (I am pretty desperate).
I will never buy Jabra again.
I switched to a blue ant Q2 and its so much better.
