I have no problem connecting to my LG phone which is running Android 4.1.2 but for the life of me I cannot get my Note 10.1 2014 to connect or even see my wedge mouse. Any ideas?

I was able to get mine successfully paired and working. Just got my new Note 10.1 today.
In the bluetooth setting, making sure I check-marked "make device discoverable" I flipped my Wedge over, pressed the power button once until it lit steady blue, then held it down until it went into pairing mode, then I hit 'Scan' on the Note and in seconds it found the Wedge mouse.
Perfect!

You're welcome. I've missed that little gem of "make device discoverable" myself in the past and learned my lesson from it.

I made the device discoverable. The problem I had was the 1-2 punch of (1) turning the mouse on & (2) then pressing and holding to get it into pairing mode. I guess I got lucky when I was messing with it on my phone and got it paired.

Ah, you are far better than I. Some products default to discoverable mode, others not. It took me several tries on some devices to realize I had to put it in discoverable mode myself - basically, not paying attention to the screen text - and I found most fam/friends did the same, so I assumed that was the issue. Nonetheless, the connection button actions ... it took me three attempts to figure that one out
But tell me, do you find the cursor movement erratic with the Wedge on the Note 10.1 (2014)? Mine seems to be jerky quite often, sluggish to perform a movement.

So far it is jerky. I'm not too sure how much I will use it since the sPen does mostly the same thing anyway. Overall I'm very happy with the tablet but maybe when/if we get all 8 cores up and going or once we get our tablets fine tuned just like we want them, things will settle into place.
For those of you that have it working, what does the right-click on your mouse do? I have a note 10 (2012 version) and will probably be upgrading to the 10 or 12. I have one major problem using my note as a work terminal connecting to a citrix session: The right mouse button acts as a 'back' command in anything, including within the citrix session. I have another, older samsung 10" tab and the right click is ignored at the OS level, but within Citrix it works as expected. I believe the OS is applying a default behavior of a 'back' function to any right click on the later device(s) and am wondering if anyone here has any input on it's behavior in the latest devices.
Thanks for any input

well, i was told this problem did not exist in the note 2 but apparently it seems that it does stateside. i use my phone daily in my car to connect to the appradio 2 via bluetooth. with the note 2 every time you connect you must confirm the pairing request number by hitting OK. is there any possible way around this? this pairing request was a common complaing amongs gs3 users as well. however, i always used CM10 and the problem didn't exist on aosp roms.
am i missing something is there anyway around this? it definitely isn't a setting on my radio as i changed nothing and the previous phone connected automatically every time.

I don't have to confirm anything when I connect to Bluetooth in my car. I get in, put it in its holder, plug power in, Tasker turns on BT, and it connects, no confirmation.

damn, i have no idea why i get the pairing request every single time on the pioneer appradio. there are a ton of people that get the same thing with samsung phones but its fixed with aosp roms.

It's nothing special. It's the universal windshield mount from Sprint. I've been using it for long enough that the padding in the clamp is kind of worn wide enough that the N2 *just* fits, if I slide it in from the top, with the clamp wide open. No need to put the phone in, and snug up the sides. Just slide it down into the foam.

I have the new Galaxy Note 2014 edition tablet, as does my son. My son came home today with his tablet and told me the screen no longer turns on. He said he was playing a game with a friend when the screen flickered and then went dark. Nothing seems to bring it back online.
Tried to press the power button and volume up button for a forced reboot. Most times does not but it did reboot once and stayed black.
Also tried pressing the power button down while pressing a finger on the screen, apparently a solution to sleep of death or something. I can't tell if that does anything - if anything it seems to turn it off or something because it has become unresponsive after doing that.
Any thoughts on what to do next?

I seem to be able to get it into two states right now, but neither is like it was - powered on and "working" but no screen. If I hold the power button for a while it seems ot go into a deep state of sleep or off, but I do not quite think it is off. If I hold it again for 30 seconds nothing happens at all. If I hold it again for 4 seconds, the back and menu soft keys will light up again. And then I can get them to light by hitting the home button or a quick touch of the power button.
Press and hold power in either state while holding volume up no longer seems to take me to a reboot - I no longer hear the power up music.
No idea what state it really is in or how to get it out of this.
ok - I think when it is able to light the buttons - it actually is still on. I just heard the vibration notification of an incoming alert (email, twitter or something).

Use the function to chat with the amazon support.
just google "Amazon Support". You will find the option on the right side on the amazon page
They will know what to do and from my experience amazon will offer you that you can send your tablet either to amazon or directly to samsung and they wil pay the shipping costs good luck !

Its a problem with your tablet. I know of a few other people in other threads who have also experienced this. My experience was different though because mine didn't turn on out of the box. I think there's a problem with Samsung's display connector. Your best bet is to just get it replaced at this point.

Yeah - it looks like that. I was hoping for a service option because my son has a lot of homework on it that would be nice to retrieve and of course he is bummed that he might lose all his game stats. I tried ot hook the device up to the pc to see if I could copy some files but although the device shows, its internal drives do not show up.
I really do not know what state the device is in right now. The soft buttons light up and if i pull the smart pen out it vibrates as it acknowledges it has been taken out, and I can hear the occasional vibration notification as an email, twitter update, or some other notification comes in. So - it "seems" like it is on. But I can not get it to do a forced boot and a few other things seem not quite right.
Anyway - Thanks for the help everyone!

That's strange that you can't see the drives when connected to the computer. If you look really closely though it could just be the backlight not turning on when the actual lcd is turning on. If you really need to see whats on the screen and try to find a way to send the files to yourself or upload them somewhere you can try taking a screenshot while the tablet is connected to the computer and check the screenshots folder to see what is on the screen at a certain time. I know it could take a while, but if what's on the tablet is really important it could work. Best of luck.

I tried to see if there was anything vaguely showing but the screen is totally black as far as I can see. I have a service ticket open with Samsung and will send it back for repairs. I would prefer repair over replacement as I would hate to lose all the stuff installed. I generally trust repairs as my philosophy is that they tend to pay better attention on the repair than the assembly line.
Thanks for all the help everyone!
You should definitely try getting it repaired or see if it's possible to copy the data to an external storage prior to getting a new one.
As a general rule I always have Google Drive take automatic backups and store what I can on my external SD to prevent any loss of important work.

Don't you have to unlock the device for the drives to show up on the PC? It's probably waiting for the lock screen to be cleared.

This is what I am thinking - that it is sitting at the lock screen. I tried to see if I could unlock it by touching the screen in the right places but I guess when the screen is dark its not just dark but not functional. I figured as much but thought I would try anyway.

Well - its going back this morning for either repair or replacement. I would prefer repair to save the apps and data and work. Nothing irreplaceable but its a royal pain to reset all this up and my son had significant game experience on the device that might be nice to save.
Either way - it will just be nice to get it working.
Just wanted to follow up with the results. Got notification from Samsung yesterday that they repaired my device and it is on its way back. They replaced the LCD screen and the battery. All free and in warranty and coming back 2 day air.
Not sure why they replaced the battery. I wonder if the battery takes a beating because of 1 game that we play - Bloons TD5. It tends to drain the battery from full to empty in about 30 - 45 minutes. Any other game or function we do the battery last many hours. I wonder if that damages the battery long term?
Hi guys.
I reset my pixel C today, and started fresh, but my keyboard isnt pairing with the tablet...... When attached, the prompt appears to turn on BT, but the numbers requried to pair never appear, plus, when manually pairing, it just seems to time out, no numbers appear either.
Have reset tablet again, have also reset network settings, and have also tried to pair the keyboard with another device - same behaviour, time out.
Is there a hard reset available for the keyboard?
If you can pair to any other BT device then flat battery in keyboard? I've no idea how you can tell!
i use to own the folio but have sent it back. i'm not aware of a hardware reset on keyboard. however, i also had this problem and became frustrated so i just turned bluetooth off but kept the keyboard attached for about a day. the tablet had been rebooted a couple times. when i had become calm enough to turn it on i was greeted with a paired keyboard. it may have had something to do with a battery in keyboard not charing because it was not attached for a few days.
Ok, so, I had another pixel c keyboard at work (my original one, dropped it on the plane, lost 2 keys, so I ordered my current one about 2 months back). and even though that has been off for 2 months, it paired up, first time.....
So the tablet must be working fine....just seems the "current" keyboard doesnt want to re-pair.
Almost tempted to swap the missing keys onto the old one.....just afraid I'd screw that up

I lost my keyboard after the 7.0 upgrade. I am not sure, but I don't think I ever had keyboard after that. I have done hard reboots and "forgot" the keyboard along with every other BT device. Then I pair, key in the six digit number <ENTER> and it sits there saying Connecting... forever.
I bought mine in early June(Pixel and keyboard). It is not rooted and stock. Who is the to call about this?

I contacted tech support. They had me go to safe mode and pair and connect to keyboard. No change.
But then he asked if I could give him the serial number of the keyboard. I removed it from the tablet to search. Of course, there is no SN on the keyboard but I did find it on the box. While re-attaching the keyboard, it CONNECTED for the first time in days!!!! I rebooted in normal mode and it still worked. I unpaired and re-paired and it connected immediately.
I had the tech cancel the RMA for now.
I'm having this issue after returning to 7.1.2 from the Android O beta. Contacted support they were baffled. Keyboard out of warranty so no go on an RMA. Doesn't connect to my pixel or pixel c says incorrect passkey but never gives an option to enter one.

I'm working on a Sprint T217S Galaxy Tab 3 that I gifted to my grandmother a few years back. I had completely reset it beforehand, so developer options are disabled as far as I know. It has had battery issues lately, so I ordered a battery. It arrived today, and my grandma happened to stop by. She told me that she can't use the touch screen anymore, and after further inspection, the digitizer seems to be completely unresponsive.
Here's my dilemma: The entire digitizer is faulty (no menu/back button or touch input), and OTG support seems to not be working. I can connect via USB to the computer, and I believe it takes charge. I cannot however plug in a mouse/keyboard via OTG to navigate the tablet. My only option seems to be using voice input, but all it can do is open settings/handle very basic tasks.
Is there anything I can do? I've considered side-loading apps, but I can't tap anything to establish a connection via apps or settings in the slide down menu to enable bluetooth, etc. I'm at a loss, because I told her I could figure it out soon. I didn't realize how long this would take since I might be looking at a digitizer replacement, and shipping would take a while (weekend). Really appreciate any help, thank you!

Hey there everybody.
So I was using the stylus normally until the firmware update shows up, after a error on update the pen doesn't show up any more. I already tried to restore/restart the tablet and Bluetooth but without any success.
When I attech doesn't show anything, but when I remove pop a notification in red "charge your stylus now". BTW it already was in 100% b4 the update error.
Update: Apparently it's now showing as "K81 CS(DFU)" on Bluetooth and when I try to pair it says "couldn't pair with K81 CS (DFU) because of an incorrect PIN or pass key"
I have the exact same problem...any solution found yet?
Had this problem when i tried to update 1st time my gf Stylus on her tablet, first i tried with the (original) magnetic cover on and the stylus went onto DFU mode, i pressed on the button closer to the tip for about 10 seconds and the stylus went to normal mode(if i recall right). if this doesn't work try maybe the second button, or both at the same time.
Then i updated the stylus on my tablet without the magnetic cover.
Later received my own stylus and did the update procedure directly whitout the magnetic cover.
If the above doesn't work try to deplete the stylus battery, don`t connect the stylus to the tablet and leave it alone. i don't know the exact time it will last, maybe two days, or maybe a week or more, it has a tiny battery (25 mAh).
If succesfull reboot the table once, be sure to have the stylus linked but not attached to the tablet to be extra safe.
Good luck.

Hi there.
Unfortunately it doesn't work.
I left the battery dry and did all the rest, but when I try to connect to the pen in dfu mode it says "couldn't pair with K81 CS(DFU) because of an incorrect PIN or password".
Okay for some magical reason it worked today.
B4 I tried all the things again I opened the " service & feedback" app and started a "get Bluetooth log" and for some unknown reason it worked.

Thanks, but this solution is for those who can connect the pen but cannot update the firmware.
In my case, the pen doesn't even connect to the tablet anymore, so I can't change the contact sharing permissions.
Hey guys so I tried multiple message and I finally got it working.
I reseted the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi preferences.

There is no way to update the firmware as the firmware update is disabled. Attaching and detaching pen reports "Charge your stylus now" so there is some communication going on between both devices.
I've used the service and feedback to send the logs. Tried all workarounds described on XDA forums, nothing seems to help.
there is a lsposed module named maxmipad it removes bluetooth authentication so try it i dont have the pen
