question: version 2.0 of what??
The ROM.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Is there a download link? the one on the actual post says it isn't working. Also, am I suppose to install 2.0 then install the latest version right?
Not to jump in on the MIUI questions, but I have one as well...
I rely a lot on Go SMS because of its individual notification settings for different contacts. In the previous version of this rom, though, the stock messaging app was overriding Go SMS's settings no matter if it was selected as the default messaging app. Anybody else have this problem and can offer a solution?

I haven't tried it with GO SMS, but to get TabletTalk to work I had to disable MMS Priority in the MIUI messaging settings. If you haven't tried that already, I suggest trying that.
I know it's not a definite fix, but I figured an idea is better than nothing

I'm actually not on MIUI at the moment, but the next time I flash it (probably soon), I'll let you know if that works. Thanks for the tip!

I tried this ROM out today as well and did not flash to 2.0 first.
I only made sure to factory rest/wipe cache/dalvik and then format system, data, cache and sdcard.
After that, I flashed from external sdcard the latest version of the ROM and had no issues (aside from the usual needing to reboot the phone once to restore data connectivity).
I hope this helps :fingers-crossed:
Might as well ask another general MIUI question....lol.
Most other ROM's handle Google Voice integration pretty well. For example, when I place a phone call, my call log shows the person's actual number, not the random number Google used to make the integration work.
With MIUI, though, my call log shows that random number instead. Anybody happen to know why that's to case, and if there's a way around it?
Thanks!
Hello xda community!
Recently i modded a little bit my Xperia arc (LT15i). Reflashed stock .587 ROM, rooted, unlocked bootlader, changed kernel(ArcKnight_4), installed Walkman Player V7.5, Overclocked to 1.6Ghz(arcknight_II/noop). Everything is running perfectly, i'm very satisfied(but still i think that ICS needs linux 3 to run properly).
But except those cool things i observe(and experience) there is a minor bug which ruins down my customer experience. It is strange since i've rooted that when i use large amount of memory(music, pictures, videos, browser, etc) that the messaging app won't restart. It makes me nervous when i accidentally open the Messages and when i see that there was an important message sent several hours ago. For now my only reason is to open and minimize the Message app before i lock the phone(it is really irritating).
Some friends of mine told me that only Cyanogen has the option to keep the message app in memory, but after i tried several ROMs, i really have no intention to reflash and restore my data again.
If there is a chance of achieving this goal without reflashing the ROM i would be very happy. Thanks in advance

Maybe you have to much messages stored in your message apps
Try to delete some of them

I have around 800 messages. I'll clean them and i hope that this will work. Thanks!
EDIT:
Definitely doesn't work. As every OS it must have an option for changing app priorities. How I can do that?
Hello,
I just would like to know if anyone is facing FC when using Whatsapp on Hyperdrive RLS11 ROM.
This ROM is awesome. I only have this problem.
Hope anyone know how can I fix it.
Thanks
go into settings > apps > all
uninstall Whatsapp then clear cache in Google Play Store, Google Play Services, and Google Services Framework.
reboot and reinstall the app

Ok and if that doesn't work follow the same procedure except clear the data to each.

Hey again,
I tried both. I'm still facing the same problem. Every time I try to hit the back button, it freezes for few seconds and it crashes.
I use Whatsapp a lot so this is bad.
I only started facing this problem when I installed the most recent Hyperdrive RLS 11. It is an awesome ROM. Too bad I'm having this problem.
Do you have the same ROM installed? I hope Sbrean can help me with that, but I can't post a message on his thread since I'm still new.
I'm on the rom and just installed the app no problem. Something you did... Try a fresh install once again I guess.

I've tried 3 times (followed exactly the instructions). I'm on the T-Mobile one with Stock Kernel (the only choice). What about you?
Same, it's something on your end for sure though.

Just tested it myself on my T999 and I too have no issues. It's definitely something on your end. It may be due to your specific selections within the Aroma Installer that's causing the FC. If nothing else you've tried resolved it that's the only other possible cause I can come down to.

Well I don't think it has to do with me doing something wrong while installing the ROM because I was going step by step. Again I installed it 3 different times after wiping everything.
But what might be the cause of this, I can't really say. I hope someone could just figure it out for me.
I read that few people are facing the same problem. I opened Verizon's and AT&T's threads to check.
Anyway thank you for your help.
By the way, can I tag Sbrean in anyway so that he knows about my problem? I can leave a message on his thread since I am very new to posting and stuff.
This isn't Facebook so no tagging unfortunately. If you post a logcat or go more in specifics about the error I may be able to help. Tell me exactly what you're doing during the install; what options are chosen, how you are wiping things, what exactly are you wiping. It'll be a stroke of luck if someone just jumps in and knows what is going wrong lol. Help me help you.

Oh okay. I thought of that though I can't really say.
If this is the case, it'll take me a long time to figure out what applications might be causing the problem, right? I mean how should I know whether it's the GS4 theme or any other application that's causing this FC.
Guys I'm sorry for that. I really appreciate your help.

hahaha well okay let me tell you.
I first wipe "factory reset" twice. Then I wipe cache, dalvick cache and system.
After I do so, I installed the ROM.
I'm choosing the ICS theme.
Then I am choosing the following applications: (Svoice, Stranslate, 4.2 Camera, S3 Camera (not the Note 2 that comes by default), SNote, SMemo,
S4 Accuweather, Allshare Play, Flipboard, AOSP Email, My Files, Voice Recorder, Rom Toolbox, AOSP Music (Play Music), hacked TW-Launcher 5x5, hacked youtube, street view, google maps. I think these are the apps.
Then I proceed and I wipe dalvick-cache before rebooting.
When the system starts, I am waiting for 10 minutes then reboot again.
Basically, this is what I'm doing.

It's possibly one of the apps chosen, or could be something you are restoring... Do you restore during the setup wizard? Everything else said is proper...

How to Logcat it's gives the details of the Force Close. It's how you diagnose the issues that are happening with apps and such.

Not to be rude but you should really get some research done before asking such questions. Here is a logcat tutorial.

Thank you. Please find attached the .txt file. I installed Catlog. I hope this is helpful.
Hi. My phone (on Stock unrooted 4.1.2, didn't upgrade to 4.2.2 for no reason) has recently become very, very slow. I guess the reason for that is that I recently copied an MKV movie to it. Ever since I did that, it has been dead slow. Even though I have deleted it now, the sluggishness still persists. There's nothing else that I did (ever since this problem started), and please note, my phone was blazing fast before this, so I don't expect suggestions to flash a new ROM or kernel (because I'm a noob when it comes to flashing ROMs and stuff, and I will have so many more problems doing so). I think my phone can go back to the state on stock ROM and kernel.
Another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1988233) mentions the same problem, I've found out that I have the exact same problem. My phone wasn't sluggish before I copied the movie. But now that I have removed it, the phone is stil slow and sluggish*
* what does it mean when i say "slow and sluggish":
- pressing the lock button doesn't turn the screen on, i have to do it a couple of times
- apps take longer to load
- widgets don't load (most of them)
- everything that you can imagine (swiping, sliding, etc) is slow.
Help, please. Thanks in advance.
Clear the cache of the video player application that you tried to play the video with. That may help. Go into settings>apps>downloaded>your video app>clear cache.
If it's the Gallery, go into all applications instead of downloaded.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It may be caused by installing too many RAM-hogging apps, if you're rooted you can try using Greenify from the play store and see if that helps.

I didn't copy the movie for playing, I copied it to transfer it somewhere else. And I've cleared cache of the video player MX Player just to be sure, and uninstalled it. Still no use.
One more thing. Apps are not responding, even stock apps. Once I open an app, it takes forever to load, and the message pops up: "<app> is not responding, would you like to stop it?" with the options "wait, stop, report".
All this has started ever since I copied that movie to my phone. Before that, it was blazing fast, no RAM hogging apps or anything.
How about you try to save all your pics/files you have on your phone, and do a factory reset? I know that's the highest you will go, but still worth a shot!

P.S. Just updated to 4.2.2 to find utter disappointment (and more lag).

Hello all,
I'm hoping you can help. I flashed PA_d2att-3.60-12JUN2013-050113 and pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130719-signed today and now I'm not able to download all of my apps from the App store. I was able to get a good amount of apps, but when I tried to put on Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, I was getting the Packet File is Invalid message.
I cleared the play store cache from within android but that didn't work. I tried rebooting into TWRP and clearing out all my cache's and that didn't work either.
I saw someone link a 'market fix' app and I even tried that. Nothing seems to be working.
Suggestions?

I'm no help on what the problem is, but I've been having this problem quite a lot lately. I'm on 4.1.1 rooted. Also, the wife's bone stock s4 has been throwing the same error from time to time. I might not be your phone or software. I'm interested to hear other input.

I'll check for new ones. I took that right from the first post on the thread on here. Maybe I misread something....
ahh yeah I saw 3.6 stable and completely missed the 3.69. I'll try it tonight when I get home and charge this thing back up. Hopefully that works.
Just tried installing apps again. This time over wifi rather than LTE. They worked. Weird. I could understand if no apps downloaded over LTE, but I downloaded probably 20 or so and only a handful didn't work.
Oh well. I'll stick with this ROM for the moment and see how it behaves over a few days.
Thanks again for pointing out there was a newer one.
Temporary fix anthill Google fix on they end
Unlike other solutions that I have seen, this actually works: Follow the below simply step carefully to solve this problem
1.download this VPN software(hideman) http://www.mediafire.com/download/4b5mato1mtb7vrk/net.hideman_2.1.apk
Or you can still download any other vpn software that can change your ip but I used hideman
2.After you have installed this software on your phone, open it and click on country of connection and choose United State then connect
3. Now open your playstore and download any app
This is just idea from : http://www.droid-life.com/2013/08/0...-is-invalid-error-for-many-during-app-updates . I did not take credit for it.
