Might be something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29369439&postcount=4
It can be any program that is not closed properly (eg. running in the background), like Youtube.
Does it also occur when your device is rebooted and NO program is started? (See in the apps listing which apps are running right after resetting)

it is manifested even when the device has just been restarted. I try to freeze youtube and see how it goes?

Does anyone know a program to check if the battery is still working?

Hi. Maybe try to untick conversation tones (notifications) in whatsapp.
Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk 4

Try to use Greenify. That'll stop programmes from restarting.
As has been said that particular wake lock is an app that hasn't closed Properly.
When I get it I terminate apps one by one each time going back to bbs hitting refresh to see if the wakelock has stopped increasing. When it does I know that's the app I need to greenify.

thx for explain.
Last night as I needed the phone fully functional, I 've formatted. I will update if the problem recurs and if I were to do only 3 hours of screen on. If greenefy will install (I have to buy it or even the free version is fine?)
Thank you.

Any time.
I use the free version. It is a very good app. Make sure you delete all sounds within the phone settings as well. Such as tts, keyboard sounds/vibrations etc.

Strange app spam

Does anyone get random app notifications that seem like spam. Apps like "badoo" and other crap.
Also, I get random pictures in my gallery that are apparently downloaded into my phone without me knowing. I delete them, but every few days I notice 1 or a few have shown up again.
I'm trying to add screenshots, but I keep getting errors. Ill edit on computer.
edit: Here are the screenshots.

I get those notifications every once in a while. I believe they come from certain apps like yahoo messenger used to do that. Same thing with the pictures there like cached images for apps or ads. Try using an add blocking host file if your not already it helps a lot.
Sent from my LG-P930 using XDA App
I've always used yahoo messenger and have never got those. I would double check any obscure apps you have added to your phone. Some probably have bad intentions.
I can't really see any of my apps being questionable. Of course I wouldn't really know for sure I guess. I was just hoping somebody would be able to pinpoint the problem, but it probably is something that happens quite often and is hard to pinpoint.
It is definitely caused by an app you installed. Your best bet would be to get your apps sorted by date of install and start deleting your most recent apps until this goes away.
When this happened to me, it was from some live wallpaper I had installed.
Ya I guess that makes perfect sense. I just wondered how many other people have seen it. I plan to clear everything and do a hard reset anyway. Starting from scratch cause I'm tired of ridiculous lag.
Allstar...
look for an app that removes " airpush " notifcations
AirPush Detector - Dan Bjorge
Addons Detector - Denper
Lookout Ad Network Detector - lookout labs
I get them, I think they are Go Locker ics theme.
I had that go locker ics theme...and I never had an ad like that...but meh...I got rid of all the go software save for go launcher...though I think I might be going back to the launcher pro that I had on my garminefone

[Q] Way to prevent Facebook from starting?

Hello everyone,
By reading your helpful posts, I have rooted my Xplay, removed all the bloatwares, installed Link2SD and Autostarts.
This way I've been able to save lots of ram and my Play starts really quickly and has improved its performances.
However,
however,
however...
This bloody facebook won't stop launching by itself: task killer cannot handle it, Autostarts cannot manage to prevent it from starting by itself. Went into the settings of the app to remove all notifications, but still, it's always there, in the running programms, taking between 20 and 50mb of precious RAM.
I suffer randomly from lags in demanding games and I suspect that's because of Facebook working in background...
Do you have another solution than simply removing it? Indeed, Xperia play is a great gaming device indeed, but it's also a great smartphone, and I want to enjoy it with its full potential. Facebook is part of it and the official app offers more possibility than the non-official ones, usually limited to some basic options.
I just want it to stay closed until I decide to launch it and use it by myself... And not in my back...
Thanks for your help!
Uninstall Facebook.
Use site on mobile or on pc.
May sound "stupid", but its the best way
Sent from my Xperia Play using xda app-developers app
To be honest the official facebook app for our phones is rubbish, Constant pointless updates what don't fix any bugs, eats up your phone memory plus ram,
Just remove it with X-plore if you have Root

Or try autostarts it's an app that lets u disable apps...im testing it at the moment with facebook
Just download romtoolbox, go on autostart and disable it
Actually, I've disabled Facebook and its extensions with Autostarts, but still, it remains and continues launching automatically! So I've just frozen it with link2SD and installed Friendcaster instead. So annoying!

Very freakin' simple. FREEZE IT.
I easily get near 200MB+ free RAM with FB frozen.
Use the mobile site via your browser instead. It's way better and faster anyway.

[Q] AudioOut_2 partial wakelock drains my battery

Hello, I know, on XDA is a lot of topics with this problem but I didn't find any solution there.
Some days ago I flashed my device to stock ROM 4.1.2 [XEO]. Of course, I made full wipe before flash and I didn't root my device.
I installed apps which I use and problem is here. I read, Viber is draining battery, so I went to settings of Viber and checked "Use System Sounds" and disabled vibrate when somebody sends me a message.
In android settings I disabled system sounds and vibrate too.
List of my apps:
Code:
AirDroid
Any.DO
Apex Launcher
BetterBatteryStats
Business Calendar
Cerberus
Dolphin Browser
Dropbox
Dropsync
EZ File Browser
Facebook
Feedly
Keep
Messenger (Facebook)
MX Player
PicsArt
SMS Backup & Restore
SoundHound

Tapatalk
Tasker
Tinylight
Twitter
Viber
Waze
WeatherPro
WidgetLocker
Zooper Widget Pro
At night, tasker turns my device to airplane mode from 03:00 - 07:30.
Battery is really important for me so I will be really very thankful if somebody helps me to fix my problem with drain.
Here is BetterBatteryStats screen:

Thank you for your answer.
Tip 1:
- doesn't work for me. I wrote to CurrentWidget support. They tell me, problem is with Samsung devices (still shows 0mA)
Tip 2:
- have all disabled / enabled
So I found, I must close all aps before I lock my device or use Advanced Task Killer. I read a lot of articles and they don't recommend use 3rd task killers apps and auto-killing is bad for android. So I don't know what I can do now.
Bs. If you configure it to automatically kill all apps at screen off then nothing is gonna go wrong. I have set it up and everything is good here. Also use greenify to stop apps from running in the background that you don't want.

I just uninstalled Viber, hope, it will fix my problem. / installed Whatsapp
I had this issue, i downloaded installed and ran "Rescan Media Root" from the Google Play Store. Problem solved. Without having to uninstall Whatsapp or Viber etc.
Thanks but I don't have rooted device. Btw still have AudioOut_2 problem.. BetterBatteryStats shows me 15 minutes of AudioOut_2 now..
It is not Viber, despite what many people say on numerous threads.
I uninstalled Viber and the problem is still there.
To this day no one knows what the cause is. There have been many suggestions but no definite answer.

And to make it more difficult to solve, it looks like it's completely random.

It is due to any app that uses audio. To shortlist it is generally in apps that use audio and continue running in background.
The only solution is to kill all apps before letting it sleep.

I can personally confirm that both Viber and Skype (when signed in) cause this wakelock. Also, this wakelock appears regardless of whether you turn off your screen. Play 15 minutes of audio with the screen on, you get this wakelock. Play a game, kill the process, you get this wakelock. It occurs even if you're using the phone, not only during screen off.
Edit: What I meant to say was, Viber and Skype cause this wakelock during screen off time.

Basically an instruction to the CPU that stops it going to deep sleep. But try what I said, set a custom reference in Better Battery Stats, play music for 15 minutes while using the phone. You will get 15 minutes of AudioOut_2.

I have the same findings as you. Get lots of AudioOut_2 wakelock but it actually corresponds to the time i spend playing games with sound on (which obviously happens when screen is on). And even with high amount of this wakelock, i still get my normally great battery life. Hence i conclude this wakelock is wrongly captured, at least for me. :cyclops:
Getting high audioout_2 while playing music or games or anything else which produces sound is of course normal, it's common sense.
The problem is when you have 8 hours of awake time when you're sleeping due to audioout_2. My battery went down by 11% overnight because of this.

so I tried to install Advanced Task Killer and here is my setup:
In settings I checked Ignore service, fron app
Auto Kill Level: Crazy
Auto Kill Frequency: When screen off
I created recommend ignore list and add some apps but I don't know if I can kill for example Clock too.
BTW I see S Suggest and S Voice are runned. I don't know why, coz' I didn't start these apps.
I don't have any ignore list. In fact I deleted the ones which were pre configured. I don't have any issues.

It happens if you are using some screen adjusting app like Screen Adjuster. You will have to turn it off to make the install option activate.
AppWidgetDisplay
Also AppWidgetDisplay for Sony Smartwatch causes such behavior.
I wish saw this a few months ago

Yup, I have a Note 2 - the OLED screen can be problematic for my artwork without toning down the red. I imagine I'm not the only artist to use a Note as a quick and dirty, extemporaneous and backup portfolio.
Sure enough "Screen Adjuster" which allows RGB color balancing also makes the Install button unclickable when directly installing APKs. Drove me nuts - always found a temporary solution - rebooting, stopping Play Services, clearing caches for Services and the Play app (plus Aptiode, etc.) but these were hit and miss. Turned it off and it worked without any other hoops to jump through.
Glad I came across this - I don't usually install APKs at this point as my Note 2's apps/uses are pretty stable at this point, but for those days when you have 15 Xposed Framework APKs to install... and. clicking! stabbing! the damn! install button. does. nothing. ...yeeesh.
Figured this out from an Phandroid thread that listed similar apps:
Easyeyez Screen Filter
Twilight Filter
...and other screen dimming filter apps. The post is long because it's been a hassle for a long time... and hopefully to make it a bit easier for someone to find, including the above apps.
God that was annoying. Now to fix my memleak/lag issues.
Rotation manager is causing this too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405849
Echo Lock Screen was the culprit for me.
Happened to me a few times I reboot and if that doesnt work then I clear the caches. Its been a while since I have seen that.
Wow unimaginable
This is unimaginable. Who could think something like a display app (Twilight for me) could create such a condition.
I checked and checked my security settings to confirm I have set the option "to install from unkown sources". I also tried various developer options, but all futile! Also tried rebooting the phone! Nothing worked :crying: until I hit this post!
Lots and lots of thanks to this post. I can now turn of the Twilight app and install other apps.

@fernandovg did you ever find a solution or alternative app for this? if it wasn't for your post about this, i'd still be scouring the internet for answers to button functionality being broken. Also, did you experience any apps that you allowed to rotate not rotating? ie - i set chrome, youtube, reddit, any other app i may view video in to enable rotation so i can have full screen, but that function was broken too the app worked 100% for the first while i had it installed then just crapped out on me for some reason. I messaged the creator of the app for a response so i'll see where that takes me. did you notice malfunction around the time of flashing any roms with stagefright patches by chance? it's the only thing i can think of that was out of the ordinary that i did around the time i notice malfunction. thanks for your input.
wave unlock
i had the same issue, stopped Wave Unlock - app using sensor to wake up my phone (screen on). it worked

Hi,
My friend also faced the same problem, and then he asked me if I could help him fix this.
Then I made some research, and finally I was able to find a solution to this problem.
Solution:
1. If you use any application "Screen Filter" , please disable the screen filter.
2. Then you try to install the application, then re-enable your screen filter. (It is up to you whether you want to re-enable or not, if enabled you should turn off your screen filter if you want to install an apk.
Press Thanks if I helped.

If you find it with ADB, after I suggest not installing a lot of free apps, especially large amounts of them within a short space, but generally paid apps are worth it. Or you could click yes and see what free apps are offered, maybe they might be developed by the same person/company, and the one you installed might be among those other free apps.
