Yep, I'm sure
Try 4.0.0.5 im using it since today and its very good, looks like all bug fixes fixed eg. mounting problem/ext wipe - it works great for me.
2.5.0.7 never had problems with this version so never seen a need to upgrade!

If you have s-off you can use fastboot to flash any recovery of any version, as long as you can find the img file for the particular version you want.

Are you S-off?If not then androidflasher won't work as i read somewhere in the forum that it won't work with s-on device.
if you are s-off then try this
after you flash the recovery image your phone should reboot.Did it rebooted when you flashed?if not then something is wrong.
check your android usb driver and also boot into fastboot and see if your device connect with your pc then try to reflash from there.

Unlock bootloader (check)
Flash cwm custom recovery with fastboot commands
Flash the boot.img of the desired rom with fastboot commands
Do a full wipe in recovery
Install the rom.zip in recovery

No you guys have any complete guides on how to unbrick htc one x ? im a bit confuse on those steps u told me
The link i gave you is a full guide to flash a custom rom.....start at page 1
Really all info is there !
You need to put the recovery.img in the fastboot folder on the pc....
Navigate to the folder and open a dosprompt there
Then do the command
Fastboot devices
If your serial pops up its good ....
Otherwise you need to install HTC sync and then uninstall HTC sync and leave the drivers .... And if that doesn't work you need the java SDK platform !
Connect your HTC One X to your USB cable and then to the PC, choose Disk Drive, next, copy and paste the CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.Zip file onto the root of the SD card for your HOX. Once that's on there, change the phones USB connection to charge only.

i understand that but my android OS not even turn no >"< how do I suppose to change to disk drive. and I try to install sdk,htc sync manager but it doesn't work .
im on fastboot usb mode but my lap doesn't detect my fone
But i don't understand this : you flashed the boot.img with fastboot command.....why does the recovery image doesn't work then and why do you have a lost connection ?
You need to have the phone in fastboot USB mode when flashing boot.img and recovery's ! Let's get back to basic .....
At what point are you now : it's bootlooping but you can acces the bootloader ?
no im on fastboot usb mode..
like what you said and from the guide:
copy and paste the CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.Zip file onto the root of the SD card for your HOX

Hi
Have One x on H3G_001 and updated to jb (Hboot 1.39).
Forgot to nandroid backup (rushing doesn't pay!) and when I attempted to go to cwm recovery I was presented with blank screen.
Have tried TWRP (JB Version) and that works but as no usb mounting available cannot place nandroid onto phone storage.
All this has occurred since phone has had screen replaced.
Is this a case of coincidence or have the kernels changed on recoveries (ICS to JB), I'm totally baffled!
PS: Thanks to Mr. Hofs for assistance he has given so far regarding this, and if anyone has seen JB RUU for Three UK direction would be appreciated :fingers-crossed:.
My suggestion would be to flash any rom in order to use ums and after that transfer and restore a backup. Does adb work on twrp? You could push the file like this: adb push C:\derp.zip /sdcard/
Plan b would be using cwm blindly with hardware keys and someone assisting.
You can use fastboot to boot right into recovery.
Fastboot boot recovery_file_name.img
There is also a nandroid back up thread here on xda.
