Screen repair is a complicated thing on HTC ONE X... I had the same problem, but not with the blank screen, just with different kinds of screen.. So, my advise is, if your motherboard wasn't defective before the screen repair, there are possibilites to be a different screen.. look, there are three screen producers for HTC.. maybe you got the wrong one... try to buy a screen from another HTC ONE X.. it's difficult to find, but the best way to have a original and functional screen! Good luck man..

You need to verify the color of your flat.. but, there's an easy way to look for it, without need of disassembly.. I'll search for it..xda has a forum with the explanation..

if you are going to fix it yourself, or a repair shop? look at the lcd flex cable there is numbers on is. just look for the screen that matches with the old one. also, buy the lcd and digitizer as one assembly. good luck

HTC S710 Replacement screen..

Hey!
Can anyone point me to a place where i can buy a new display for my S710 ? As the one i have is broken..
~D
Oh and they have to ship worldwide..
If you want to replace it by yourself, you should have a clear idea that what's the lcd screen you want.
For safe sake, you'd better take apart you pda first to get the part number of the lcd screen, then you can get the right lcdscreen to replace it.
You can contact me after you get the number, i will check whether we have it in our stock.

Thanks! I will do that..
I need the exact same part and have been looking everywhere, nobody sells it. The only way I have found to repair it is through HTC who won't sell me the screen unless I pay them to fit it at £92 + vat! I paid £200 for the phone so there's no way I am paying that much. Anyone know where we can get one?
providing us with the part number would be helpful
any identification numbers on the lcd module itself would be helpful particularly a manufacturers name as there may be issues with using the same type of lcd but made by a different manufacturer
Okay i don't know if this can help others, but i have taken my S710 apart and after some sweat and a long time i got to the LCD display.. Heres what typed on it..
PN: 60H00088-00M
But there is no manufactor .. as far as i can see..
Hi, I'm looking for this LCD screen also. If anybody know's where to find, i'm in.
Best regards,
Jumea

[Q] SLCD screen broken, replaceable with amoled?

Hi guys,
sorry if they has been answered elsewhere, ive been searching the web for days. I got a brand new HTC desire a couple of weeks ago and preceded to drop it, shattered the digitizer and damaged the LCD screen. I decided to do the repair myself and changed the parts no problem. The problem is the replacement screen wont work (it was brand new, genuine). My phone has an SLCD (checked part number against the replacements) and the replacement was an AMOLED.
Should the screen work no problem in my handset or do i need to get a hold of a SLCD? Also, im new to the rooting scene, but would this help 'fix' my problem?
Any help would be appreciated. I need to get my 2 weeks old phone working again haha.....i should have just sent it to HTC lol.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

X One has developed screen dead zone

My 4 Month old HOX has developed a horizontal bar shaped area in the middle of the screen which is dead to touch!
Used the pointer trace in development tools to confirm this.
have re-locked and stocked the ROM for return, does anybody think i'll have any problems with warranty??
As it has to go directly back to HTC for repair...
As its a hardware fault I'm hoping not....
Cheers
Well, it all.depends on where you purchased it.
After 4 months, a repair is the most likely course of action.

Regardless of the possibility of your phone being rejected on the basis that the bootloader was unlocked, you should still give it a shot. Give it to HTC.
Did you drop it? If I'm right, its the digitizer that's messed up.

Give it to the Service Center. It could be a loose cable to the digitizer or something. Anyways there's a good chance they'll fix it, Good Luck.
Had the same issue with nexus s. Middle line dead. Was really sorry cause was a new phone. One day my gf made the bad and static electricity stuck on her fingers and after she moved the phone. Once she touched. It it made a sparkle. I swear the phone got rid of the dead line. Either I was lucky or maybe it just need it a push.

[Q] Capacitive buttons stop working

Today is a very sad day for me somehow my new htc one x's capaticive buttons stopped working i restarted and even factory resetted and they are not working anymore
my previous htc hd2 was stopped digitizer working too. How unlucky i am.
I guess I neet to install CWM and using on screen button
which rom do you reccomend? ı used to install couple roms to hd2 but i havent tried with one x
thank you all
Factory reset will only reset it to the rom you have flashed. Have you tried flashing the correct ruu for your phone? When you say it's new, how new? New enough to return to where you got it for replacement?

I have installed icecoldjelly but then I had problem with mobile network :s
capacitive buttons stopped working
my htc one x touch sensitive buttons have stopped working like a week ago, i then installed the coldjellybean by which i got that onscreen buttons after 2 days the buttons started working n i thought of selling the set but as i was going to make a deal with a person that day the problem appeared again, i dont have the warranty left and the screen replacement is quite not an option. Is there any trick that i can work on to make them work again.

it could be just the digitizer and on ebay you can find it quite cheap.

i took the phone to my local market n came to know that the their isnt any separate capacitive buttons cable, it is embedded within the lcd, so if i have to order then whole complete lcd + digizer + module, and i checked the online purchase price is almost the same price the local market ppl are offering that is near 60 dollars.
Just that i am not sure why does the buttons stopped working and if somehow why they started working n now have again stopped ;(

not sure what you mean.. look at this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Touch-S...865?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d02ec98e9
anyway it happened to me with another phone that a portion of the digitizer stopped working for a few days, then it started working again and then it stopped for good and had to replace it.

hmmm, well actually i was reading all the other threads with this issue and came upton this
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696552
Which shows "DO NOT try to replace the screen by yourself" and i can see that on my set that its rather v hard to do this thing instead everyone says to buy the whole module as it is very complex thing to do.

it is hard to separate the digitizer from the lcd but it's doable and nothing like the iphone digi+lcd that uses an epoxy adhesive. so if you are carefull (or have someone skilled doing it for you) you wont break the lcd and you'll save quite some money. it's true though that the new digitizer wont stick to the lcd as well as a "genuine combo digi+lcd" and you will notice dust building in between the two. my advice, if you know someone that is skilled enough, try get the digitizer off without breaking the lcd and if you manage that then buy the new digitizer. otherwise since you said that changing the whole digi+lcd is not an option you can always try sell your one x as damaged or use it as an expensive paperweight.
best of luck mate, i hope you solve it one way or another.

haha that paperweight thing made my day... well thanks for the advice but i think i am going to wait until it gets ok by itself as it happened before until then icecoldjelly rom would be a temporary solution for the onscreen buttons. Thanks anyway

[Q] Two problems over here!

Hi guys two question over here
1) i was playing the other night max payne in my hox and suddenly, the celphone became slow,i quitted the game and sense was slowly too! i decided to rebot the system and everything was working fine after rebooting, today i was playing another game, and again the same problem,im using viper x 4.0.6 and alex v kernel, what do you think it is ?
2) in my hox the screen is broken,is just a horizontal line, everything works perfect,i bought the entire lcd + touch screen, but i took my hox to the expert here, in my country i dont have official service or htc support except for the operator servive that is too expensive (trust me ,too expensive),and he said that is too risky to change the screen, sometimes the lcd doesnt work when is replaced, also he said that i should buy only the crystan without lcd, what do you say about keeping the screen broken?
Thanks and sorry for my poor english!
1: try stock kernel first and check that way if it's kernel related
2: is the screen replaced yet ? If not it's best to replace the screen + digitizer as it's pretty hard to separate the 2 from each other without damaging it.
