[JB 4.2.2 P.A.C]How to remove SD card? - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
how can I start the safe removal of the SD card? I cannot find a function in the JB 4.2.2 P.A.C ROM:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
Where could it be?
Thanks!

It's quite simple:
1. Turn OFF phone.
2. Remove SD card
3. Do whatever u wonna do with sd card
4. Put SD card back into phone
5. Turn ON phone.

Oft course I could switch off the phone. But Samsung's stock JB and GB offer a button 'remove SD'. And I was surprised, that CM should not have such feature.

Okay, unfortunately I don't even know if there's such a feature in CM.
How often do you really need it??
I've read in a forum that you are able to remove SD Card with CM every time when phone is in sleeping mode. (normal standby-mode( Power button pushed short time and display is black)).
I don't know where I've read it, so I cannot give any warranty to you. If you wonna try do it on your own risk.
DO NOT DO this, if you have changed Modified fstab.
I have changed storages via modified fstab, so I've no change to refer my assertations.
regards
xafra

I have modifed vold.fstab. removed sdcard a few time to transfer backup without setting anything(because of bootloops )
EDIT: i dont mean its safe, but do it at your own risk

dualboot

there is a dealboot on the SGSII... we could (hopefully, maybe, dont old me responsible if you do) use it! right? i mean we used the international kernel before... why not???? just dont use bootloader or modem
ok the kernel would work ( haven't tested but i (and other dev) have used the international kernel) but the eMMC chips are different ( ibelieve) and that might cause issues with the recovery sense samsung doesnt like to use boot.img files there isnt a recovery.img either

Maybe once the source drops, but I do believe it would require a hacked bootloader. Then we could tell it to boot something from the internal SD. But to truly dual boot we would need a custom PIT file so that we could have 2 system images instead of 1.

it takes 2.5 GB out of the internal sd card folder and creates a second system folder, then at boot the user tells the kernel what system folder to boot and thats how it knows what ROM to boot

CM10 Camera Problem - blank/empty/corrupted photos

For some reason my camera app on CM10 can take about 3-5 photos but then suddenly stops and seems to save just a corrupted file.
It looks like this

I'm using Hurtsky's kernel but I don't think it makes a difference because I had the same problem on a stock kernel. My SD cards are swapped though
Has anyone experienced anything similar, or can help me get rid of the problem?

Well first of all I installed a custom rom (OmniRom 4.4) it had bugs cuz it's still new rom so I went back to stock after success installation I reboot my phone but the phone became a bell (I have rogers) so because it was late I thought I'll change the csc next day but early in the morning my brother installed the stock firmware again because of bloatwares well while he was installing he checked efs box and the repartition too
not 5 minutes after he waz done I saw what he did and since then I tried almost everything and looking everywhere I have even the twrp backup but the twrp can't find it becomes there is something wrong with internal memory
I installed titanium backup to restore my (tibu)
It did install nothing changed
I'm hopeless
Sorry for that spelling I'm using Taptalk lol
Can you use Odin to flash back to stock 100% and go from there? It looks like you definitely need to get back to stock firmware and your description is a little confusing as to what your brother did with...Odin?..that's a guess because you didn't state what he was doing exactly

havent tried to write to external (yet) - but it reads both internal and external
and writes to internal
(my screen shots got saved to internal sd card)
you may need the permissions.xml file posted in the dbKAT thread...
camera saves to extSDcard - so all appears to be working normally on my device

As most of you are aware, XDA no longer allows certain works of banned members to exist here at XDA, discussion of either the banned member and or discussion of the works of said banned member(s) is not allowed. This includes images and screenshots, along with signatures and any other way a member could represent these member(s). Simply put - zero tolerance means, no way, no where, no how.
Let's also not forget that the banned member in question *requested* as terms of his (again) requested removal from XDA that no one be allowed to talk about him and XDA agreed. @erid2thed knows this quite well.

I had this in the very beginning with my phone, thought I lost it completely, until I reinstalled stock-kernel and 4.0.1B through flashtools under Windows XP. But hen WITHOUT the sdcard physically in the phone. Just remove it, install, reboot (hope you're fine after this) and then RE-INSTALL the sdcard physically again. This solved my problem. Hope it'll work for you!
