there is a dealboot on the SGSII... we could (hopefully, maybe, dont old me responsible if you do) use it! right? i mean we used the international kernel before... why not???? just dont use bootloader or modem
ok the kernel would work ( haven't tested but i (and other dev) have used the international kernel) but the eMMC chips are different ( ibelieve) and that might cause issues with the recovery sense samsung doesnt like to use boot.img files there isnt a recovery.img either
EDIT:

Maybe once the source drops, but I do believe it would require a hacked bootloader. Then we could tell it to boot something from the internal SD. But to truly dual boot we would need a custom PIT file so that we could have 2 system images instead of 1.

it takes 2.5 GB out of the internal sd card folder and creates a second system folder, then at boot the user tells the kernel what system folder to boot and thats how it knows what ROM to boot

I just tried that zip, it doesnt work. However in general a patch like this will work on our phone, we just need one that is right for us. And also this may be already baked into our roms.
Edit: I looked at the forums of my old phone and found a zip that works Link
So I was bored today and so I tested the different drivers with quadrant
Here are the results:

Best values are highlighted
How it was tested:
Rom: Unofficial CM9
Procedure: battery pull, test first without then with 2D acceleration, flash qualcomm drivers, repeat tests
Conclusion: I am going to use the qualcomm drivers with 2D acceleration on because it is the best in two, almost three, out of five categories
Disclaimer: As I may have fudged this up, not gotten a big enough sample, or have slight differences in hardware, I strongly suggest that you try this for yourself
Edit: if your phone will not auto-rotate after you flash the drivers just do a cache wipe and it should start working again

Open your recovery (first do a full backup!), then select "install zip from sd card" and select the zip file that you have downloaded

I hope I don't come off as a **** saying this. If you have to ask, you need to do some more reading and learning before you start messing with stuff like this.

I don't have any baseband.img at the moment, nor do I know what baseband my phone is currently using because it says baseband version "unknown" in my settings.
What country/region is v20d for?

I am going to be releasing some flashable zips soon that will install baseband/firmware. Lots of people ask how to install them, and I suspect making it into flashable zips will make it easier for everyone (even though it's not that hard to begin with -- nothing wrong with making it even easier).

Did you use ROM manger to back your ROM? And the 1979 that's the same thing I got when I back up my phone using the recovery. So that might be it. Another question how many time did you back up your gs3 ?

Dose the 1979 file like something like 1979-01-02.12-34 that's not right but something like that if then it might be that but since u use cwm . You have a file on your SD card called cwm which your back up file should be there . And I believe it is name after that number . . Just in case have a ROM zip ready .. restore that file if it work you good if it don't it well tell just read. Then go flash to the zip ROM you have then go find a stock ROM and flash over .. simple... good luck
I have no Bluetooth no space no network but the sim is in and it's working... well don't know how to describe so I'll post the pictures please help

Well first of all I installed a custom rom (OmniRom 4.4) it had bugs cuz it's still new rom so I went back to stock after success installation I reboot my phone but the phone became a bell (I have rogers) so because it was late I thought I'll change the csc next day but early in the morning my brother installed the stock firmware again because of bloatwares well while he was installing he checked efs box and the repartition too
not 5 minutes after he waz done I saw what he did and since then I tried almost everything and looking everywhere I have even the twrp backup but the twrp can't find it becomes there is something wrong with internal memory
I installed titanium backup to restore my (tibu)
It did install nothing changed
I'm hopeless
Sorry for that spelling I'm using Taptalk lol
Can you use Odin to flash back to stock 100% and go from there? It looks like you definitely need to get back to stock firmware and your description is a little confusing as to what your brother did with...Odin?..that's a guess because you didn't state what he was doing exactly
