I have a rooted Sprint GS3, I wanna know if I could dual boot with CleanBean and the new preview of MOAR v6? I got STweaks and it says my Kernel is not supported. I'm wondering what would be the correct kernel to allow both to work? Any information would help. Thank you.

I don't know how you could dual boot, but have you considered just keeping around an uncompressed nandroid backup for both? Not a very elegant solution, no, but I figure it gets the job done.

Hi here I back for an updated kernel.
Since I am the kernel developer for Galaxy R and both machines are using tegra2 CPU. I hope that I can re-use the techniques to enhance the kernel for both devices.
I know that I don't own this device (instead, I own a Galaxy R). So, please forgive me!
I have prepared a kernel for i927 that is CWM flashable, below is the change log:
v1.2 (2012-02-13)
=============
- Happy Valentines day!
- Fix counter for 3G/wifi data usage (now, you can monitor your usage using common software like 3G watchdog, etc)
- Performance increased by introducing some memory copy macros and functions
- Speed up framebuffer copy
Download:
Version: v1.2

v1.1 (2012-01-28)
=============
- For Samsung Captivate Glide only
- CWM flashable
- Rooted (if you have no su in /system/bin/, this kernel will help to put it there)
- Execute any scripts located in /system/etc/init.d/ during boot
- Still, it is OC to 1.2Ghz
Download:
Version: v1.1

I will further update and enhance this kernel. Thanks vil33 for asking me to prepare it and help to test it and thanks CarpeNoctem for the continuous support. Thanks.
Next step: OC to 1.35Ghz ; add more CPU governors ; add VR/SIO I/O Scheduler ; more & more
working fine! I have tried some init.d scripts and they execute upon boot. Will try more....
Thanks man, do you mind if I include it in my rom ?

I took the plunge and installed your kernel. Everything seems to be working fine. I can finally use Droidwall and TiBu again!
Thanks for your work!
is UV going to be implemented on the next release??
This is gonna be so kewl!!!!
Want to ask if 3g data counter works fine in this device?
If it is not working / counting correctly, I could help to fix the bug in the kernel. Thanks.

I can back up the fact that 3g monitoring isn't working on stock or custom kernels.

Never mind stupid user error. Coming over from an old winmo phone and haven't crested the learning curve yet

Try re-entering the code that was given to you for unlocking. But in most cases, this should not be occuring....

I can confirm that the previous version will cause locked again.
is it fixed in the updated version?
and is this kernel carrierIQ free?

Yes, carrierIQ free
The issue of 'locked' is strange, and should not be occurring... Does everyone experiencing this? If this really occurs on you, then, you may need to use back the stock kernel.
just wanted to throw in some quick feedback..
1. loving the kernel.. hoping for 1.35oc
2. works perfectly with cranium so far..
3. never relocked my phone
so thanks for your hard work
may blessings be showered upon your head
How can I dual boot on my GS3? I am using CM10, and am on 9/10 nightly. I would like to dual boot into other nightlies and test them out before flashing them on. I assume this is why people post the nightlies and say they are for dual booters.

The dualboot is for cm9. If you're tryna use it with cm10 you have to modify the update script in cm10 to make it work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28906564&postcount=49 ..details in link

Thanks, I got dual boot a figured out. It's really nice to be able to mess with everything and be able to hit REBOOT and all the sudden you're back on your stable rom.
These are CWM flashable zips of the stock TW JB kernels...
I made these so users don't have to reflash their whole rom.
These will possibly work with any of the other JB leaks. (I know UVLI6 can use UVLI7 kernel & vise-versa)
Enjoy!

*More coming soon...
*Note: v2 of these kernels fixes the wifi issue so you can easily switch between kernels.
*Note: v3 of these kernels removes KTweaker.apk for you to make your life that much easier.
*Donations aren't required or even expected but, a simple "thanks" works well.
Thanks

Possibly... If it's a kernel related issue. These JB kernels are compatible with each other. So just nandroid and give it a try.

They are just the stock kernels. No extra features are added in. Its for the people who uses ktoonsez kernel and want to switch back without reflashing their whole ROM.

They are totally stock kernels. Mostly for people who flash a custom kernel then want to return to stock kernel without having to flash their ROM all over again.

Hi, I saw a portal topic earlier about the S4 being dual bootable so is it possible for our hovs?
It is possible. But someone would have to develop it.

Yes it is quite possible. The app is called boot manager and there is a tutorial on Youtube on how to find out the variables it will ask for. This will install a ROM onto your sd card and allow a dual boot. You will have to be rooted and have CWM recovery. It's a pretty awesome app.
umm u need the kernel to support dual boot
just an app wont do it ya know
only good for bricking
Hi folks as the title asks , is it possible to dual boot a non rooted ROM along side my rooted ROM? Also if possible I'd be after a link for a non root ROM, was dual booting Linux so I'm set to go if its possible!
Thanks folks.
