Hi folks as the title asks , is it possible to dual boot a non rooted ROM along side my rooted ROM? Also if possible I'd be after a link for a non root ROM, was dual booting Linux so I'm set to go if its possible!
Thanks folks.

Tried using this method:

Doesn't work
I'm on a rooted LT18i stock ICS.
I'd really appreciate some help.
Cheers

havent you considered flashing a custom ROM ? it's easy and extends the performance of your device as well as it gives the device a nicer look

Would do it gladly but:
"bootloader unlock allowed: no"
As far as I read I need to sim unlock it with pin test I think. So as for now I can't do nothing... Unless U know other way around it

Well did it anyway. Someguyfromhell BIG THANK YOU again mate. Nice one. System is flying:good:
Hello,
I have a Galaxy S4 Mini LTE version and installed Carbon ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 from F4k (this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642488).
Now I installed Tasker from the Playshop. I want to do a call forward with Tasker (triggered ny NFC).
when the task is started (manually of by the NFC app), Tasker claims that call forwarding was correctly done. However, call forwarding is not set up as it should, it seems that nothing actually happened with the telephone itself.
What could that be? possibly KK 4.4.4 is too restriced now?
Maby somebody has an idea, I searched and did not find a solution yet.
Cheers, Frank
You should ask to carbon developer they may have an answer for you... Btw remember carbon rom is a custom rom and they could have some bug.. You should try an stock kk 4.4.2 for your model..

It worked als owith this kernel "GT-I9195_Kernel_v1.zip"?
This is the one for the original firmware rooting, that is why I am asking.

okeydokoey, so you just use the kernel which comes with the stock ROM? Or do you use another kernel?
I thought, that root is not really possible with the kernel of the stock ROM.

Thanks for your feedback. I was waiting for a new kernel for KK4.4.2 of Stock ROM.
I will first try Stock ROM 4.2.2 to see, whether my original problem is solved by that. If so, than I may try version 4.4.2, need to check how I can install that on my phone. . .

Yes, you can run whatever you want. I have a KitKat ROM, a lollipop ROM, and I had Ubuntu Touch and Firefox OS but deleted those because they were just wastes of space.

Hi,
OK, just saw this nice bootanimation and tried to put it on my XT1039.
BlissPop 4.0.3 (17/10/2015),Optimus Prime kernel.
Tried to flash : failed
Extracted and copied to system/media : works like a charm.
Tried to make sound working : failed (at the moment)
Seems it's missing something in kernel to activate function.
Seems also that CM guys aren't great fans of bootsound function and not activate it in their kernel...
An idea to do it?
Its a kernel function so unless someone can edite the kernel for boot sound functionality its not possible

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Xposed on cataclysm from. I flash the zip file, but after optimization of applications I have a force close of the UI system app. Then I need to uninstall the framework in order to restore the system. Anyone have some suggestions? Any other ROM like cataclysm with Xposed already in?
Thanks all
I know it's not an answer to your question, but I'd advise against using a ROM that's been discontinued half a year ago. Though Cataclysm was a great ROM i moved on to Pure Nexus myself. Works great with Xposed.

You're doing something wrong.
Are you using the correct Xposed? Version 86? X64?
Are you on the latest Pure Nexus and latest Vendor img?
Are you using latest SU? 2.76 ?
If you're saying you are having bootloops with Cataclysm, I and everyone else will not help you. That ROM is dead, it cannot be compatible with anything current.

OK, read my comment again, I edited it a bit.
I advise no one here to assist you as far as Cataclysm goes, sorry.

Don't know, haven't used that feature ever on any ROM.
I think Gravitybox has it though? not sure.
Anyway, yeah, just use a different one, that is currently supported. Otherwise it's impossible to pin-point a ROM-SuperSu conflict.

No, but GravityBox has.
I'm using a combination, which you can see in my signature and it works perfectly.

Some people reported bootloops when flashing in the wrong order. If you clean flash pure Nexus and stick to the flashing instruction there should not be a problem.
