[Q] Reboot reset display settings - LG Optimus G Pro

Hello,
Just got my OPG yesterday and as I was configuring the display settings, I noticed that it keeps on reverting to default every time I reboot/restart the unit :crying:... like brightness automatically turn up to 100%... screen time reset back to 2min of inactivity while i changed it to 15 sec I don't know why it does that...its very annoying. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

hello
I also have the same issue. My E988 would reset its brightness setting if I restart it.
But this is happen after I did a factory reset via power+volume down. Before that, I didn't have this issue.
Any help appreciated
edit: fixed. It only reset when there is no simcard at the phone. The brightness setting back to normal if the phone has simcard inserted.

screen not turning off

my TP2 has stopped turning the screen off automatically. i don't know what triggered the change but the screen doesn't turn of automatically anymore after I use the phone, or if it gets activated in anyway (receiving an SMS, a phone call, ...). i check the settings/system/power and 'Turn off backlight if device is not used for' is selected with the time set to 30 seconds. however thebacklight never turns off. any ideas how to fix this? thanks much!

this happened to me a while ago as well, sadly the only way i was able to fix it was by doing a hard reset. but maybe someone else will know a better way to fix it.

thanks. a hard reset would be a last resort! i have many tweaks and too many apps to give up on easily. any other solutions out there?
I have the same problem but mine also turns on itself! When I turn it off with key it takes appr. 10 seconds and then it turns itself on. This does not happen all the time but when it has started I do not know how to stop it but it stops itself after a while. Soft reset does not help.
Have tried hard reset and then it use to wor a few days then it comes back. Very frustrating as it drains the battery fast.

[Q] Backlight Time and brightness

I have a problem with my LG G E975 with Android 4.1.2.
I have set the Backlight Time to 30 seconds and the brightness in auto mode.
When i reboot the phone or the battery ends this settings always changes to 2 minutes of backlight and brightness to 100% with auto mode off.
Is this a bug or my phone have some kind of problem?
I have already done a factory reset.
Solved.

Returning phone

Well 30 minutes into having this phone, I have issues. The phone will go to sleep but won't fully wake back up. I have too long press the power button to power down then reboot to use the phone again. So I'm sending this thing back, I hope my replacement is at least useable. Has anyone else had this problem? I've googled it, and it looks like I'm the only one. I will say when the phone is useable, I love it!

I did not have that problem. I had to send in for repair. My phone on Sim slot 1 would not lock my Sim card in so it could slip out and I would loss signal. Something to look at.

Thats usually caused by an app you installed misbehaving and causing the phone to experience a SOD (Sleep of Death). Sometimes running a logcat just before putting it to sleep will point out clues to which app it is.
See and I thought that too.. so I did a factory reset, and without any third party apps it does the same thing. I even tried turning it to performance mode in the power saver app, thinking that was the problem, to no avail. It still does the sleep of death. They said they would over night me a phone, but can't because they are upgrading their systems right now..lol just my luck

Isn't this the same thing as a factory reset going through the android back up and reset menu?

Apologize for the delayed response. Have you tried using ZenMotion to see if it will wake from sleep? - Double tapping screen to wake up device & lock screen. By double tapping the screen, you can
1. Wake up the phone: When the phone is in sleep mode, tap the screen twice to wake up the phone.
2. Lock screen: When the phone is on the page of desktop, tap the screen twice to lock the screen.
Please see our FAQ for how to enable this option: http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011264/

Try safe mode. If that doesn't work try a factory reset, if your using a custom ROM flash latest stock and try to reproduce the fault. If still continues to happen I would get in contact with Google to see what your options are.

Thanks for your answer! I have tried safe mode and factory reset and the problem persist... It's very weird... I changed the display days ago and after that i had contacted the phone to charge and suddenly the phone turns off when i turns on again I got a message about.. " his phone was turned off as a precaution. battery overheating" something like that was the message... Could be the problem something related with that?
