I got Huawei Ascend P6 (unlocked) but got some problem with Wi-Fi hotspot.
When Wi-Fi hotspot is off, everything works OK including internet access. But, if Wi-Fi hotspot is on, I cannot get access to internet from my phone no matter there is a phone connecting Wi-Fi hotspot.
I double checked my data plan and it allows tethering. Actually Wi-Fi hotspot works ok with the SIM card in Samsung Galaxy.
I upgraded the firmware B112 but the issue persists.
Can anyone help please?

Hey all. I am having issues with connecting my tablet to my wi-fi tether on my phone since I updated the 4.4.2. I keep getting the message "network disabled because internet connection is slow" when I try to connect. I was able to connect without issues before I updated to 4.4.2, have not made any changes to tethering settings on my phone and no power saving options are enabled on my tablet. I have also tried forgetting and reconnecting to my hotspot and this has not resolved my issue. My phone is a Sony Xperia Z and tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
Has anyone else had issues with connecting via wi-fi tether with 4.4.2 and if so are there any workarounds or fixes? I have searched the web and forums and have not found anything on this issue except for the Galaxy Note 3. Those issues have been resolved by changing some advanced options in wi-fi settings which have to do with wi-fi and cellular switching. My tablet is wi-fi only so I do not have those options.
I use my Mobile Hotspot to tether my Nexus 7 tablet in my car. I am running 5.0.1 Lollipop.
As soon as I turn the car off, the Mobile Hotspot turns off and the WiFi is turned on again. The phone will connect to my home wireless hotspot but there is no data tranfer.
Instagram says "Can't refresh feed" and Chrome cannot connect to the web.
In order to fix the problem I usually need to restart the device and then it will connect to WiFi will full connectivity again.
Any ideas?
Is my Mobile Hotspot locking something up in Android, like the MAC Address or IP Address or something until I reboot?
I've come across a quick fix I suppose. If I follow the steps below then I don't need to reboot the device to get the WiFi to work again:
1) Turn off Wifi before enabling Mobile Hotspot
2) Enable Mobile Spot
3) Turn off Mobile Hotspot when finished with it
4) Manually re-enable WiFi once Hotspot is off
Seems the issue stems from keeping the WiFi on when enabling the Mobile Hotspot. The Note 4 will automatically disable WiFi and re-enable WiFi on it's own if you do not manually disable the WiFi beforehand thus leading to the no internet connection issue.
Still curious what the actual issue is though.
UPDATE 10/14/2015: Seems as though the method I described above does not even work as a foolproof method for getting the WiFi to work properly again after hotspotting. Reboot is the only way to get it to work again. It's very temperamental.
I have been experiencing this same issue. I didn't link it to turning the mobile hotspot on and off until you mentioned it. I also have to reboot the phone to make Wi-Fi work again.

Hello guys, i got problem with my new le1 pro, wifi simply dont work, i see no wifi icon when i turn it on and no network. But wifi hotspot work, with my other phone i can connect to this hotspot. Any word of advice? Last option is return to seller, of course. Thanks.
So it was my stupidity, i must set wlan in router to autochannel and its work now, heh

I realized after the 8.1 update my OnePlus is not able to detect if the connected WiFi network has internet or not. Last time when I was connecting to WiFi networks like my dash cam which has no internet I would still be online over my 4g.
Anyone has this issue ?
Hello, i have a problem with the hotspot.
I want to make a hotspot from phone and use data on laptop.
The problem is that my laptop see the connection but there is no internet.
I checked my laptop with another phone and everything is working, so it must be problem on the Redmi side.
any thoughs how to fix that?
