On Lg Optimus G Pro I have some questions. First in TWRP can a backup of the stock rom be restored on the phone as of 9-23-2013? Second the install order.
Is it:
1. install fregee
2. install TWRP
3. install rom
or
1. install TWRP after root
2. install rom
1. Root
2. Freegee
3. Twrp
4. Install rom

I'm on a 4.1 .2 ROM and I'm using rom manager recovery what recovery do I need if I want to use 4.2 and what if I already have a recovery can I use two at the same time.or do I need to delet rom manager.
I have read that the newest ClockworkMod Recovery will not create the nested "/0" folders.
I recommend using the latest TWRP though.
You can update ClockworkMod from ROM Manager or you can install TWRP from the GooManager app.

Yes it will overwrite. You just need to flash it. And yes twrp works with 4.1.2

I'm currently on cwm non touch recovery an want to upgrade. I'm not sure which one I should upgrade but I see a lot of devs suggest twrp touch recovery so I guess that one. Do I just download the recovery an flash it on cwm? An when I do have it installed how do I flash ROMs do I just select the ROM an the recovery will clear caches? Or do I have to flash another zip before like with cwm I flashed the super wipes?

To flash TWRP you to get Goo Manager from the play store.
Open it up and click on "flash rom"... it will ask you if you want it to find you one. Select that option.
It will then say it will DL TWRP. Once it is done with the DL it will flash TWRP to your phone.
And bam....your in the latest TWRP

Thanks!!!!! I did it already. When I'm going to flash a new ROM what do I have to do? On cwm der was the superwipe zip I had to flash before is it the same on twrp?

Dont use super wipe. Not good with TWRP.
Do a full backup first of your current rom. Do a complete wipe. When you hit the wipe option it will tell you all that it will wipe.
Next hit install from the main menu...choose you zip for your rom. Let it do its thing then reboot system.
All done

Installing twrp now, but would it conflict with my old cwm? Or does it get deleted?

Ok so I don't need to remove it, and recovery mode is now controlled by twrp? I'm making a fresh backup now anyway, better safe than sorry.

Is there anyway to get CWM after the update from att? I already went through the soft brick it caused and the restore process then I rooted it before doing the update again but now when I use the freegee app it will not flash CWM. So does anyone know of a way that works after this update to get CWM again?

Hi, you can try the touch based recovery mentioned in G2V5 OP.. Install that apk. Tap on first toggle, give permissions, tap on 2nd toggle to reboot to CWM..

Hello,
I recently installed MIUI custom ROM for note 2.
Wanting to check out the new utilities in my phone I installed titanium back up pro but it showed me no root access, Ditto with root checker.
I tried installing supersu it says needs to update binary file gives me 2 options normal and TWRP/CWM
normal says not able to install the other option tells me to reboot
Hasn't worked
I'm new to all of this
If anyone could help I would be grateful

Which custom recovery are you using? Try to get latest supersu zip from XDA and flash it with your custom recovery manually, easy.
I've no idea what's a custom recovery is I flashed my phone following a tutorials on youtube using odin3
I'd be really happy if you explained it the noob way

I've rooted using one click root and I have King root app.
Now I want to install some recovery to install blisspop, but unable to install CWM recovery through Odin.
I've tried to install tar, but always going to stock and I'm unable to flash fix zip

Uncheck auto reboot in Odin. Once the flashing process finishes, remove battery, put it back and press volume up+home+power. It will boot to CWM
