Installed US generic 6506, used rooted method designed by DoomLord (after installation 267 ROM, downgraded kernel to 423, used DoomLord rooting soft, after getting root, flashed back kernel from 267, installed dual recovery - the same technique we used to root 244 ROM) and everything started working from the first boot, including LTE (FIDO/Rogers). Had to reinstall the latest walkman (in stock they put an old version). Haven't noticed big changes and improvements over previous 244. Due to the short time of using the new ROM (just few hours) it's impossible to evaluate it in full, but SEEMS it works a little bit faster than 244. keep testing and will share the notes later.

Yes, downgrade kernel, run exploit v18, then flash new kernel back.. Viola, .67 rooted.

Do it yourself from the ROM ftf file in WINRAR. I did it myself from the generic US version.
or make a search on XDA

Haven't noticed big improvements and changes. Battery live looks the same (see my screenshot). WIFI reception has improved a little bit (reception range became slightly wider.

Rom is worst than 244. First time facing heating and battery backup problem, it was faster before. Battery bug still not fixed, calender widget changed. (only good thing) . C6502 Indian. No major improvement as such. They could probably have concentrated on 4.3 instead.

battery bug not happen for me....i've rooted, install cwm, flash deodex.zip, flash mod purexaudio.etc....many times turn off turn on the phone....battery bug not happen...updated my ZL using flashtool with indonesian firmware....dont forget factory reset after update firmware...so far so good...now im waiting for battery performance(after 5 or more charging...we can see the result)

Oh please.. I always install clean Rom. If battery is 40% or less rebooting will change battery percentage. Well battery without stamina mode is worst. with stamina mode it's awesome. But there are certain issues for using stamina mode like frequent disconnection from data connection.

Do you use modified ROM or stock everything? I use the New firmware without any modification at all and does not produce heat, works better than the previous ROM

Mine too. Stock Rom 267. Normal browsing from 244 will never over 40 deg. Now going up to 44 deg.

stock ROM. heat is mostly produced when the screen is active for more than 10-15 min. otherwise no complains.

Upgraded to .67 and now my MMS doesn't work. I'm going to flash back to 244 and see if it works again.
wifi problem
have got wifi connection problems with the router (authentication problem), never got it with .244. have to reboot the router each time to resolve the issue.
Yea, I also have Wifi issues with this ROM. MMS issues persist, doesn't have a problem on 244.

Im not trying to put custom kernel,im trying to put .283 kernel,i read that it will reduce bterry drain.
NVM,i recently discovered that u can actually extract the ftf using 7zip so that it will appear as files before bundle creation.
However,my bttery drain still the same. The battery can only last 7hours something the longest. I even flash the 36 and 64 baseband and their libs but still dont change. I saw some people battery last for a day,i dont know why my battery still dont last

i am using Acronium 7.1 , Battery drains very quickly,
I use data 2G all time.
Same here...now using arconium 7.2 w/ doomkernel v19 baseband 58...drains batt quickly T_T
I tried them all,ics beta,team,arconium,miui etc.
Stock rom .62 with root/removed bloatware/doom v19 is still for me the best.
A bit undervolting and stockspeeds [ 1.4 Ghz Arc s ]
All other roms draining with 3g.
No issues with wathever,good batterylife etc etc.
I'm using the ROM of SE.Tweaked (v1.0), works fine and smooth. No issues and good battery life, much better than the original rom.

Arconium 7.2 is simply a beautiful rom for arc/arc s.
For the people with battery problem..flash the stock .283 kernel along with .36/.64 baseband.
With this config,i need to charge my phone for once in two days [full charge]
I alsoi have superchargerV6 and link2sd for lag-free performance and free internal memory
Disadvantages:
This kernel doesnt support overclocking/undervolting and many other features which doomkernel possesses

Seconded stock with doomkernel is best for me. Don’t see any differences between stock, arconium or se tweaked so dont see the point of them. As for the other roms something always seems to be broken or other problems such as battery drain issues and other bugs.

Please help me here, I've tried everything to install the new miui rom on my Sony Ericsson Arc S but I dont know why every time it get stuck on Sony logo.
I've have install a stock rom Lt18i_4.1.B.0.587_1254-8596_Generic, done the root with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874801
And install the recovery with the x-parts, after all the wipes the installation is complete and after reboot it get stuck on the boot.
Please help me here fellas!

It needs you to use a jb kernel... Is you boatloader unlocked? If no then Rom can't be installed...

Try a clean install. And wipe battery stats if possible.

You can use source from 4.3 of xperia z.i think z/zl can use same room

Can't depend on a non-stock kernel however, as it needs to be signed by Sony for a locked bootloader to accept it.
If we could figure out a way to sign kernels the way Sony does we would be laughing. At least until they find a way around locked bootloaders for people who can't unlock due to carrier like me being on rogers

Any special instruction to flash on C6502?
Do a clean install for best results, wipe cache and start fresh. If you want to do a 'dirty' install then avoid wiping apps and data. Otherwise it's smooth sailing, for any other info check the flashtool info/sticky/search. Happy flashing!

No one knows about performance yet it was only just pleased. Also no info on battery bug fix and so on. Does come with Z1 Camera. It's the Journalist build of 4.3 completely official firmware but yes it is a leak.

Performance is insane for me, it's soooo much faster than 4.2.2, I was getting sick of 4.2.2 lool.

It's the official rom, I went and flashed it with Flashtool..
my phone is the C6506 and it works.
i went into flashmode
selected the firmware on flashtool
and just flashed it
