hi
I´ve rooted and flashed my desire several times. rooted with unrevoked3 everytime and tried different roms like leedroid 2.2d, 2.2 f and rcmixhd 0.13. First time i did it i flashed leedroid 2.2d and it worked fine. After 1,5 months running leedroid my phone rebooted due to the overheating problems that 50 % of us suffer from (i rebooted it manually several times during those months and it worked until this day).
It got stuck at the bootupscreen with white background and green HTCtext. couldn´t install RUU via windows, had to grab the PB99IMG.zip onto my SD and boot into bootloader and restore my phone this way. Then i rooted it AGAIN, and flashed rcmixhd 0.13. Success! But only until i rebooted it manually, stuck at bootupscreen again.
I restored the phone from SD with pb99img as earlier. Flashed rcmixhd again and made sure i wiped everything (dalvik, cache, formatted sdcard and created a EXT), success! Until i rebooted my desire...back again.
Now im running stock non-rooted froyo. I´m getting tired of spending the night fixing it but i still want to use senseHD and i like tweaking stuff..
Do any of u guys recognize this problem and what can i do to fix it?
If any of you are from sweden, plz answer in swedish!
Same problem here, the only way i got to install a custom rom was by installing update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip. Then installed a custom rom by using the "Rom Manager" tool.
Downloading and flashing through recovery mode, "No, can do!"
Ok, but "update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip" isn´t that a custom ROM? Did you install that through ROM manager?
And did you flash another ROM on top of it?

yes this is a custom rom, i did a normal flash first to "update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip" (some how that worked???). Then i reflashed through the "ROM manager" tool.
Do you remember to always wipe everything in Recovery before flashing a new rom?
Seems like I always used to have a bootloop or bootfreeze when did not do the proper wipe.

i wiped everything even the Dalvik Cache, didn't help a thing.
Could is be that is has something to do with rom's that are not signed?
I have this same problem now, any possible sollutions?
Perdonally i would suggest to reformat your sd cards and try again. Dont forget to wipe everything.
Sent from my LeeDroided Desire HD
Happend to me once or twice.
What to do is, Turn of the phone take out battery do the neccessary wipes and formatting,
root
install clockwork mod from market, go to it and choose install recovery
install rom
install kernel (might affect it somehow)
reboot
I rooted my friends phone and installed hboot....S-Off along with ClockworkMod Recovery
he restarted his phone and now his market crashes and astro file manager..,and rom manager has dissapeard please help.. should he just full wip and install a new rom i dont want to brick hi device
What is your device?
You can try another rom, copy it to sd, make a wipe/ factory reset from the recovery menu and use also a full wipe tool - ext 3 or ext 4, depending to the rom you want install. After the wipe you have to install the rom, because all data have been deleted from the device.
The best is, to post this question in the thread of your used rom.
thank you for the reply no rom has been used yet this is still the stock rom on the DHD.... after installing hboot and S-off we installed clockwork which worked fine then we restarted in recovery to see if it work and again fine so we restarted the phone and rom manager had dissapeard... we tried to download it fromthe marketand it said insufficient storage memeory... and every since it just crashes as well as the astro and downloads are crashing
Perhaps you didn't powered off fully? Try to do so and then start again.
Hey guys. I have a slight problem.
I have MIUI as the rom on my phone. I then used bootmanager to install CM7 to my SD Card (slot 1). Then I installed gapps on to slot 1 as well (without any wipes). Then I booted in CM7. It booted up fine except now I have no gapps or any of the apps I had installed in MIUI except for the ones that come with CM7. I don't have Boot Manager or any way to install it. I tried restarting my phone too No go. Help me out guys!
Edit:
I have figured out how to get back to your phone rom. If you should get stuck in an SD card rom so you cannot get back to the phone rom using boot manager then just do a few steps:
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Choose Flash Zip from SD Card
3. Go to BootManager/phone rom folder
4. Flash update.zip (No need to wipe anything beforehand)
It should flash successfully. It went really quick for me too. I'm not sure of that was because of MIUI's size or because it was already installed.
I don't know why gapps didn't install, I'm pretty sure I flashed it correctly. Any help there?
I had the gapps flashing issue when I tried CM7 on my Desire S using the same method if that helps at all?
hey i'm a noob at this.. i rooted my htc evo 4g(2.3.3) with revolutionary and i have clockworkmod for installing my roms. i had kingdom rewind 3d installed and working perfectly, but i found another rom that i wanted to try. so i whiped data and formated my system and installed the new rom. i didn't like the new rom so i decided to switch back and now everytime i try to install the kingdom rewind 3d zip from sd card it keeps coming up with installation aborted. If someone could tell me what i'm doing wrong please tell me!

Ok first off,you should have backed up(nandroid)the kingdom rewind before installing the new rom(very important!),there is a chance that the kingdom rewind rom zip could be corrupted for a few reasons,i would install the other rom that worked and redownload the kingdom rewind rom, then put it on your sd card, backup the current rom, just in case(nandroid, very important!),install kingdom get it where you want it and back it up(nandroid, very important!),then you should be good to go.
You need to go read my guide, in my signature. It'll tell you everything you need to know
Also, make sure that you only have one ROM zip file on your SD card.

Huh? I have like 5 on mine. You can have as many as you want.
okay yeah you're right i forgot to do a backup like you said but now it won't flash any roms i keep getting the same thing for every roms zip. Installation aborted. i have an app on my mac that reformatted my sd card and whiped it could that possible be the problem? i still have a recovery of my original 2.3.3 which is what i'm use to restore into.

Meant, with the PC36IMG nomenclature.
BrandonNatal: So you have the ROM.zip on your memory card, your able to go into recovery, start the flash process. That's where you're met with the error? Or your naming the zip of your ROM PC36IMG, putting the memory card in your phone and entering bootloader? Have you done any recent updates?
The problem is that you're using Clockwork mod, which doesn't wipe properly.
Get Amon Ra, do a full wipe and try again
hi guys, need some help. I tried upgrading my GB rom to Beanstalk kitkat 4.4 but came across some problems. I installed 4ext custom recovery. i partitioned the sd card to the recommended settings and then tried installing rom. got the status 7 error several times. i then decided (stupidly) to install TWRP custom recovery. i then tried flashing my rom and got updating partition error and everything try to install is not failed. I cannot restore cause i wiped my phone clean and there is no rom/stock running. any ideas what i can do?

Did you, by any chance, change your hboot? Or are you on stock? Changing could explain the status 7.
There should be a "mount usb storage" option in the recovery. Use it, connect the phone to your PC, and put a different ROM on the sd card, then flash it.
