I do not have the rom installed whipe date was given not know what to do! only is the screen fastboot, HBoot, Reboot
First, open the rom zip file in your pc, you will find a file called "boot.img". Extract it to your fastboot folder.
Now from the start menu, type "cmd", and using the commands "cd.." and "cd (folder name)" find the folder with the tools.
Restart your phone with power while pressing vol-, enter fastboot. Connect it to your pc via USB.
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img", it will push an flash the file.
Type "fastboot erase cache"
Now if you are using CWM recovery it's possible to mount your SD, do it and put the rom zip file on the phone internal memory.
Now enter recovery, wipe dalvik and install zip from SD card, find the rom zip and choose it. It will install, reboot and voila!

You must flash the boot.img than it should work i think..means it's not enough to flash the Rom...you will find it in the Rom.zip ..open it with winrar..use now a tool to flash the file..or open a terminal ..you must have the sdk installed..go to the directory and than to tools and type fastboot flash boot boot.img..your phone must be in fastboot mode...
You phone is not dead or bricked

OK, the problem is that i can't go in the fastboot on the phone, the phone is stuck like in the image below. I'll wait battery to be finished and then recharge it. Or, it is another solution? thanks
No, don't let the battery go empty or you will have more problems.
Boot to bootloader and follow the steps in previous post. Don't panic, everything will be fine.
--EDIT--
Check this thread, it's a good tutorial on how to flash a new rom and boot.img

Don't let the battery to die, just hold down power for 10 seconds and it will go off. Now hold vol- and power until you enter bootloader mode. From there select fastboot and follow the previous instructions.

I`ve installed a stock kernel because the previous kernel wasn't working well, but now my phone keeps rebooting.
It starts up and after the "htc one x" logo is showed it reboots.
This is the kernel I've installed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1692404&page=2
And I'm using a stock ROM (1.29)
I'm sorry for asking, but I'm not that experienced with loading kernels so I'm a little stressed out that I've bricked my phone or something..
Can someone please ~give advise?
did u flash the modules?

There are essentially three steps to flashing a new kernel:
Flash the new kernel using fastboot flash boot filename.img
Erase cache using fastboot erase cache
Reboot into recovery and push the new kernel's modules by installing the .ZIP file from your device's SD card.
Tnx for your reply man!
Only now I have a different problem..
My phone doesn't start at al!!
I had to work today so I left my phone on the charger all day, to try your method tonight.
When I tried to start it up the only thing I get is the red led blinking a few times and thats it..
When I left my phone on the charger last night it looked like it was charging (red led burning continuously).
Anyone any ideas what's the problem now? (and how to fix of course )
-update 5 min later: now I don't even get the red led blinking anymore )
-update another 5 min later: strangely enough the led blinks again
In the meantime I'm back in the bootloader! :good:
What now?
Can you really simply explain how to flash the boot.img?
I dont understand how it works exactly..
Sorry for being so ignorant, but if I was foreseeing this sh*t I would never have touched my kernel
thanks in advance!
1. download boot.img and modules zip from the link
2. copy boot.img to fastboot folder.
3. open cmd, cd to where your fastboot folder is and then type:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
4. boot phone into recovery, mount USB storage and copy modules zip to your phone
5. unmounts USB storage and install modules zip from recovery menu
6. reboot phone and it should boot

So I've booted my phone in the bootloader en then selected fastboot. Then I leave it there and open the CMD on my pc
The boot.img is in the my downloads folder.
So in CMD I should type: C:\Users\Jan\Downloads>fastboot flash boot boot.img
And than it says that the command is not recognized...
to be more specific, it says: fastboot is not recognized as internal or external command, program or batchfile

you copy the boot.img to the same folder that the fastboot files are in
Edit: you should really READ the INSTRUCTIONS before you act. if you unlocked your bootloader to do some modding, which you would have HAD TO DOWNLOAD THE FASTBOOT FILES AND PERFORM THE FASTBOOT COMMANDS FROM WITHIN THE FASTBOOT DIRECTORY

Yeah I know.. I'm stupid as hell and I have learned a lot. I thought I knew enough, but apparently not..
But now I want my phone to work again, so excuse me for asking, but where are my fastboot files?
I've unlocked my bootloader using the method on this site:
http://onexroot.com/one-x-root/how-to-root-one-x/
But when I copy boot.img in the folder that guy uses (foldername: oneXRoot) the cmd 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' still fails.
I feel really bad, but I really hope you guys can have mercy and patience with me...
the fastboot.exe is in the OneXRoot folder
open cmd, cd to that folder and then run the fastboot command:
cd c:\users\jan\downloads\onexroot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
As shown in the attached image. Sorry if we sound rude, but as I have found out in the last day or so..... there are just some people that don't read instructions, and/or don't understand what they are doing (when all info that they need is in the Rom-dev section)
In other terms. You have to have your boot.img in the same folder as where your adb and fastboot files are
To check if your on the right track, ctrl+rightclick on a blabk space in a folder and select "open command window here" then type fastboot?

Thanks for al your help you guys, but now I know what's really wrong with my phone.
I've a wrong version of clockworkmod installed. In this version the usb storage function doesn't work, so I can't place a new ROM on my phone.
I wanted to install a working version of clockwork, but now my battery is drained! (at least below 30%) :crying:
I tried to load the battery, but that doesn't work anymore.
Anyone some ideas?

Hate it that the one x has got a build in battery
I really don't have a clue what to do now. The only thing I need is a charged battery, but it looks like theres no way to charge it
I'm not gonna buy a new phone because my battery is empty
dont worry when your phone is completely out of juice you will be able to charge it... happened to me while i was stuck in bootloader myself...
yeah I know, there has to be a way, but the only question is how?
I'm thinking of opening up my phone and charge it with a power supply.
Back in the days with my old HD2 it would be easy...
I tried to root and install CM10 on my HTC One X (AT&T) (v2.20). However, I have run into trouble. Here is what happened:
Successfully rooted phone using Hasooon2000's All-in-one Kit
Flashed Recovery Successfully (I think) using the All-in-one Kit
I'm now able to boot into "TWRP" but I'm not really sure what to do next.

Yes, unfortunately.
Is the phone an evita or endevour? (quad core or dual core). What recovery did you flash? CWM or TWRP?
Try connecting the phone through usb and go to your adb folder and type in cmd: fastboot devices / fastboot list devices see if it is recognized.
Also try holding the power button and volume down button for 1 minute, it might reboot a few times and go back to the screen but I think it should jump back to your Hboot.

Thanks! Okay, I was able to get to TWRP but I'm not sure what to do next.
Well if you are in the recovery now make sure the rom you have downloaded is on your phone.
First open the rom.zip in your computer and take out the file called boot.img. Put this file in your fastboot folder.
Now boot your phone back into fastboot mode
then run this in cmd. "fastboot flast boot boot.img" from the folder your fastboot is located etc. if you are using the boot.img flasher from the rom make sure to put the boot.img there
It will send the boot.img to your phone and say if it is succesful.
Next boot back into your recovery and install the rom zip from inside the recovery.
wrong section, don't flash anything here..

Bro u have a dual core(At&t) version. The hardware is totally different ..Please post in in the thread for ur phone.
Dont flash anything from here!
Thanks! This worked. I'm now running Jelly Bean -- way better than all that AT&T garbage!

Re: CM10-> Sence. Now doesn't load and won't go to recovery[HELP]
If you have a copy of the stock Rom zip on your pc, extract the boot.img from within the zip into the folder where Fastboot is. Then go into Fastboot mode on the phone, plug in USB cable and it should change to Fastboot USB (in red) on the phone.
Once in that mode run a dos terminal command: Fastboot flash boot boot.img (run dos window in Fastboot folder or specify full path to boot.img).
It should only take 3-5 seconds to complete.

I meant to finish by saying, if you don't have a copy of the zip on pc, you should be able to copy the file using adb.exe.
At "Fastboot USB" mode on phone, on pc in terminal window type: adb devices. If it returns a long number then that's your phone serial number and your good to go.
Type adb /? to see all commands. Near top will list adb pull. See syntax there. Think it's just adb pull <zip filename> but check. That should copy file from phone to pc. Then you can extract boot.img and then follow my steps above

If you hold shift and right click in side the fastboot folder, it will open a cmd window in that location.
To navigate in cmd you use the CD command
E.g
CD C:\\ will take you to the root of C drive.
CD C:\\fastboot will take you to the folder "fastboot" and so on.

2. Then choose "fastboot" and not recovery!! But fastboot
3. Make sure so you have connected your htc one x with the USB cable to PC
4. Than go to your fastboot folder on PC (make sure if you have all needed HTC drivers) and extract from rom file "boot.img" and copy it here!
5. When you are in this folder hold shift and right click in folder and choose "Open Command Promt in this folder" or something like this
6. Then just type to command prompt this:
fastboot erase cache
then wait when it says okay.
then:

wait till it says okay.
Power off device again and again hold down volume button with power button then choose RECOVERY
When you get into your recovery wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and flash rom
