Dear,
Please help me!
I don't know why my HOX had changed IMEI, now I can't using my phone - it always asked me input unlock code and others function seem be as normal.
IMEI is not the same as show in barcode .
Now check by *#06#: 0049999010640000
Origin must be: 35304xxxxxxxxx
Check via fastboot by command: fastboot getvar all - it is OK - show the same barcode.
My One X check by fastboot getvar all:

As long as you do not have S-OFF it is not possible to restore your IMEI
Waouuuuuuuu............

I run RUU file: RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.24_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_296434_signed.exe
and check after that - the trouble did not solved.
Looking for solution from you, this it appear when upgarde to JB so may be can solved it by downgrade HBOOT to downgrade firmware to ICS.
If this way cannot public - please send email to me.:good:
Thanks.
AFAIK there is no solution is you're not S-OFF.
You have to contact HTC SAV and ask them what to do.
No idea, sorry. I've no clue as to what the deal is with the software on cloned phones. The IMEI is supposed to be hard coded in to the firmware on the phone and untouchable.
Could well be the network has recognised it as a clone and blocked the IMEI, but I couldn't say that was actually the case with any degree of certainty.
Moreover, changing your IMEI is illegal as far as I'm aware, so we can't discuss it here, sorry.
If you bought it, contact the previous owner and ask him.
Good luck in your searches,
Franky

You can't downgrade hboot if you're not S-Off.
Thanks, I already send an email to HTC support but must have waiting solution respond from them,
also when waiting respond from them - who can please provide me nand ICS backup for Asia-wwe (or the link me can download).
this may be: Nandroid Backup 1.19.707.1 CID HTC__044 or Nandroid Backup 2.17.707.3 CID HTC__044, I find out some link in here [COLLECTION]Stock Nandroid Backups for Different CIDs but it was removed.
I will try restore and check.
Thanks.
If you do a "fastboot getvar all", the IMEI is OK so it looks like the firmware spits out the correct IMEI, but not in *#06#.
Isn't it just something in your build.prop?? Or some other file?

How did you upgraded to hboot 1.72? I couldn't find any update for 1.72 for cid: HTC__044.
I am having the same issue. I am on hboot 1.36. Tried every thing but no luck. Looking for trying a Hboot upgrade.
When your imei is gone you won't get it back just like that. It needs or a jtag solution via a shop or get it rewritten by an official repair centre/HTC !
And when you want to do it yourself you need at least s-off.....but that is also not really possible.

Yes but there is one problem.....you can't perform official updates from HTC ! It's not the official rom for your phone !!!
You're not stuck in a bad situation, if you ask me. Just download a rom, which supports your device. You're good to go ! What happens if your hard disk goes blank and/or is a new one ? You just install windows back from a dvd, or whatever source. Same here. Just go to the recovery and install a stock/custom rom that SUPPORTS your device. That's it. :good:

Why, and I mean this in a nice way, is your solution to everyone to unlock or root their phone? If the person just wants it working again then read what they're asking and advise accordingly.
To the OP, can you post the output of 'fastboot getvar all' and we can see what FW build you're on and what we can do to help, shouldn't be too hard

OK, that confirms you're on the old HBOOT (3.16.0000) and is pretty much the issue as to why it's not working as Lollipop ideally needs HBOOT 3.19.0000 to go with the new FW. Was your device a branded phone when you bought it brand new or was it a SIM-free version (e.g. was it on x.xx.401.x first)?

Its not the OS software that is being referred to here. The "firmware" (admittedly, a crappy name as "firmware" can mean a great many things really) is the hboot, radio, media, WiFi and other modules. If your firmware doesn't match the ROM, WiFi being broken is the common result.

Just get back to the stock ROM that matches your current firmware (your hboot indicates that would be Android 4.4.2) and WiFi will work again.
Restore stock ROM and stock recovery for your CID, and it should enable OTA, which yes, that will update your firmware. You'll have to work through a few OTAs, as you are now a couple versions behind.
Was it T-Mobile US or EU? If the former, the RUU is online

Its not just hboot, but all the modules in the firmware "package" that are the issue. Meaning, just updating hboot alone won't fix your WiFi issue.
Hboot is just one of the ways you can (usually) tell what firmware you are on. You can look at the radio number as well.

That's what I wanted to check. The T-Mobile US RUUs are online, EU ones are not so you'll need to restore a backup based on 1.5x - there should be one in the backups thread. What country are you in?

I Recently Rooted And S-off'd my HTC One M8 (Sprint)
No problems there.
I was being a dumb ass and installed a new radio frequency without backing mine up..
This caused my phone to start a boot loop, so I reset it.
I have no OS so I can't turn on debugging
When I attempt to sideload or push a zip ADB tells me it can't find my device.
I am using Clockwork Mod Recovery.
Do I need to use RUU?
I can boot into recovery or bootloader.
I'm looking to go back to stock and lock my bootloader.
Any help is welcome.
I'll update if I can get anything working here

If you can boot into recovery, download a ROM onto your PC, then transfer it to your extSD. Flash that and you will have a working phone again. Since you are S-Off, you can then find the appropriate firmware package to get you radio back to normal (which it still may be).

I don't have an extSD to do that with. HTC One m8's don't have them (as far as I'm aware) and do you have any links to the firmware packages I can use? If not. I'm sure I can look around for them.

If you are not having radio issues, then don't bother worrying about it. If you are having them, flash the official RUU from HTC's website to fix your stuff.
Also, having two accounts is against XDA rules (rule #14). You should delete one of them.

Hey guys..
I've been on cyanogenmod cm 12.1 for about six months now.. And completely out of touch with the entire process
So I'm s-on and wanted to go back to stock marshmallow from cm12.1
Which is the best way to go About it? Would really appreciate any help/advice.
Thank you so much!

Relock your bootloader and run your RUU (hopefully you have a RUU for your device). Make sure your MID and CID match to that of your RUU. You are back to complete stock (Marshmallow).

A RUU would be an ideal start.
To better assist, how exactly did you get CM12.1 on that HTC to begin with? I'm s-off so I have no idea whether there are more or less steps involved.
I want to make sure the info I dig up applies to your situation and device. Take your time to gather any details you recall.

Awesome! Thank you! Any link to where I can get the right ruu mate? Thanks a lot!

That depends on which device you have. What is the MID/CID of your device?
---------- Post added at 11:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:46 AM ----------
RUU's can be downloaded directly from HTC.

Post the results of fastboot getvar all. Make sure to delete the serial# and IMEI from your post (that's private info)
With your getvar it will be easiest to direct you on the proper RUU for your device.

Here is the 4.16.401.10 RUU. This will take you back to stock so that you can receive the Marshmallow OTA.
Download that to your PC, then hook up your phone. Since you are S-On, you will need to relock your bootloader first. In fastboot: fastboot oem lock
Then double click on the RUU.exe that you downloaded and follow the prompts.
After you are back to stock, check in settings > about > software updates. You should get an OTA to update to Marshmallow. It might not come right away. Be patient. It might take a couple of days to receive the OTA notification.
Good luck!
