[Q] [Help]Stuck in "Unlock bootloader" screen - HTC One V

I was using hasoon2000's All-in-one toolkit to unlock bootloader, root and flash a new ROM;
Everything was going smoothly, my "Vol+" key never worked, but I could do everything with the Vol-, so I didn't pay much attention...
Now, the power key has always worked, but I hadn't been able to boot into bootloader using the power + Vol- keys, I thought I was doing something wrong, and just used the script in the Toolkit to boot for me. Now, I think the Power key is not working on bootloader, for some reason, because I need to press the Power key to agree (selecting "yes, unlock bootloader (may void your warranty)"), and I can't!
I'm stuck now, I can't reset, I can't shut down, I can't accept, I can't decline (because all of that is done with the Power key!)
Is there anything I can do? Run a script to accept perhaps? or at least reset it...
Any help is appreciated

Have you tried pushing the key hard? Many power keys die easily with this phone. Or is it just the bootloader? Does it turn on by pushing it normally or you have to push a lot?

Pushing, holding, pressing, praying... nothing works. Eventually it restarted, i'm back to the non-unlocked phone.
The key works perfectly, any press wakes the phone, i can hold to reset, etc...
BUT, try as I might, i can't boot into bootloader (I need to use the script from the toolkit to do even that), and after i'm in bootloader, the power key doesn't work at all.
The question now is, Is there any way for me to install a ROM without a functioning power key?

What happens if you hold down the volume button while booting your device?
will try it here....holding the volume down? pls reply asap....thanx for helping
its not really reacting with any button once it get stucked to HTC logo
yea, to boot into the bootloader.
If you hold down the "volume button down" while booting your device it must show the colored screen within a second. Just hold down the "volume down" while pressing the reset button on the back. Keep holding the "volume down" till you see the colored screen.
tell me how please...i will have to remove the battery and put it back in...then it will still charge.....anyway...the only way i can start there is to press the power button and it will start up....but it will get stuck in HTC logo....when do i start going to bootloader in there....pls help...
Have you not tried a hard reset yet?
If that still does not work the flash a new ROM - while connected via bootloader ( only way )
i can still go to bootloader here sir....thanks for staying with me.....then what should i do next

Remove the battery, place the battery, hold down the "volume down" button, start your device ( while still holding the "volume down" button ).
Try a hard reset first as mentioned above:
Hold down the "volume down" button + the round button on the front, then reset your device while still holding those two buttons.

Download a ROM and flash it while the device is still in that mode.

1. restart the phone (with the pen in the small red button at the pen hole)
2. immediately after you have restarted, hold down the volume down button.
3. now you should be in three color bootloadermode.
4. connect your usb cable (after that you will see USB at the white color part)
5. start your custom ruu to flash your new rom.
good luck
edit..
aaaa u solved it while i was writting
great.
To hard reset -
reset your device with the stylus the before anything appears on the screen hold down the Vol down key and the centre button - follow the instructions - but don't use the volume down option unless you want to format you internal memory too.
have you tried to reflash rom? another rom possibly?
trying to do hard reset again...and this time it applies....dont know why it's not reacting awhile ago....

can't boot into recovery (Inc 2)

i heard that you simply hold down the VOLUME DOWN and POWER BUTTON at the same time to boot into recovery, however whenever i try it does nothing until i release my finger from the POWER BUTTON and then it just boots normally.
what's the proper way of doing this with this phone?
thanks
[EDIT] as stated below, i got it to work. rather then powering off completely and trying it, i ended up just doing a simple reboot and then it worked.

Did you flash the recovery correctly? Try reflashing it if it won't work.

i got it. apparently i was doing it incorrectly. i was powering down the phone completely and then attempting it.. i finally tried to just 'reboot' the phone and then it worked.
go into "settings" click "power".. and make sure "Fast Boot" is un-checked.
Same here. Even though Fastboot was disabled, I cannot boot into recovery from off state.
If I power up the phone normally, then select restart, and while the phone is rebooting--I press and hold the down volume key; THEN it boots into the menu that gives me the choice of booting into recovery.
Oh well, it worked...
Hello Root, bye-bye bloat!
Waiting for some CM7 goodness to spread our way.

[Q] Alternate ways to get into recovery after a bad flash?

My Desire is gonna be 4 years old soon, so naturally a few bits & pieces aren't as good as new. My main problem is the volume down button: It's just dead. It doesn't do anything, no matter how hard / where I press. It used to be that it didn't register anything just after the 3rd-4th try, but now it does nothing at all.
I like installing roms, but now I'm afraid, what if I encounter a bad flash? If I get a bootloop, I just can't get into recovery via the volume down + power combo. And that would mean that my phone is dead. Bricked.
Is there any way to change this combination to, for example trackpad + power button, or something like this? Or is there any way to get into recovery when I encounter a bootloop / bad flash that doesn't require pressing the volume down button?

Back+power button gets you in fastboot. Then select Bootloader, and then recovery.
Or you can use back + power to get into fastboot, then use "fastboot boot recovery.img" to boot directly into the recovery.
Or
adb reboot recovery
From your PC via USB cable, you can type that even when currently in bootloop ( no need to pull battery)
Thank you, I'm a little more optimistic about flashing now

No ROM, can't access bootloader, stuck in bootloop

Hey guys,
Ok, this is a tough one for you. I'm actually not 100% convinced that my phone isn't hard bricked. But every where I look for, it says, it's only hard bricked if your phone wont turn on at all and that's just not true in my case. So here's the story:
My volume-up button is kind of screwed, I don't know, what happened to it, but one day, it just started being triggered randomly until it just didn't work at all anymore. It wasn't that big of a problem, since I was still able to change the volume by hitting the volume-down button once and changing the volume by the on screen slider. I was running SkyDragon GPE V5.5 for quite a while now.
But now I wanted to upgrade to Android 6.0, so I downloaded the firmware from here. Next I rebooted to bootloader switched to fastboot and used "sudo fastboot oem rebootRUU" and "sudo fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" twice. So far so good, everything went fine and I actually even am able to see the new Google splashscreen.
So now I want to flash this ROM. But, for some reason, the touchscreen doesn't work anymore, even though it's activated in the CWM Philz Touch GUI settings enabled. Alright, so I "wipe to install a new ROM" and navigate to the zip file to install it and it starts the aroma installer, which I can't control since the touchscreen doesn't work. So, I'm kind of frustrated by now, I flash TWRP, because, maybe here, the touchscreen works. I flash it and try to reboot into it. But it doesn't work, it just stays at the Google splashscreen, I can restart by holding down the power button but it will just go back to the Google splashscreen. After a couple of tries I actually get it to turn off, so I hold down power and volume down to get into the bootloader but it just goes back to the splashscreen.
I can't get to the bootloader, I don't have a ROM installed and I can't get into the recovery. Is there anything I can still do or is everything lost?
Which TWRP version ? You need to use 2.8.7.0
You can't get to bootloader because of the timing when pressing power & volume down button.
If you can turn it off, press and hold volume down button then press power button until it vibrates then release the power button.

Install Lineage OS on HTC ONE M8, with broken volume buttons.

Hi
I have been wanting to speed up my HTC One M8 for some time now. Doing so i've heard installing a new OS would help, like for instance LineageOS. Unfortunately the volume buttons on my phone are broken due to me opening up the phone to fix certain parts. Everything else is working to its fullest, however the volume buttons seem to be beyond repair. I've looked at quite a few guides to flash an OS rom onto my phone, however all these seem to require me navigating with the volume buttons through the bootloader. Is it possible to either simulate a press on volume buttons perhaps through ADB, or completely install the new OS with the phone fully opened? If you have any ideas i'm open for suggestions, as the phone is starting to get quite slow, however i would appreciate an in-depth guide, as i've worked very little with ADB and such.
Any help is appreciated

No way to simulate a button press, that I know of. You don't have access to adb while in bootloader, anyway . You do have access to fastboot, but that is rather limited.
Getting the bootloader unlocked and flashing custom recovery TWRP with the phone open, is possible I suppose. Then after that, I guess you can conceivably boot TWRP and flash a ROM without the vol buttons. But I'd be really hesitant to mod the phone without working vol buttons. The requirement to navigate with the vol buttons in bootloader, as well as the button combo to force a reboot (power+vol up) or boot to bootloader (power+ vol down) are pretty crucial.

c:\adb.exe reboot recovery
or
c:\adb.exe reboot botloader
